Khymeria reacted to Stanley Teriaca in Next BLANK Hero RPG Book...
So, tell me what Hero RPG would you like to see next.
Mecka Hero: Giant robot roleplaying, both Real Robots and Super Robot areas.
Kaiju Hero: A world of giant monsters. Fight against them. Fight as them.
Horror Hero: Generic horror story role-playing.
War Hero: Your in the army now boys. From the trenches of World War 2 to the elate anti-terroiist squad.
Steam Hero: Might of been covered by Victorian Hero already, so if so ignore this. It is an age ruled by steam.
Isaki Hero: Fantasy Hero supliment which helps the GM to play with Isaki rules.
Victorian Space: Space in a science fantasy world and victorian settings.
Cartoon Hero: Do we really need a GM, or a chaosproff babysitter?
Teen Hero: Come back to your high school for the emotional soap opera we call high school. Plus guides to add a teen game to various other games ("teens from mars", etc...).
Cyber Hero: Cyberpunk in the Hero System with the serial numbers filed off.
Survivor Hero: Post appopulass role-playing. Zombie is merely a subgenre. Same as punks after a nuke strike.
Pulp Hero: Two fisted storytelling I'm a world filled with gangsters.
Or something else.

This is really neat, I’m going to dig into it and see if I can find some specs. I can imagine it landing on the roof of the Empire Club and a bold crime fighter stepping out. Perfect!

It was after this, that New York Newspapers bought Pitcairn, and DeLa Cierva Autogyros for their reporters. THough it was payroll expenses for the pilots that eventually discontinued the services, but they are markedly easier to fly than equivalent fixed wings.

More than a few younger sons of nobility went west to find their fortune, that's a possibility for some groundwork on an adventure. Also it was a convenient way for really bad criminals to escape justice in Europe for them to flee to the west in the USA and disappear in the vast wilderness. The British were, at first at least, super careful about the Maxim Gun and might have gone to great lengths to stop a copy or plans for one from getting into foreign hands (as in, US or even Confederacy).
Going in the opposite direction, Wild West shows would tour Europe, particularly Buffalo Bill's. One of those could end up harboring a villain the PCs are chasing and end up in London.

Between cowboys and Victorian inventors a Wild, Wild West adventure with a ridiculous baddie and implausible technology is ripe for an adventure. Perhaps a plot to electrify the entirety of the American rail system unless the villain can be stopped.

If you don’t include a Resurrection power with a Gesture of putting thumb in mouth and blowing themselves back up i will be sad.

One adventure should be the rescue of an abducted woman. Possibly saving her from the train tracks (with options for other deathtraps).

I do like that idea, could do some crossover stuff: a mystery in London that ends up in Denver, that kind of thing

Hmm...someone should write a book of adventures for Western Hero and Victorian Hero.

I am in the process of creating a funny campaign type book it is called STUPID...
Super
Twirps
Undertaking
Personally
Injurious
Duties
It would be similar to The Tick. Characters do not have a BODY characteristic as you can only knock them out. "NO KILL YOU!"

This was brought up to me awhile back, and why I didn’t include more of the world at the time. The answer is page count, but I remember Japan coming up specifically in the asks. Western Hero: Rough and Ready Roleplaying handles that area of the United States well enough. I personally eyed a more Lost World style supplement as just more adventure area. I plan on playtesting an adventure a bit at some upcoming cons based on Alice in Wonderland for plot, but set in Victorian London.

I wonder if one could do a supplement to play in historic Japan?

You did a great job. Thanks for looking into that.

That is a totally sweet look, and to be honest, I hand in plain documents with a few notes on my thinking of layout. I'm not sure if it is done as an export, but I can ask and see how it was done. Glad you liked the book, it was a lot of fun researching and writing. I will get back to you.

I'm curious about the templates. Im sure Detective is listed, and maybe Cop, but is there Gentleperson Thief? Heir/Heiress? Steam Scientist? Doctor? Monster Slayer?

Got it, it's great. Any chance that there's an export template in the style of those character sheets in the back?
Edit: I use the publishable .RTF export template but I edit out a lot of the superfluous info like costs and adders. Those sheets are clean, I like them a lot.

Print on demand copy of Victorian Hero arrived this morning, so I've been flicking through on my teabreak. Looks good so far, no printing errors I've noticed and the physical quality is higher than I was expecting. Nice large print, too.

Digital Hero #39 includes a mini-setting, War of the Worlds: Champions, set in the same era as H.G. Wells' novel, the end of the 19th Century. The difference in concept is that the toxic "black smoke" weapon used by the Martians, while lethal to the vast majority of humans, in very rare cases induces super-powers, giving humanity something of an equalizer against the Martian technology. Those powers can include super intelligence, so you also get steampunk vehicles and other weapons.
