  1. Re: Is the Fantasy Hero book still in print? I don't know how badly you want it but there is a copy at a store in Shreveport LA called Excalibur Comics, Cards and Games. I was there last week and he had a copy on his shelf. I am sure you could Google it and get the Phone number and see if he would be willing to ship...
  2. Re: The Hero Forum's Hottest Woman in Comics. I definetly have to go with the White Queen, Emma Frost.... I would just be afraid she is frigid

  4. Re: WWYCD: the times of peace are upon us Scarab: Keep on rocking and work on endorsement deals.
  5. Re: Your occupation, please. My favorite character was a guy named Scarab. He was a Goth Musician recovering from a Heroine Addiction.... he was also a brick with an 80 STR.... he was pretty nasty. Occult based artifact empregneated itself in his body and gave him his powers.
  6. Re: Post Apoc Setting Very good read and a nice take on the genre. I agree that the other major players need to be discussed as well as what they have found out through their foraging over the 10 years they have been building. IE other survivors, how the flora/fauna fared in the aftermath etc... I am assuming it had not effect on the ocean life since there is mention of fish. The main idea I have trouble following is that all land masses were affected, especially from a meteor. It seems like there would be hot spots and zones that were not affected at all.... of course there maybe and you have not got to that part yet So far very good... rep for you sir!
  7. I think one of my favorite settings in a long time has been the Midnight setting from FFG. I have actually thought about trying to do a conversion of this setting now that I actually have some time, but I am not sure I am up to the task for I am but a Hero Padawan..... Has anyone attempted a conversion or seen one? (I was actually working on something very similar for about 2 years before this came out.... just goes to show, early bird decapitates and then devours the worm...) Also for those of you that may be interested I found this while being bored.... Midnight Chronicles I am sure it is old news but due to life interfering (I say we stage a revolution and quit our day jobs) I have not really kept up with, well anything game related...
  8. Re: Kudos to Killer Shrike I agree I usually stalk... err.... lurk in the forums and have found all kinds of cool information on Killer Shrikes HP... no to mention Edsel and Eosin have some info on there (Omega Team) that is worth looking at if your doing Dark Champions!!
  9. Re: DM of the Rings I can't see them no matter what browser... how sad..
  10. Re: [Campaign] The Last Dominion Well at least you are still having fun. Sounds like the group is really come together!! Hopefully some day we exiles may be able to rejoin the "Normals" for a guest appearance or two!!!
  11. I am sure there is one out there but I have not seen it. Is there a Timeline for the Hero Universe that lays out when events happen in the Heroverse? For Example: Turakian Age 0-1000 PSL Valdorian Age 1001-1911 PSL... I was reading in the Valdorian age about one of the Islands (can't recall the name) and it made a reference to it being occupied by Cthulu type creatures during the Turakian Age.
  12. Well I was pretty excited. I finally got a copy of the Valdorian Age and had some time to sit down and start reading it last night... Typically I try not to be critical of other people's work, especially since I have not been published, but I had to put down the book after the first 40 pages just because of all the corny names and the B-Movie fantasy gangs. I could not believe that I read that there is a gang in Lowtown that wears panties in their belts to associate them with their gang.... I can put up with a lot of idiosyncrasy but that about killed me.... I have read a boat load of bad campy fantasy in my life but this was just too much especially for a high end product from HERO games. While I am sure the rules information is great the game background information has been really hard to plug through. Now I am not saying that everything is bad there are some good nuggets in it and I have thought of a couple of plot lines that could be done nicely within the city, it is just that for a grim and gritty campaign world there seems to be a lot of campiness. Of course I could be wrong, maybe they were going for the over the top pulp fantasy feel but I didn't think that was what they were trying to do. Oh well just a rant from a fan that was probably too pumped up about a product that he had to high an expectation. I am sure I will go home tonignht and pick it up again and start reading, I will jsut make sure I have had a scotch or two first:drink: However having said this how does everyone else see it?
