  1. I admire your enthusiasm Still, any one in particular you'd like to see expanded first? And if so, in what format?
  2. While, as far as I know, Hero doesn't do "race books" or such ("The complete guide to the Malvan" ), it does seem quite a few species in the Terran Empire that already exist could use some fleshing out. A few because they're so fascinating, and a few, well, because they seem rather 'so so' with what little we have on them. Do you think Hero/DoJ should try to flesh some of them out more? If so, which ones? And how (entire books, DH articles, etc?)?
  3. Re: Name That Villain Promethian "I will bring humanity a new fire, so they might forge their destiny, and themselves." Oh, if you use that... forget the kitty, pet a dog instead.
  4. Heh, I liked that one. Though it was weird how many folks DIDN'T translate to Egyptian.
  5. Blub blub blub Unfortunately, the only concept with "Space Whales" I could come up with (that I liked) ended up being too close to the Az'Arc'a.
  6. While it looks like they're going to have ARGENT fill this niche, Teleios could also be the veritable "Devil" that heroes might be tempted to deal with even though they KNOW it's a bad idea. "Tired of being ugly? I can cure you... for a price." "Wouldn't you like to have control over your powers?" "Of course your wife is dead... but I can give her back to you; I'll need a few things."
  7. Q: So, this is the Phi Beta Zombie mixer, what's for munchies? A: It sucks so hard, it's created a temporal rift.
  8. Lemming: Working on it, my psychological limitations alone will be a great start. Enforcer and Aylwin: Thanks. That flow you spoke of, Aylwyn, is one of the things that impressed me about the product. Bartman: Yes, especially if he reads these boards
  9. Sorry guys, I didn't mean to imply that Coolness, Sex appeal, and trust was based entirely, or even major league on archetypes; just that archetypes were simple ways to break it down, and therefore easy to try (however inaccuately). Naturally, we could scrap the archetypes all together and talk about what makes those qualities shine most, but that's almost too OPEN a field
  10. Hmm well, without an origin or back story it is hard to tell whether I'd 'like him" or not, but it seems decent. I have to agree that given the 11 EGO, and 10 PRE; the poor guy will have a rough time against his first villain presence attacks. Fortunately, Presence is fairly cheap, so nothing either a little finagling with points or saving of exp on adventures can't cure. I notice the 10 points for your secret ID, does he have an easier time hiding his, or does he care about it less ?
  11. Yeah, stabbed in the back by my own kind... uhm.. wait.. No fear, I've gotten good at taking negative experiences and feeding my social anxiety disorder with them, until my belly is one tense ball of seething bitterness against humanity. Hmmm, I wonder if Dr. Destroyer got his start this way?
  12. RE: Mentalla Clearly, her resistant defenses aren't in her costume
  13. *Sighs* Apparently the only response I've gotten on RPG net was some guy handled "Xero" telling me "This isn't a review" . No more, no less. Gee, thanks guy, that was helpful. I suppose he could be fussing how I haven't even played it yet, but considering the speed at which some products are reviewed on RPG net, if that's a "requirement" it's not well enforced.
  14. No, sadly my gaming group's plans have been dashed this weekend by guests.
  15. Sounds good to me. There are some other ideas on the plot seeds in Free Stuff btw, if you're interested.
  16. Q: So Blanche was whining about the car not working when the ox cart came by eh? What did you do? A: Libel and Slander abound!
  17. Got to second that, though I might disagree on a few of them, it was well done.
  18. Q: So, why did Von D-man eject you out of the airlock anyways? A: it appears to be some sort of implosive explosive incendery device that once activated, can not be stopped!
  19. Q: So, how do they play it in the Yukon? A: He has Von D-man's guile, and Zornwil's reptilian cunning combined under a seemingly simplistic facade.
  20. My Psychological limitation: Gullible and easily lured (Common, Moderate) Back on the mystic subject, CA, nice link to the gems. Heck, makes me tempted to make a mystic theme team named after each stone. Either that, or reading Amethyst: Princess of Gem World back in the 80's scarred me for life.
  21. Okay then Sorry for my misunderstanding. Yeah, perhaps Fate and Strange get a bit TOO emulated in wardrobe. However,it's tradition, and I'm big on tradition. Which is why I prefer female mystics wear fishnets or high boots *EG*
  22. Yes, this is inspired by another thread about mystics and mentalists I'm going with the 'official' archetypes, because most of us at least know what we mean by that, and its a common ground. However, in case you need a refersher... Brick Energy Projector Gadgeteer Martial Artist Mentalist Metamorph Mystic Patriot Powered Armor Speedster Weapon Master So, very generally speaking: which archetype has the best 1) Coolness factor? 2) Sex appeal? 3) Trust ? (Understated, but let's face it, an important side effect in how you fight crime is how you're trusted by the public)
  23. Hey, if that's a dig at Doctor S, I got one thing to say...Don't dis the cape. That Cape is so cool, that Spawn stole it. That cape is a mystic's best friend, not nearly as pushy as some helmets I could mention , nor primadonna as certain amulets.
  24. Do you have a problem with telepathic pcs? No.
