    Yes. that does. I wound up finally going to sleep at 8:30 am, but I'm feeling rested.

    Wildfire is my all time favorite hero. I am currently playing a champions version of him' date=' though I only had 300 points so he's toned down considerably. I attached the HDC files, let me know what you think.[/quote']

    I just glanced, but nothing lept at my eyes to try to claw them out. ;) There were a couple things that send up warning signals, but in the context of the character conception are fine. (Buying down characteristics and then buying them thru a focus & Desolid AO)

     

    Not much in the skill dept, but if you're having fun, looks good.

    Since July. Found some more cash so streched out a bit more time. So far, I've got more leads outside of the Portland area than in it. That's not going to be good.

    A day that was good and furstrating.

     

    The good part: I had contacted someone who advertised that they bought Magic Cards last week and left a message. Today I heard from them. I wound up meeting them and selling all my cards. I also got the check today from selling some stock that had finally gotten above water again.

    So looks like I have a little extra breathing room.

     

    The frustrating part: Got a call from a recruiter. There's a job in Vancouver, WA. that needs some Senior QA starting Monday. Can I go interview tomorrow? She mentions the rate, sounds like $40/hr. That's doable, but it didn't sound like $40. I ask her to say it again. Ah, my brain just didn't want to be that insulted. $14! WTF! Several rude comments about this job cross my mind, but then I put the control back and just comment "That seems awfully low especially considering the requirments you listed." She tells me she's been hearing that alot and mentions she was yelled at. (big surprise...) We talk a bit longer.

    I decide I want to go to this interview. It's a bit of practice and I could use the airing out. I also have the ulterior motive of just seeing what the heck HP is smoking. So I give her my email so she can send the directions and I can send my resume' back. I don't get an email from her. I check the filters and nope. Drat.

    Unemployment: Day One

     

    Well, here I am - home alone trying to keep myself busy, trying to not to just go back to sleep, and trying not to think about how badly having no job sucks. Yesterday, I sent my updated resume to seven recruiters I know and re-activated my Monster.com profile. This morning, I found e-mail with job matches in my e-mail. As expected, most of them are either way beyond my experience, require Top Secret security clearance with a lifestyle polygraph (gotta love living in DC!) or both. I applied for the one out of 20 I actually qualify for.

     

    Let the good times roll... ::sigh::

    Well, my favorite find so far is the job wanting someone with a PHD but paying $12-14.

     

    Though in one month, I might as well go for the low paying jobs since unemployment will run out then.

    It's hilarious how petty some people get. The previous editor had only changed the order in which games were listed in an earlier paragraph so that GURPS came before Hero.

    Is it possible that they were just alphabetizing?
