  1. Re: Breaking News! Actually this is evidence that Steve has been replaced by his evil counterpart; who hasn't got a name yet but doesn't like Dark Steve. Although, given that he has become more open, this may be Steve's good counterpart. Here to usher in a golden age of 6th Edition. And Lo, shall the rules be updated wherein there are no more arguments over whether STR is too cheap or Damage Shield too expensive. On second thoughts that would make the boards too boring so I will go back to the Evil Steve theory.
  2. Re: Players And the Strange things they do. Time to wheel out the opponent with Missile Reflection.
  3. Re: Your Costume is always Clean. For an alternative useless, silly power to keep your costume clean you could have a damage shield that only works against dirt stuck to you. To make it less useless you could have it affect anything stuck to you so is good against Entangles.
  4. Re: WWY(Other)CD: If you became a villain? Stockade/Nebula would likely follow the path of temptation. Given that the two were merged togther into one body and only one can appear at any one time their biggest goal is to reverse this (made harder by the fact that it was done to stop Nebula dying). At the moment they are new at superheroing and hopeful of a cure but in time could become desperate and open to temptation. For instance they may find out that required technology is only available if stolen or someone may offer a cure if a certain job is done. Then once on the slippery slope it becomes hard to get off. If their team mates became aware of this then I am sure they would be easily stopped.
  5. Re: The amazing Superblog! I've found the same thing. Internet Explorer shows a coloured background that lets you see the links. Oh, and very amusing; keep it up.
  6. Hi All I am looking for suggestions on building a power but first I should describe the character. I have recently started in a new Champions campaign the basis of which is that VIPER has experimented on us all with the result that we have gained superpowers. The first session involved escaping from VIPER and setting up our own superhero group. The character I designed consists of a brother and sister, not twins; he is a couple of years older. Due to the experiments he has gained density and powers associated with increasing density. She has lost density and gained powers connected with that. The loss of density was also lethal to the sister so they merged the two forms. They have taken the superhero names Stockade and Nebula. In game terms this is a Multiform with the Multiform Amnesia disadvantage so that neither knows what is happening when they are not present. This brings us to the power that the GM mentioned could be developed. As Nebula is the alternative form she is not present during planning discussions, briefings, etc. The GM suggested a power based on Images could be used to manifest Nebula so that she could communicate during such times. If anyone has any suggestions on how such a power could be built, or if anyone has already addressed this then I would be interested in hearing what you have to say. My initial thought is Images with a linked Mind Link but I do not know if that would be considered suitable. Whatever you come up with I can then discuss it with the GM.
  7. Re: who's missing from this team One for the British, especially in the southeast of England. The master of entangle, capable of keeping hundreds caught in place for hours at a time. Codename M25.
  8. Re: who's missing from this team How about Lady Rose the teams public relations person with contacts at different levels of society. Adept at persuading others to talk while entranced by her beauty. Do not be fooled by her beautiful looks, she has a few thorns to hurt you with. I could also suggest a scottish guy with a sword that can only die when his head is chopped off but I think that has been done already.
  9. Re: Best bit All the good points have been mentioned but I would just like to add the sheer pleasure in picking up and rolling a handfull for dice. Makes buying all those dice worth it:)
  10. Hi Steve The rules state that a character's non-persistent powers turn off at the end of the segment when stunned. They also state that a character can recover from stunned in the same segment if he has a phase still to occur. So I was wondering if the powers still turn off if the character has recovered before the end of the segment? On a related note, a character with reversion on their multiform changes back to their true form at the end of the segment he is stunned. Does this still happen if he has recovered from stunned in that same segment?
  11. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... It's our first session. Our characters, all previously normal people, wake to discover ourselves locked up with memories of having been experimented on and then forced to practice with powers that have been gained. We manage to escape our cells, make our way through the VIPER base (we soon discover), accidentally turn one of their scientists into Grond, keep out of his way while he goes rampaging through the base and then get out in all the confusion. Once out we discover Grond is still rampaging and the police are waiting for the army so we go in to take him down ourselves. This we do nice and efficiently then leave before we are asked to pay for the building Grond ended up flying into. Following this incident a government minister appears on TV regarding the incident and puts out a general request for super powered beings to come forward and become officially recognised superheroes; this being the UK that at the current time has only one. Not being entirely trusting we acquire a mobile from a guy in a pub and one of the characters makes the call while being driven around. He is talking to the minister who has just stated how impressed she was with the professional way we handled Grond when just at the moment there is a crash and a shout of 'Oh b*ll*cks' from the kitchen as one of the players has knocked over something. Five minutes later when everyone has pulled themselves back together again the GM rules that it is this player's character who was driving the car and he has just run into the back of someone. To make it worse it is his wife's car. The rest of the phone conversation took place on foot.
  12. Re: Name This Gun The Super Slooper. Slooper being a contraction of Slice and Glooper.
  13. Hi Steve A question regarding Stretching. The power states that a character can hit someone in hand to hand up to their stretching distance. Does this mean that there is no benefit from 1" of Stretching as adjacent hexes can be attacked anyway? Or is a character assumed to already have 1" of Stretching to begin with and their total Stretching is 1 plus however much they buy? Thanks in advance.
  14. Hi. The Darkness power states that flashes cannot penetrate the darkness. Does this mean that a person is immune even if he is in darkness for which he has personal immunity and can see out of?
  15. Hi I have a question regarding the Hand-To-Hand Attack powet that I can't seem to find an answer for. Can the extra damage it provides be used when using an object as a weapon? If this is so and it would not be appropriate for the special effect of the power is a limitation then in order? Thanks in advance.
  16. I have a question regarding Multiform and Transfer. I have a character with two forms via the Multiform power that has the Transfer power in one of the forms that boosts a characteristic. If the character switches forms while the characteristic is still boosted then does the increase carry over to the other form?
