Most of our heroic sacrifices happened in fantasy games. Not that there wasn't a lot of death happening in the Champions games, it was more "oops! I just rolled 30 body on a 5d6 RKA..." One game run by Bob Handley was a Viking game. We were somewhat atypical vikings in that we didn't do nearly that much pillaging a raping. However as time went on and we got tougher and tougher, we would we at a point where we could make a heroic stand and go to Valhalla. Well, none of the party was going to stand for that so we generally didn't do any sacrificing. And if it was a mission for the Jarl that was fraught with danger, we'd often wind up in a fist fight on who got to go. Then we all had a chance to stop a group of giants from bringing world destruction. We stopped their spell, but we all died. The GM, just had us doing our adventures in Valhalla after that.

i think my most embarassing moment was when my scientist/martial artist fell off a building I forget how high, but she had a phase before landing. So she goes splat, not very hurt, but a friend's PC comes up and asks "Hey Ice Pirate. Didn't you just install boot jets into that suit?"

Actually, if he runs all three combats at the same time, it's not so bad.

I posted these in the personality thread, and just cross-linked. Andromeda is an energy wielder who's original orgin was based on another PCs way of getting radiation accidents. He was playing a Hercules clone that had been depowered by Zues to learn humilty and would occasionally get some of his power back delivered via lightning bolt. So what happens if Zues rolls an 18 and hits someone else? Calico was originally a supervillian in one of my old campaigns and when another campaign was started I was lacking in ideas for a PC, so I thought, "What if a agency created a superhuman and had it infiltrate a villian agency?" So she had worked undercover for several years feeding back info and since the villian agency was destroyed, she got reassigned as liason to a hero group. Her martial arts consisted of manuevers such as Pounce, Bat, Fling, Yow! and Squirm. Pictures by the late Sam Bell.

Genocide survives in one form in my campaigns. It all goes back when I first started GMing Champions and half the PCs had Genocide as a hunted. And whenever a Minuteman would take a bunch of damage, it would lose a part. For some unknown reason, I always rolled "Left Arm". After awhile, I didn't bother rolling. This was found to be a problem with all robots.

Instead of Primus, I have an alternative SWORD (stolen from Sam Bell) which is a rather sever organization. Their logo is similar to the Mirror Universe Federation Symbol. (A sword through the Earth). Special Weapons Ordance Research and Development. A little silly, since it had all these ex-Nazi scientists involved. "Bring out the women & children dummies for weapon testing!" I'm doing a bit different theme on it right now, but I'll wait until my players find out before posting what's going on. (Let's just say I've read too much Illuminati and Lovecraft. Probably played too much Paranoia as well)

I'm too sleepy and lazy to look up right now, but there are some web sites that have lists of disadvantages. Thought I don't think it would get you to the level of one person I knew who could come up with 400 points of disadvantages.

Slightly different. This should work on Win32 systems, sorts the output, and doesn't repeat itself. Next up, the random name maker. Though that will be after I finish my current contract.

Ebay. Though I didn't see one up at this time. Should cost you less than $20 for a still shrink-wrapped version. It's not that great of a module, but somewhat entertaining.

Does this mean the "Date Last Updated" Field is going to get updated. There's a few places where it isn't all over the free stuff area as well. (I know, nag nag nag)

Sam Bell and I once did a massive retcon on the shared Universe we had. We wound up retconning some teams back a few years and this timeline was a result. It wasn't kept up (my fault) after that last entry in '88.

Blade II had some problems. I was in a pretty good frame of mind for seeing it so I was able to look past them. I think there were two serious logic problems, but it's certainly worth renting. (But I should warn you, I rented The Punisher as well...) I really wanted the one actor who had played Cat on Red Dwarf to do something like "This is mine, and this is mine..." or "I'm going to get you little fishy" oh well.

Re: Shrinking Brick Names Both Micron and The Mighty Flea!!! are villians in my universe. Micron is waiting for his turn, but the Flea is already in prison. He has Strength and lots of Superleap.

I'd use a rutabega myself. I think the GM needs to have a talk with the player. If it's making the game unfun for everyone else, then something should be done.

It really depends on how you're going to be running it. I wouldn't have them paying character points for any of their equipment which would include the veritech.

Very cool about the differences between 4th & 5th. Now I can stop procrastinating about making my own.
