  1. The reconstructed 1967 version of Days of Future Passed by the Moody Blues. It was discovered in 1972 that master tape of the original mix was damaged, and the album was remixed in stereo, and it was only this remixed version that was available on CD until the 50th anniversary edition release. That release included a reconstructed version of the 1967 mix.
  2. By Musk's own estimation, he had reduced T(w)itter's valuation to $20 Billion, or less than half of what he paid for it around six months ago.
  3. Mom used to make these with a good dark beer or stout. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/87685/beer-pancakes/
  4. I'm not the one to ask. I have a poster on Goose hanging in my media room.
  5. They were given extra lessons about the Mass in CCD classes?
  6. Revenge of the Nerds: It's been several decades since I've watched this, and certain parts of the story are cringeworthy nowadays. That's a problem with many comedies from the same time period, though. It's a nostalgia watch, but not one I'll need to revisit again. (Hulu) Shrek: A re-watch of the first movie in the series. It holds up pretty well, and some of the in-jokes about Michael Eisner and Disney particularly resonate. (Blu-ray) Kung Fu Panda: Jack Black voices Po, a panda who dreams of joining a group of elite kung fu masters. The story's solid, and the animation is good. (Blu-ray)
  7. Seems appropriate considering Hippopotamus = river horse.
  8. It does seem to have registered a trademark for it, however.
  9. I wouldn't have thought to do that on mine, though I have considered a rally stripe and Toyota Racing decals.
  10. Best Buy ended up replacing my Xbox Series X with a current set, which included a deluxe version of Forza 5. They also didn't want the controller back from the first one, which means that I've got a spare. I had a problem with a rewards code from a recent movie purchase, and after contacting customer support, they've added a bunch of extra points, enough for two free digital movies. Their apology for taking so long also included that they had about 2000 people ahead of me with the same issue. I had bought some soundtrack CDs from a music label's online store, and one of the discs was the wrong one (a season 1 soundtrack instead of the ordered season 2 soundtrack). I had sent the disc back, and received another copy of the wrong one. That one didn't need to be sent back, and i've now received the correct disc. My car's averaging around 51 MPG on the current tank of gas. Our temperatures are a bit cooler than usual for this time of year, and that means I don't have to run the air conditioner right now.
  11. Looks like a promo picture for a 70s rock band. I'd imagine that the cover art would look fantastic.
  12. I've been on a bit of a nostalgia kick recently, and started watching The Fall Guy on Amazon Prime. I'm a few episodes in to the first season. I also started watching the first three episodes of the original Magnum, P.I. on Prime by way of Freevee, which is ad-supported. Watching the first half of the pilot, there was a 7 second ad for Freevee before the show, and then a 12 second ad for Freevee at the first break, followed by a couple of 30 second breaks later in the show. Second half of the pilot started with a 12 second ad for Freevee, and then the next few breaks slowly increased from 30 seconds to 60 seconds. Watching the third episode today, there was a 60 second ad before the show, and each break was at least 90 seconds (last one was over two minutes). After I finished the third episode, I went on Amazon to purchase the DVDs of the complete series. I had also recently watched Sorry, Wrong Number, a film noir piece where Barbara Stanwick plays an invalid who is home alone. While trying to reach her husband by phone, she accidentally overhears through crossed lines two people conspiring to murder someone later that night.
  13. R.M. Palmer is the company that makes a bunch of those waxy "chocolate" bunnies that make their way into lots of Easter baskets around this time of year.
  14. Shopping at Zia Records after work, I found a used copy of a 2012 Intrada release of the North by Northwest remastered score, which was conducted by the composer, Bernard Herrmann. It was $12.99 used, which is about $75 less than what Amazon has it on offer for.
  15. Apparently, she was a co-producer on Iron Man I and II, Thor, and the first Captain America. She was executive producer on every other Marvel movie, and other sources don't seem to think she was fired. I am on my phone right now, or I would provide links.
