  1. She isn't my first choice either, but love a live action Ahsoka. Dual wielding white lightsabers for the win.
  2. Yeah, if you are going to play the Mandalorian, you don't show your face. Take a lesson from Karl Urban in Dredd.
  3. Always has been the Man of Steel. So many reasons. Sense of morality, great adoption story, iconic. Love his power set, and honestly he's got some great stories. Inspirational hero.
  4. I agree but they are so good. I wish the new movies were more like the series. The cross over stuff from Clone Wars and so on is incredibly cool
  5. App State is legitimate. Michigan's administration were fools to schedule them thinking that was a cupcake given their prior performance. The better team won that game.
  6. Doesn't every legitimate program beat Michigan most of the time? At least since color television?
  7. Oklahoma played the usual opening role vs. Missouri State today. 48-0. Here we go.
  8. Starting limited repopulation. The current fire complex is 341k acres. That's a sea of fire. We are at 27% containment. 900+ homes destroyed, multiple fatalities. Parts of Vacaville burned, lots of community loss around Lake Berryessa. Really strong response from Cal Fire and local emergency folks. While concurrently responding to Covid in the Emergency Operations Center. Phew. 2020 is a brutal year.
  9. So many great episodes. I'm going with "Year of Hell"
  10. I'm good. Response not evacuee. It's my gig and honestly my privilege in public service. I love disaster response. But all at once? C'mon man. Seriously.
  11. Okay, so some of you may remember my 2017 work in the Napa Fire Complex. Coffee Park destroyed in Sonoma. Then in 2018 we had the Butte County fires that destroyed Paradise. Now we have us a global pandemic. And just to keep things interesting... Really 2020?! Seriously? Ugh. Here I go again.
  12. Holy cow. This is an absolutely amazing arrangement of this song. "Now I tell you openly, you have my heart so don't hurt me. You're what I couldn't find. Totally amazing mind, so understanding and so kind. You're everything to me" Wow. Recorded separately in their homes. My goodness.
  13. I think Pepper is a far better executive for Stark Enterprises as well. Tony is a nightmare from a business operations perspective, he clearly doesn't know what the heck he's doing. He's a gifted engineer, and scientist. Really accomplished as a superhero. Maybe he should stick to that though, his business acumen is otherwise pretty lacking in the movies.
  14. Forgive my conquest of your nation and subjugation of your people, I have a condition.
  15. They are exempt under the original State order as well, in California. You do not need to wear a mask if you have a medical condition which impairs your ability to breathe... what are you doing out in public though?!
  16. Meh. I have plenty of material from 2.5, 3.0, and Pathfinder 1.0 to last the rest of my life. They can do whatever makes them happy.
  17. This past week California initiated a Statewide masks as a requirement (not a recommendation). Numbers continue to rise, and still within margins for ER/ICU/respirator quantity for now.
  18. Not the County Sheriff jurisdiction, it's a municipality. It will be interesting to see what the County does given the decisions made at the city level. I haven't heard much about that, or the State level response. The City can absolutely disband their police, I don't know enough about Minnesota law enforcement regulation to know whether they in fact have jurisdictional authority to do the other things cited in the article. In California they would not. Behavioral Health services are County operated, not municipal, for example. 911 is regional jurisdiction and they'd effectively just be opting out for whatever was left. State police like CHP, County Sheriff, etc if they had the ability to respond. It's an interesting concept, hopefully they are executing it thoughtfully. Public safety is actually a thing in major metropolitan areas, simply turning off emergency response strikes me as extremely problematic. I'll be interested to see how this goes, and whether it's supported at the other levels of local government.
  19. The Best Buy at the mall 15 miles from me was broken into using construction equipment. There was gunfire and the looting expanded into surrounding neighborhoods. Police response predictably escalated. Then a helicopter went down and took out the power to 23k people for a day. Sigh. I'm glad I took this week off. This is looking like yet another set of bad choices. I am not sure what we're even supposed to do that's a winning strategy locally. Law Enforcement will enforce the laws, that's inevitable and actually appropriate. And the training is "overwhelming force" if needed and go home to your family at the end of the day. I understand that perspective as well. This isn't going to go well. I retreated to nature and am camping with my kiddo. I'll be back next week, but this isn't my issue for another 4 days. I can't even.
  20. Yeah, I really didn't like Man of Steel aside from a couple scenes... but thought Cavill was great. I'd welcome him back in the role.
  21. Shazam was pretty fantastic in my opinion. Otherwise pretty much totally agreed.
  22. I love this so much. If anyone has a problem with that, come at me bro.
