I am getting ready to run a storyline where the Axis Powers won WW II and the campaign city is under the control of the Japanese. I need help with Japanese names for the following concepts: A flyer, sex and power set being whatever (if anyone has any good ideas, I'm open) A female who can become desolid (effectively a ghost) and has a "death touch" while Desolid A male who can cause any object he touches to explode (including people) A male shrinking martial arts master/assassin A male Japanese version of Superman A male lightning thrower Thanks in advance!

Golden Age: The original Batman stories where he carried a pistol and fought vampires and werewolves --- the period where he was part superhero, part pulp hero. The JSA was awesome --- I still think the GA Green Lantern costume is the best design ever for GL, as well as the "Mercury helmet" Flash costume. Silver Age: Fantastic Four, Avengers, Thor, and Spider-Man --- all of these books were awesome in scope and fun to read all the way up to the mid-80s Jim Steranko's Nick Fury stories Bronze Age: Green Lantern/Green Arrow, the entire Atlas Comics run (anyone remember those?), the X-Men from GS #1 through Dark Phoenix, the Defenders, Iron Fist, Master of Kung Fu, and Tomb of Dracula

As my campaign approaches the limits of a power level that I've not dealt with very much (475 - 500), I'm beginning to find myself struggling with creating villains that give my players challenges without being too overwhelming. I was wondering if anyone had a system they used to create/compare villains' power level to their players to make challenges that are neither push-overs or gods. Any help would be appreciated.

I know there have been posts on this before, but I really need some help. I just got Photoshop 7.0 and I want to start coloring the grayscale pictures from the Hero books for my campaign (i.e. private use). However, for the life of me, I can't seem to get a handle on how to do it. Can any of you artists out there give me a step-by-step tutorial or know where I can get my hands on one? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Re: Plot Seeds for Time Mastervillain Other time manipulating villains are being attacked one by one and having their powers/gadgets stolen, siphoned or whatever, and after a couple of time anomaly mishaps (dinosaurs showing up downtown, etc.) the heroes discover Timemaster is behind the attacks. What is he doing and why?

I was using the old Marvel cardboard minis until one of my players took the character pics we were using, scanned them, and created 28mm cardboard minis. We now have unique minis of the heroes and villains we use! Way to go Chris! err...I mean Fantastic Man....

Archangel here. ARRRGH! I HATE mutants....

In my campaign, the heroes were able to calm Grond down enough so he could revert back to his real form (I run him very similar to the rampaging Hulk/Bruce Banner vein). He was hurt, so our resident speedster rushed him to a hospital. While there, mysterious MIBs took him and disappeared.....

Here's my thought on this whole thing --- I'm a DH subscriber who just renewed my subscription. The .pdf format is no big deal when I know I can burn the book to a disc and take it to Kinko's for them to print and bind for me. I also playtest and have no problem buying what I playtest as 1) what I see is not the finished product by a long-shot, and 2) I'm a completist. Spending $12 was not an issue for me. I have yet to see a (GOOD) module from either SAS or M & M for $12.95. They have both put out adventures, SAS costing $9.95 and M & M costing $16.95, but neither is near as good as SoB.

I have a player who wants to create a character that is in a wheelchair in her secret identity and activates nanotechnology to walk in her superhero id (i.e. her powers are enhanced CHA in the "suit"). What would be the best way to build that? She would still retain all her secret id skills, etc. when in costume. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't seen one in 5th Ed. yet but there is one in the Dark Champions supplement Eye For An Eye that I have converted over. I can send it to you if you'd like.

Now it's my turn. The Templar and Mole were co-running a story arc that I played in (I needed a break from running) where they worked SO LONG on desigining characters. One character they used, the Templar was very proud of, was another member of the Sinister Syndicate called Bloodsport, transaformed into a character named Leo. On paper, Leo was a monster, with high DEX and SPD, and varous ways of killing you. Templar couldn't wait to throw him at us. Whe he did, another character, Tempus, the swashbuckling time manipulator, made a critical hit on Leo and knocked him into GM's discretion with his first hit! The look on Templar's face was priceless.....

Does anyone have a resource to translate english phrases into Chinese/Japanese/Korean, etc. phonetic language (i.e. not written character translations)?) For example, if I have a Chinese character named "Speed Shadow" in English, what would be the Chinese pronunciation of that name? How would you spell it out with the english alphabet? Thanks.

I have scanned and colored some of the pics (I just have MS Paint so the grayscale stuff I can;t do anything with). They aren't the quality of Nato or Storn's but they are better than nothing. Nato or Storn: Is there something one could do with the paint program regarding the grayscale pics in the books? Just curious. Thanks.
