Assuming you are a speedster anyway, it seems like putting normal Running in an MP with a Megascale running, 1 KM = 10,000 km, would make this a cheap flavour trick.

    30 Reserve

    3 u 8 m Running, Megascale 10,000 km (+2), 0 END 28 AP

    3 u +24m Running, 1/2 END 30 AP

Or make that first slot Teleport, Safe Blind, must cross intervening space, if desired.

I know it's not that important, but why do you need to be able to circle the globe twice to get anywhere on the planet? If the only concern is enough, just apply a naked modifier to the standard running:

MegaScale (1m = 10,000 km; +2) for up to 12 Active Points of Running (24 Active Points).

Now you can run completely around the earth three times in each phase. Maybe if you go in the right direction you can turn back time (sorry, Cher, it only works if you can run).

  2. Your advantages are a little off, Earth is about 12,000 km in diameter, so that's the farthest you would need to go teleporting:

     Teleportation 12m, MegaScale (1m = 1,000 km; +1 3/4) (33 Active Points) (Real Cost: 33)

and the circumference is about 40,000 km so that's all the running you would need

    40m Running, (1m=1000 km; +1 3/4) .

  3. Seems to me it's a failure to understand the implications of time travel. The Thanos that Tony snapped out of existence was Thanos of years ago BEFORE that Thanos snapped half the universe from existence, so when Tony erased that Thanos there was no longer a gauntlet-wearing finger-snapping Thanos to worry about, which meant the heroes didn't go off to fight Thanos in the past, and Thanos didn't rip the gem from Vision's forehead, and so on and so on.

Or should we assume that Tony just sent them all home after wiping their memories, meaning Starlord took a knee to the... vitals... for nothing.

  4. Technically, you don't need to install Hero Designer to the hard drive. Since it's java you can just place it on a jump drive, then create scripts (or command files for those operating systems that think highly of themselves) so that it will function on whichever machine  you happen to get to use.

I normally use a version of the following scripts (after some attribute tweaking) on my machines:

    linux or MAC

    • cd /
    • cd ../../media/<user>/<drive>/<program location>
    • java -jar <executable file>

don't make me explain this, it's too painful, but for those other guys you have to leave the command file on the jump drive and double-click on it

    • setlocal
    • @echo off
    • rem drive letter environment variable
    • @echo %~d0 > drive.txt
    • @echo from %~d0 >> lastused.txt
    • for /f "delims=:" %%d in (drive.txt) do @set drvltr=%%d
    • cd %drvltr%:\<program location>
    • java -jar <executable jar file>

  9. Assuming the Primus program was exposed does not mean it would be terminated. Government organizations get bad press. Whether they are terminated depends on the necessity of their primary function. The primary function of Primus was to process federal crime involving paranormals, that certainly seems necessary. Primus wouldn't stop doing their job, they would just try to do it without calling attention to themselves.
All relevant Primus personnel were given the option to cease Cyberline treatments and be re-assigned; those that did found themselves serving in the Secret Service, the FBI, or even returning to their interrupted military career. Those that didn't take the option continued to utilize the Cyberline process, but with a greatly dialed back intensity and the resultant dialed back results.
The Silver and Gold Avengers vanished, money was spent on upgrading weapons and armor (including powered armor), and the fight went on. The whole thing might have dwindled and finally vanished, if it weren't for the kids. As the various members of Primus aged and began families, the resultant 'bring your kid to work' days had an unexpected benefit. You could question the parenting skills of the Silver Avenger that first exposed his six year old to the Cyberline process, but the results couldn't be denied.
Even the much diluted Cyberline process still in use had phenomenal results when applied to children, so Primus went looking for volunteers. Dropping the metallic code, these new recruits began training as soon as possible. The youngest was six, the average age was nine. Most of them were children of Primus personnel, with a few exceptional children hand-picked by the director. So Primus continues to do it's job.

That's Primus 2020, and I think there would be enough drama within and without to do the legacy proud.

  10. You could continue to define the staff as a focus, just make it inaccessible so opponents can't grab it (because you can call it back to you with a teleport). Then the powers would go away if the staff did.

Or you could leave the staff as a special effect and create a susceptibility to having the staff removed or destroyed that, instead of damage, drains the staff-based powers away.

Or maybe the staff could be the object of an addiction that forces the powers to have an activation roll when it's removed.

  11. So the staff is a special effect for attack damage (with or without range) and teleporting, plus the attack damage uses a broad version of indirect?

I find when converting VnV characters it's best to ignore the specific powers and use the VnV write-up for the FX alone, although I will confess to reverse calculating STR based on Carrying Capacity.

  12. Ran into an interesting combination lately, wizardly sort  became invisible to sight, smell/taste, and active sonar. Hovers 20m over the conflict and uses a change environment to create a small tornado. Change environment lowered PER rolls and increased the wind speed to exacerbate this. Even when he used a power, the PER roll was, at best, at -8. Used attacks with indirect to make it more difficult to spot where he would be, and when someone did locate him all projectile based ranged attack forms were at -10.

Unfortunately, the wizard was a lousy shot and because the range modifier was based on the distance from the wizard to the attack's source combined with the distance of the attack's path to target, he ALWAYS missed.
