  2. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I'm working through season two of the Wild, Wild West.
  3. Re: Best superhero titles of the 70's Absolutely! Besides the Defender, the Avengers were great in the 70s, as well as Master of King Fu, Iron Fist, and I could go on and on. A bulk of my collection is "brilliant but canceled" comics fo the 1970s.
  4. Re: Sonof Secret Origins! When did you start reading superhero comics? The first comics I remember reading were Amazing Spider-Man 108 and Fantastic Four 122. My grandparents owned a supermarket so I started getting one of everything that came every Tuesday starting when I was 8 - 9 (1975 -1976) until I went to college in 1985 and they sold the store and retired. One of these days I'll start selling off my 55 long boxes of comics, once my wife gets tired of me taking up so much space in the basement...
  5. Re: Help with old 4th Edition adventure I'd have to dig the module out of storage to be sure, but I believe Atlas' front was called Prometheus.
  6. Re: An Old Quiz, But A Nice One. You scored as Storyteller. You're more inclined toward the role playing side of the equation and less interested in numbers or experience points. You're quick to compromise if you can help move the story forward, and get bored when the game slows down for a long planning session. You want to play out a story that moves like it's orchestrated by a skilled novelist or film director. Tactician 83% Storyteller 83% Butt-Kicker 67% Power Gamer 50% Specialist 50% Method Actor 42% Casual Gamer 25%
  7. Re: [Campaign] DEFENDERS CONGREGATE!! It is always so much fun to see hw an unexpected action by a player (you when you pulled that dagger stunt with Black Paladin way when when) becomes such a cool spring-board for a storyline. And you blew up Headless Cross...a worthy successor you have become! Can't wait for Season V.
  8. Re: [Campaign] DEFENDERS CONGREGATE!! Why am I not surprised that Nighthawk was the only one who didn't fall for the old "exploding elevator" deathtrap...
  9. Re: [Campaign] DEFENDERS CONGREGATE!! The orbiting particle beam cannon! Love it!
  10. Re: Now Taking Preorders For the Champions 25th-Anniversary Special Edition! How long to we have before ordering is closed? I won't be able to make the down-payment until the end of this week.
  11. Re: [Campaign] DEFENDERS CONGREGATE!! Very cool. Better plot than I had planned. You make me proud, Templar. SNIFF!
  12. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Y'know, the one thing I hated most about having to relocate for my job was losing the best group of players (and friends) I ran in my 20+ years of playing Champions. However, Templar is a very able replacement, and actually has better ideas for season 4 of the Defenders campaign than what I had come up with! The Defenders rule! Miss you guys (and gal).

    The Blood

Re: The Blood I haven't done any write-ups, but the Blood are basically my version of the Inhumans.
  14. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? My 1984 Playlist on Itunes...right now it's playing "TUrn Up the Radio" by Autograph.
  15. Re: Campaign length My longest so far has been two years --- I'm on hiatus right now to recharge my batteries, and one of my players is running a sci-fi/horro game for a little while, then we will resume my game again; I plan on this campaign running for a long time.
  16. Re: Batman Begins I saw it last night on the IMAX screen. Very good. Blows away the other four combined.
  17. Re: Adventure Seeds--Title Tag O Brother Where Art Thou? A mystic PC who is an only child starts having visions of a man claiming to be his/her brother in terrible trouble in a Hell dimension. Investigating, he/she discovers that he/she indeed does have a brother who was taken into said Hell Dimension by a sorcerer who foresaw a porphecy where the two siblings would join forces and destroy him. Now the PCs must find the Hell dimension and rescue the brother... "Revenge of Danny Deevers" "Those Who Walk Away From Millennium City" "Queen of the Reich"
  18. Re: What's the most outrageous plot your PCs have ever been subjected to Ah, yes, Templar, but the one-who-does-not-exist will return...it was all part of THE MASTER PLAN! The Dark Foxbat Saga....hmmmm....
  19. Re: Pulp Reading Books/stories: Well, although H.P. Lovecraft's stories are more in the "Horror Hero" vein, those would be good sources for the era. The Fu Manchu novels The Father Brown Novels R.E Howards John Kirowan stories (again, more Horror Hero but they still have that pulp feel) Ironcastle, as translated by Jose Philip Farmers Movies: The obvious Indiana Jones trilogy, plus the Mummy and the Mummy Returns Any of the 1940s movie serials The television show Tales of the Gold Monkey with Stephen Collins
  20. Re: Egyptian villain name needed Is it possible for you to post the picture so we can see what he/she looks like? That helps sometimes.
  21. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Bump!
  22. Re: Champs Worldwide: Whaddya want? Full body artwork for character write-ups instead of just head and should shots.
  23. Re: If Champions didn't exist... I would no longer play supers and would probably go to Call of Cthulhu.
  24. Re: Forgotten Golden Age Villains I love the Golden Age and that is the second-most detailed period of my campaing timeline (the first being the Victorian Age). I have found several useful pages on the net, most notably the Golden Age Villain Encyclopedia Page: http://www.geocities.com/cash_gorman/
