  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. So do you stick with multipy for all your layers and a less than 100% opacity for all your brushes unless it is a SFX?
  2. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.
  3. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. So if I understand what you are saying is that the underpainting creates a sort of "show through" color that appears on all layers as you do your PS work. Is that correct? Thanks for the info Storn. I'm always intrigued by how you do your work and what it involves.
  4. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.
  5. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Since I'm no where close to being an artist or understanding its intricacies, what is underpainting, and what does it do? Also, do you do the underpainting in PS as well?
  6. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER And "oppression".
  7. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. They must be like monocles. See how his forehead is scrunched up?
  8. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Exterminator?
  9. Re: Enemies of San Angelo Sorry, I was away for Christmas, but I noticed that Mark replied in the thread. Thanks again Dominique!
  10. Re: Superhero Images Finally had a chance to finish this up. You didn't mention the helmet so I made it the same as the ship.
  11. Re: Enemies of San Angelo Just bare in mind that artwork is one of the biggest expenses to making a book. So if folks are willing to pay more for pics than pics can be added, but there tends to be a break point of cost vs profit and that point usually reduces pics significantly.
  12. Re: Enemies of San Angelo Mark had to set new users to moderated first posts because we were getting spammed heavily for a bit. Hopefully, we'll get your post approved shortly.
  13. Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender Wow. This looks really intriguing. Thanks for the link. For those that might be interested, I'm going to start work on some campaign ideas and will post them somewhere once I have something worthy to contribute. If not in this thread, then I'll post a link to it here.
  14. Re: Enemies of San Angelo I can do the coloring myself as can Mark. We are both proficient at PhotoShop, but yes you are correct about money better spent elsewhere.
  15. Re: Enemies of San Angelo Oh no offense at all. I don't take offense to constructive criticism. I just wanted to point out that the material is more adaptable than some may think, and your comments, while I understand your direction, may have led those not in the know to think that the material was restrictive some how.
  16. Re: Enemies of San Angelo I agree. It is something that we have talked about.
  17. Re: Enemies of San Angelo Your points are definitely valid LL, as always. I would point out however that SA is actually a city capable of being more than a four-color city. There is the Cathedral district that really has that Daredevil / Dark Champions tone to it after all. Also, the Dragon's Gate could be plopped into any existing city, or be a one shot adventure area in some other city than the campaign city. Just to toss a few other ideas out there.
  18. Re: Enemies of San Angelo We do post things to our own forums from time to time. Your idea is certainly a good one. I'll have to consider doing something like this. Thanks, , and have some rep for the suggestion.
  19. Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender Weapons of the Gods? I'll have to look into it, but I'm not too keen on learning yet another system. Maybe I can find an online game of it somewhere and at least lurk to see how it works. Is it its own system, or does it use an existing one?
  20. Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender I agree. The background is incredibly rich. I prefer to use the Hero System, but I don't prefer to do all the conversions/writeups. That time issue is a really big problem in my life.
  21. Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender I'm really leaning toward using Exalted since it is already so close to what the show is. I might try doing a couple conversions to see how it looks in Hero system. I'll let you know.
  22. Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender Nothing huh? Well, I found a map so far.
  23. Re: Enemies of San Angelo Of course. We're always open to suggestions. We can't guarantee they will be included, but we're open to them, and have asked for them a few times on the GRG boards.
