  1. I used to have the same problem, so now I order all my gaming supplies from online retailers. I suggest you take a look at http://www.FRPgames.com . They have everything within a few days of release, and you will usually have it a week or so after you order it (they ship media mail, but you can upgrade the shipping if you wish).
  2. In the Rules FAQ it states you can Summon a Base. Just buy the spell as a Summon: 30 point base with all the required Limitations. Problem solved.
  3. Well start by chopping of 2 points of Speed (too much for a 15 DEX character) and 40 points of STUN (way too much for a starting-level character). I would chop 50 points off the END Reserve and 5 points off the ER Recovery. I would make the Flight full END or half, not zero. I would probably lower the Multipower to 50 points and then adjust each of the slots. That right there would save you around 75 points.
  4. I would have probably of ruled it as a -6 OCV, x4 STUN, x1.5 BODY. That is the averge between a head location and the shoulder location.
  5. No, the changing-back is part of the original Multiform power.
  6. I seldom play d20 games (mostly because I do not care for the fantasy genre), but a do think a B5 line of source material is a real boon for all of us. I am more than willing to file off the Wisdom stats and make use of the books as source material.
  7. That is great news! I know 5 players who are desperately waiting to get their grubby little hands on their own personal copies.
  8. Any power which costs END is visible to 3 senses. Armor, on the other hand, is invisible and can take the Visible Limitation.
  9. I just read that Mongoose Publishing has picked up the license for B5. They will have their first book out in May or so. It will be d20, but that is not too hard to convert to Hero. Could be some really useful stuff in there that we have all forgotten.
  10. Here you go: http://pub59.ezboard.com/fguardiansoforder44269frm4.showMessageRange?topicID=271.topic&start=1&stop=20
  11. Well, if you are a member of the playtest group, you go to Digital Hero, enter your Username and Password, and download it like you always have. If you are not a member of the playtest group you buy a year's subscription to Digital Hero and you will get access to that download page. If you are having another problem, let us know. Maybe someone here can help you.
  12. The statements made by Darrin Kelley and this tekkaman person are on the GoO boards under a thread about a con in Houston. Tekkaman also made the same claims on the Showdown boards during last month's competition.
  13. That is just an internal software issue with HD to signify that it does not show up under Characteristics on the character sheet.
  14. Looks pretty good MisterVimes. Consider it stolen.
  15. I like Dr. Destroyer quite a bit, but I do not actually use him as a "fighting" villain in my games. In my game if Dr. Destroyer has to do it himself then he has already failed. In my world you will encounter Destroyer-bots (robots which look like Dr. Destroyer which are sent by him to do certain tasks), one of his superpowered henchmen (Gigaton or Rakshasa), a mercenary supervillain (who might or might not know he is working for Dr. Destroyer), or some of his operatives (field agents, Black Talons, Destroids, etc). I currently have a couple of sub-plots dealing with a multifaceted Dr. Destroyer plan. My players think these events were nothing more than random crimes. They have not started to put it all together yet. I also have two sub-plots dealing with Dr. Destroyer hunting down both Menton and Teleios that will eventually spill over into the player's laps.
  16. I think Dan Simon was doing something with Stargate Hero. You might want to check out the Hero Central site.
  17. An interesting spin might be to buy the recovery as a 1 turn charge, so that the person who takes the drug will get to use it 3-5 times before it wears off and causes damage to him. Vitapill: +20 REC, 1 continuing charge for a Turn:-11/4, Major Side Effect as above: -1/4, OIF Pill: -1/2. Total Cost 13 points. The character takes the pill and for 1 turn gets major recoveries. After that he takes a 40 point Major Side Effect (BODY Drain, INT Drain, whatever).
  18. I would just buy it as: Vitalife: +20 STUN, +20 END, 1 continuing charge lasting 5 minutes: -3/4, Major Side Effect when charge runs out: -1/4, OIF Vitalife Pill: -1/2. Total Cost: 12 points. I only use Aid when someone can grant a characteristic to someone else (Vitalife Man charges up the thugs with a touch). If the character can grant himself the characteristics then to me it is just a limited characteristic. I would only go with Recovery on a charge if the person taking the drug can only recover back to his normal levels. If the character gets a boost beyond his normal 20 STUN/20 END, then I would go with the above.
  19. If you just want the agents to have some augmented stats when they are given something, then I would buy the stats as Characteristic/Powers and give them a Continuing Charge limitation. Caveman Colonic: +10 STR, +5 DEX, +5 CON, +5 STUN (40 AP) 1 Continuing Charge lasting 1 hour: -1/4, Major Side Effect (always occurs when charge runs out): -1/4, IIF (colonic bag): -1/4. Total Cost 23 points.
  20. I assume you are allowing that character to attack normals while desolid without paying the +2 Affects Real World advantage then.
  21. I don't let any "normal" go over 30 either. Once and awhile I will let a speedster bump a little higher, but for the most part 30 is my cap. I am basically just trying to follow the guidelines in Champions Universe as much as possible.
  22. Re: Sorry Your OCV doing a 70" Move-through (including levels and base) would be 4. That is 10 base +8 levels -14 for Move-Through. Dr. Destroyer would have a 14 DCV against that Move-Through. You would hit him if you rolled a 3. And Dr. D's primary attack will do 105 STUN on average. His secondary attack (which he shoots at the same time) will do 70 STUN on average. Your 61 PD and Damage Reduction means you take 33 STUN from the primary attack and 7 STUN from the secondary attack. If your CON is more than 33 you are ok. If it is less, you are Stunned. Either way you take 40 STUN per hit.
  23. See, I disagree. IMO, the second version shows a man who has trained himself beyond the limits of normal humanity to be a fighting machine. He is not limited by a particular style or skill. He has honed himself to be the physical master of them all. If a character is born to have a 30 DEX he is most likely a mutant. If an accident gives him a 30 DEX is most likely and altered human. If he trains himself to have a 30 DEX he is the master of his domain.
  24. No problem. I understood. The reason for buying higher DEX scores over Levels and Lightning Reflexes come down to nothing but simpler math. For example: Batman: 24 DEX, 6 SPD, +6 Lightning Reflexes (all), +5 Combat Levels. Total cost: 107 points. Maximum OCV: 13 Maximum DCV: 13 Average CV: 11/10 Batman: 30 DEX, 6 SPD, +3 Combat Levels. Total Cost: Total Cost: 104 points. Maximum OCV: 13 Maximum DCV: 13 Average CV: 12/11 The second version of Batman is just as CV versatile but has a better average CV, meaning he will get hit less and hit others more often. All of this for 3 less character points. The second Batman could even buy 2 less Combat Levels and still have the same Average CV as the first one; but would then have saved the character 19 points. As long as the characteristic maximum DEX for normal humans is 30, it is better for them in the long run to buy up the DEX than to spend the points on the Levels and Lightning Reflexes.
