  1. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Hmm... I have everything the same except the TL parameter which I don't have. I'll give that a try in a little bit. If that works, than I'm well on my way to finishing probably by the end of this weekend. The first PDF export template will be the bare bones Writer's Guideline from that I'll build the published version which means I'll be looking into creating columns in PDF. Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked that I'm actually going to be able to do this. And if I don't get rep for posting it, I don't have a clue as to what the criteria is.
  2. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Ok. Thanks for looking into it Mantis. I'll keep plugging away on my side. I have made a little more progress BTW. I am building unique lines of text now which means that the CR is working, but I'm not getting it to move down a line so the entire character is printing out on one line.
  3. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER No idea how he did the first trick, but the second sounds like it was a 'plant'. Those are hard to determine unless you can look at the coin when it is initialled and note how the face lines up with the initial, and compare with the retrieved version. They are usually different.
  4. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER The thing I'm fighting with right now is just getting a carriage return line feed to work. How would you have entered that in Postscript? I'm getting 3 different ways in PDF, and none of them seem to work.
  5. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER And one ring to rule them all...
  6. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER PDF is in fact, built off of post script. So, I would be happy to get your input.
  7. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER My gawd... the docs for the PDF specs have got to be some of the worst I've ever read. Explanations? What are those? Sheesh. This is not going to be easy. I'm currently getting output, but the formatting problem is that the entire text stream is being written on one line. Their carriage return line feed code doesn't work as stated in the specs, so now I'm banging my head against that. Oh, and here's a fun one... Guess where 0,0 is on the sheet? Bottom left corner. While I can appreciate that in some respects for others I'm floored. This is going to be quite challenging.
  8. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Ok, I have begun work on a PDF Export Template for HeroDesigner and I thought I would let all of you here be the first to know about it. It is currently working to a point. That point being that it is accepting the data from HD and producing a PDF. However, I'm running into some formatting issues with the PDF language itself. Let's just say it isn't very user friendly... Once I have worked out the first few kinks, I'll be posting it most likely to the HD forum. I'm diving back in. Wish me luck.
  9. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Now you just need to make the green hex spin in the opposite direction. J/k. I like it as I mentioned, and look forward to the new ones.
  10. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Stay with the first one.
  11. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I figured that would be the case. Thanks for the research.
  12. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Time Off I urgently needed a few days off work, but I knew the Boss would not allow me to take a leave. I thought that maybe if I acted "CRAZY" then he would tell me to take a few days off. So I hung upside down on the ceiling and made funny noises. My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was doing? I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the Boss would think I was "CRAZY" and give me a few days off. A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked, "What are you doing?" I told him I was a light bulb. He said, "You are clearly stressed out. Go home and recuperate for a couple of days". I jumped down and walked out of the office. When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, the Boss asked her "...And where do you think you're going?" She said, "I'm going home too, I can't work in the dark!"
  13. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER WOW!!! That is impressive.
  14. Re: Superhero Images Thank you. Do you have any others that you would like me to take a stab at?
  15. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Oh Archermoo and Doc, I finally did get to the site to check out the flash card. I'm betting next year they'll have a 10 gig and the 8 will drop in price so I may just have to hold out. That is a nice chunk of storage to be able to carry around.
  16. Re: Superhero Images Is this a better version of wht you were thinking?
  17. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I concur!! I've been trying to figure out a way to do something similar for a website header and this may be just the idea I was looking for. Thanks for the inspiration.
  18. Re: Superhero Images This is really rough, but I wanted to get your impression Werehawk, I was inspired by the 'organic' feel to Narwahl and wanted to see if I could do an organic coloring of what I think is the symbiot. What do you think? Feel free to tell me I got the colors all wrong and such, I am more looking for the 'effect' of the coloring. EDIT: Removed pic see below for the updated version.
  19. Re: Herophile Fantasy art I agree. Daz is a great place to get free stuff and a lot of inexpensive things as well. If you join the platinum club, you get huge discounts.
  20. Re: Herophile Fantasy art What is the guy holding in the background there? Is that a sword? I like the emotion that is represented. Very cool!
  21. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Weather reports from the Mississippi area say things are really harsh. I'm betting that has something to do with it. Thanks for the sympathy. I troubleshoot all day long at work, and it would be nice to not have to do it at home too.
  22. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I guess it will have to wait until tomorrow to check it out.
  23. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I'm hitting about 50% of sites.
