  1. Here is a link you guys might want to check out... it gives modern prices for various types of vellum. Bookmakers Vellum Link
  2. Hello folks... I am working on a character and I could use an assist. I have some points available on a gadgeteer that I am working on and I would like to come up with a few abilities that are not gadget-based. So can ya'll help me with some ideas for super-intellect based powers? Second, I always have a bit of trouble coming up with a good list of sciences and knowledges... what are your top 10 sciences and top 10 knowledges to place on a PC? Thanks in advance!
  3. I am working on a character to submit BTW, while at the top of this thread, you list the campaign as Champions Generations, at the RondaK site the only Champion's campaign is Hudson Knights run by Don Davis... is that you and is that the same campaign? In any event, I am prepping a 100+100 character to submit as the site directs.
  4. Neither of those links seem to be working
  5. Tamashii, can you post the .hdc files for those please?
  6. I see that a lot of you have played characters with simply astounding levels of skill, everywhere from 21- to 50- or more... but what level of a skill IS "the Best"? Playing in a standard level game as put forth in Fred, in all of your opinions, what would be a good rule of thumb as far as what skill role would make someone the best at something? How large of a negative modifier COULD there be that would require a 50-?
  7. Oooooo... I like Phoebus, I am going to use that for my own nefarious purposes...
  8. Hrm... odd... I cleaned out my caches and it works... thanks!
  9. Has anyone else been unable to get to the Hero Central site for the past 3 or 4 days?
  10. Re: Re: How would you build... Draining Dex would also reduce his OCV and Dex and Dex-based skill rolls as well though...
  11. I stumbled across the following on the web after doing a search for JLA pantheon... The JLA Pantheon It really does make me think about the concept of superheroes being the modern mythology...
  12. Wonder if it would be possible to have Steve and Arron come to an agreement to make the original Strike Force a pdf product??? I do not recall that ever having come up before (though I may be wrong on that point)
  13. With variable SFX, it is +1/4 for a narrow group of SFX and +1/2 for a broad group... one at a time. Depending on the player and the possibility that he would be abusing this, I'd either make it a +1/4 for a total of +3/4... or I would double it for a +1. Probably the +3/4 though.
  14. I was one of the lucky ones... I got a intact copy of Strike Force on Ebay for $10 WITH shipping included...
  15. Until you mentioned them, I forgot that I even had them. That is a very nice product for the artistically challenged (me). I will have to use the poses again for my latest group of characters and perhaps post a few
  16. I am building a rather ridiculously fast power for a speedster... the idea was to be able to run around the world in a single phase. The world is 40,233.6km in diameter, so it is rather tidy to purchase the power as 5" Flight, Megascale (1" = 10,000km; +1 1/4), Can Be Scaled Down: 1" = 1km (+1/4), Only In Contact With A Surface (-1/4). Now the problem is, I want to place noncombat acceleration/deceleration on it AND no noncombat movement. I do not want noncombat movement because it would give him a noncombat multiplier, doubling his already ridiculous speed. So does no noncombat movement cancel out noncombat acc/dec? I think I could dodge the entire issue by buying the Megascale and instead of taking it as 1" = 10,000km I could limit it as 1" = 5,000km and then when I went noncombat I would run 10" and that would make up the differance. I do not play speedsters usually so I am not real familiar with the movement rules, would noncombat ACC/DEC let me get to my full speed and make it all the way around the world in that single 10" move? I hope this rambling post doesnt sound too stupid...
  17. MERRROWWWW! *splat* "NO! FLUFFYYYYYYY!!!"
  18. The flying bird would simply be a follower... it is no different in its way then a horse would be. As far as the magic girl goes, it depends... does the cat grant her the powers, or does the girl have the powers and can only use them when the cat is near. If it is the former, then you are doing it correct. If it is the later, then you can make the cat BOTH a follower and a focus. It would be a follower for the reason that any animal sidekick would be a follower, and a focus because like a weapon or a magical pendant or what have you, taking the cat away will deprive you of your power. I do not think that it was said or implied anywhere in the main book that a focus cannot be a living creature.
  19. I think it may not be done yet, but it is posted on http://www.globalguardians.com
  20. Mangog, great art as always... Coral is my favorite. One suggestion, Porpoise needs a laser mounted on his head...
  21. Re: I can't sdem to find a rules referemce I do not know if you would actually call it a "rule". Steve pulled the 5 for 1 thing out of the ether instead of applying additional limitations to the magic as a way of letting mages get more spells without screwing with the spells systems flavor, consider it like the cost break you recieve for vehicles and followers. Well... since he writes the rules, I guess it is the rule, at least for the magic systems it was made a part of... which are the Chaos Blade system (pg 262) and Lex Magisterium system (pg 266).
  22. I read a post from someone with a compromise that I found interesting... what it boiled down to is to take a template for a standard motorcycle, then the writeup for the slightly souped up one... compare thier costs and be charged the difference. So you only have to pay for the special abilities and not the every man tech part of it. I think I am going to use that as a house rule!
  23. It is not my campaign... rather it is a restarting of an older campaign that is run in a world that has been used now for about 15 years or so. My character Avenger has been a part of the campaign from the beginning, first he was just a plain vanilla mutant... but as I attempted to flesh out his background over time I decided that he was the abandoned son of one of the Blood. Currently his father has come back into the picture (and married his ex-girlfriend, but that is a different story). Generally though, the blood are used basically as is standard from the pages of that supplement.
