Yes. And a lot of Champions villains are like that, I think. And it's how I do my homebrew villains. "Gee, it would be cool if a villain had Lex Luthor's personality but Professor X's powers..."

(Wait, did I do that because they're both bald? LOL)

Special Notes: The teams of this character and his crimes are not for all campaigns. He existence feels with sexual violence, slavery, planned insence and melodramatic murder. You have been warned.

Background: The Wicked family was always in the slave selling business. When the confederacy lost the Civil War, instead of totally shutting down their operation, they moved their auctions houses underground. And while only a small name in the slave selling business during the Civil War and before, with so little competition they flourished. Soon they expanded to other races, and to sexual slavery.

The latest in the long line of Wickeds is Regional Wicked and his sister Milinda. Over the years the Wicked family has pumped their blood money into an easy life as eccentric millionaires. His father Darius operated out of Hudson City. Eventually the Harbringer of Justice found out about the organization and outright murdered him. Regional and his baby sister escaped and was raised by loyal employees until he was old enough to assume control of his father's empire. Being a fan of both movie serials and melodrama theater, and having extremely dark taist, he first picked up his top hat and cape. Mister Wicked was now the local master of the slave underworld.

Personally: Wicked is a lecherous and murderous slimeball. He runs his criminal enterprise with charm, but let's face it, his empire is selling people, usually female, for whatever they want to use them for.

When he wishes to kill someone, it must be a big deathtrap. No simple shooting or stabbing. The deathtrap usually resembles something out of a movie serial. The person tied to train tracks. The person tied to a log headed to a lumber saw. And other evil ways to kill someone who is helpless in a way which promotes maximum fear in the victim while they are still alive.

In his public identity, he is considered an eccentric millionaire, holding southern costume balls and giving donations to charity. He also seems to be an excellent brother to his sister Milinda.  Secretly he plans on forcing her to bare his children when she gets old enough. Meanwhile, in order to keep his empire a secret from her, he allowed her to attend public high school. But still demanded that she continued to wear her victorian dress.

His mostly male henchmen are treated quite well. The few female henchmen have somehow earned his trust, but are not treated as well as 'his men'.

Quote: "I'll leave your manor of demise up to you, my dear. You can be cut in twine by the lumber saw, crushed under my steam locomotive, or prehaps electrocuted at the stroke of midnight. But before you choose, I must molest..." (generally at this time he is usually interrupted by a henchman reporting about invaders and such).

Powers: Wicked is skilled in the martial art of Savate. He also carries his gimmick Gentleman's Cane, a Victorian looking but rather hi-tech piece of weapon development on demand from ARGENT. He sometimes also commissions other pieces of equipment or weapons of a rather Victorian nature. His 'costume' is specially treated to stand up in combat, but does not fully cover his body. The wrists and head are uncovered, and since by nature this costume is ment to look more like clothes than superhero skin tights, attacks might find an opening between the folds. He has been trained at using his cape to deflect missiles, but he has to be able to sense the attack before he can react.

His most lethal attack is not on his character sheat. It is his base of operations and his horde of normal human henchmen and during auction time the people who bid on his merchandise may be superpowered on their own.

Tactically he likes to go on the defensive until he sees an opening then strikes. He strikes to make his opponent unconscious or restrained. Females are held until he desides if they are merchandise or to be melodramatically murdered in a deathtrap. Men are the same, except they are more likely to be put into a deathtrap than not.

Description: Wicked normally looks the part of a Victorian gentleman, with slick back black hair, well oiled handlebar facial hair and goatee. His "Mister Wicked" outfit is a victorian gentleman outfit in black and red, making him look like he stepped out of a melodrama play. The only real difference between the two outfits is his mask, and his normal clothing doesn't have the ARGENT bells and whistles. He always has a southern accent, but it is only bairly noticable as Reginald Wicked eccentric millionaire, and fully stressed as Mister Wicked, seller of people.

Okay, it's a couple days early, but we can get started at the new wiki:

    RULES

    1. We ask that anyone editing the wiki please sign up at herogames.com/forums and use the same username as you are using at herogames.com (your work will likely be deleted if you don't follow this). People who are already members at herogames.com, please use the same username. Our copyright blurb depends upon the fact that you are using the same username here as there. So there.

    3. We're using the DC Animated-style HeroMachine for our default character design style. This is a non-commercial use, so we're fine.
    4. The write-ups should be in 6e as the default, but there should be tabs for other conversions, as demonstrated by the Tarrasque entry in the Forgotten Realms wiki (which is hosted at the same site)
    5. Have fun. Don't be afraid to get started. I can't imagine anyone deleting anything anyone else has done....just try to build on what already exists. Whoever gets in there earliest gets to set the direction of it, so be the first and go nuts!

I agree. Saw off D6es here and there. Prehaps even remove all killing attacks, as his Psychological Complication is MELODRAMATIC Murderer, meaning if he is going to kill someone, he has to go big or go home. Which was completely in character for him. Why simply stab or shoot someone when you can rig a canon to shoot someone point blank at midnight, while the victim is quite aware of their fate and tries to escape it.

I'll go back and say what I would remove.

That is perfectly ok. Your entitled to your own opinion. And your free to not put him in the wiki.

Your also free to extremely modify him to suit your own views. Yes he is deadly. But with modifications he can be even less so. Tone down the sword cane. Tone down his savate martial arts. Mod him till he fits in an average superhero universe.

When I created him, I had no idea what an average superhero should be, cause I was never in a 6ed campaign.

Anyone is free to slam him with a campaign hammer to him. Just give me credit as 'original idea'.

I completely disagree with this sort of supervillain build. It sets a VERY bad example for GMs and can easily instantly sour a player's desire to continue with your game. This is for MANY reasons, but I'll focus here just on the first that instantly leapt out at me.

You have here a character that can AND WILL kill player characters with one hit! I've seen GMs have to fudge their game to avoid killing characters with 5d6 killing attacks and here you have one with a 6 1/2d6 killing attack!  The normal attack too of 21d6 is again utterly out of whack. At least it's not area effect mind you, I'll give you that (yes, I've seen at least one GM deploy a massive, obliterate with one shot, area attack before and steadfastly be adamant this was not a problem).  I promptly dropped that game. Players have to be able to trust their GM to participate in their collaborative storytelling adventure. You are NOT "the enemy", you are NOT "trying to kill them". If the players think otherwise, you have a serious problem.

Supervillains should have powerful attack, yes, but not attacks that will one shot obliterate reasonably constructed characters. Their fearsomeness can come from high but not impossibly high defenses combined with damage reduction, along with a breadth of powers, resources and henchmen.

I like the CU. I played in it A LOT.

I'd keep EVERYTHING. I'd keep the history the same. I'd incorporate old storylines that have been overwritten by newer incarnations, and try to unify them all into a coherent timeline. For example, The Guardians existed in the Eighties. VIPER went through all of its incarnations, and now is something that is a bit of all of them. Doctor Destroyer and Professor Muerte did their thing in the Eighties....now it's a new incarnation, perhaps the female clone that was talked about earlier, but maybe Dr. D's brain patterns still exist to advise his clone...something like that.

    IT ALL COUNTS.

The superteam, Champions, that has Seeker in it, they existed, but in the Nineties/early 2000's. Etc. They now have mostly a new roster.

But the emphasis would be on CONTINUITY, not on RE-IMAGINING. My whole philosophy would not be to pick and choose what happened and what didn't, it would be, "How can I work this so all of this happened and it all fits together?"

My personal peccadillo would be to change one thing: all of it happens in real cities, not in fictional cities. That being said, I don't mind the idea that Detroit was renamed Millennium City...I could be persuaded.

PS: If we couldn't get the rights to a certain character, we'd ask if he could at least be mentioned for posterity. Whose heart is so cold as to deny us that?
