"The Might of Rome" Music from the Motion Picture GLADIATOR

Question about when DCV or OCV modifiers change, for example in this sequence "Turn 1: Phase 4
Had Abraxas successfully blocked last during his last phase, he would go first this phase. As he failed in his roll, he is forced to go second. Sebastian goes for anther hit, and having hit on his last phase, is no longer at -1 due to reach - he got inside the reach of the axe. Abraxas again aborts to Block, with the same values as last time."
Does Abraxas really need to abort to a block again when he was already blocking in his last phase, and is being attacked before he can act in this phase? It seems to me that the block maneuver from last phase would still be in effect until he can act in this phase?
Similarly, if a character did a haymaker or some other maneuver with a DCV penalty in his last phase, wouldn't that penalty still be in effect right up until he actually takes an action (including a zero phase action to reassign his levels) in his next phase?
In fact, if he holds his phase (delaying taking an actual action), wouldn't the penalty still apply until he actually uses at least half his phase to act?

1. Gangrel, you'll be happy to know that Perseus does, in fact, have a full character sheet. I've already written it up in the Greek and Roman Mythology chapter.
2. Megaplayboy, for raw text we definitely get more than 450 words per page, though of course character sheets, tables, and the like complicate the situation (as does a greater or lesser amount of art than usual). To take three recent examples, Champions Beyond gets approximately 613 words per page, The Book Of The Empress gets 628 words per page, and the MHI RPG gets about 715 words per page. Nevertheless, you're right that MH is likely to be one really big book. I'm already at over 250,000 words, and could easily have another 250,000 to go. Assuming it's a 500,000 word book and it gets 650 words per page average, that's still a 769 page book. The practical logistics of the situation may prevent me from making it one massive tome if I find a way to publish it, regardless of my own personal wishes.
Would you consider a PDF only release with a Print on Demand option?

I hope this goes commercially available soon! The perfect PDF game book library! http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/21/sony-13-inch-digital-paper-hands-on/
And now it's out, commercially! For...a little over $1,000.00 !!!

Roter Baron avoids drops of water (and thus showers) and lives a "bathing optional" lifestyle such that birds, cute animals and girls avoid HIM, except for the few days each year after his annual "polar bear" bath when he breaks the ice on a frozen lake and dives in for refreshment!

I was lucky enough to get in on the Kickstarter project, and got lots of goodies, particularly a number of PDF's with an adventure and monsters and NPC's and magic items; is there any schedule when these PDF's will be available in the online store, and other online stores?

Ah, well...again, if you read the novels and want to recreate the specific setting from them, MHI is a great buy even if you already have the Hero System core books (rules, equipment guide, bestiary, etc). I'd say it's over fifty percent setting specific content with all the flavor text and illustrations expanding on the setting of the novels and many characters fully statted out as NPC's, and you can save on the postage cost buying the PDF....
If you're looking for just an Urban Fantasy setting and intend to customize it heavily in any case, you might be better off building your own. That said, I am not aware of any other Urban Fantasy world setting commercially available and already statted out for Hero System.
Also, here's a more generic, free setting provided by a member of this forum that you might be able to use: http://www.killershrike.com/HereThereBeMonsters/HereThereBeMonsters.aspx

The section "Aerial and Upward Knockback" on page 116 of Vol 2 of 6th Edition seems to suggest that anyone flying who takes even a single meter of knockback will begin immediately falling until their next phase and then take a half phase to 'reorient' themselves. It further seems consigned to the fact that in combat, most flyers will hit the ground and lie there a bit before they get their next phase.
Really? This seems harsh as it is really easy to just do knockback to a flier, much more so than CON Stunning or knocking out a flier.
Or am I just reading too much into the text, and a flier just moves back the knockback inches and hovers until they can 'reorient'?

Doesn't "humanitarian" sound like it should be like a planetarium...for looking at humans?

Read the "I Am Number Four" series and actually found it a fun read and compelling! It is very much a YA read, and plot holes and other less than adult novel issues abound, but I didn't regret the time spent reading them and found the setting inspirational enough to wonder about setting a teen champions game in it.

Well...I like it! A lot! Got the hardback book, PDF, and Hero Designer Pack! Highly recommend them all! Of course, I loved the books too.

Captain America as portrayed in the "Ultimates" comic run.
And on the other end of the spectrum, Invincible from the comic of the same name.

I got the 6th edition core rules (Vol I & II), the 6th edition Hero System Equipment Guide, the 6th edition Bestiary and felt pretty set up to convert 5th edition stuff, and then in a real coup, I was able to pick up all three 6th edition Villains books for $20 through the Colorado Relief bundle (PDF's).
All my conversions are pretty much cake now. I'm 6th edition all the way, because I love all the changes (no figured characteristics, no COM, no Elemental Controls, etc), but, you know, that's just me...

"The Shambling Guide to New York City" by Mur LaffertyA fun urban fantasy, I enjoyed it a lot as a light hearted page turner in the tone of Xanth, Myth Adventures, or Lonely Werewolf Girl (though a bit more 'mature' content in the Incubus scenes).
