  1. Every morning, I make myself a nice mug of ice tea. The company thoughtfully provides a nice icemaker for us, so I fill a big mug with ice. Then I get a cup of hot water and a couple of tea bags from the coffee station, and let the tea bags steep for a while, then pour it over the ice. People who see me do this look at me like I've invented the freaking wheel. Eyes all a goggle with the "you can do that?" look. Sigh. Whatever happened to people's imaginations? D
  2. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. The Secret ID of one of the characters (Billionaire Tech Genius) won the bidding for the character she had a crush on (Martial Brick--my character). D
  3. My actual copy of the book supposedly was getting to the store today, so all I have to go on is the playtest... W00t indeed. D
  4. Hey. That's not right. I pay attention to everything you say, no matter how inane or useless it may be. D (who is apparently angling for *beat the hell out of)
  5. Re: Re: Re: Re: Tax Cheats R Us... Hee. Intrope==Ubergeek. You rock. D
  6. Re: Re: Re: Tax Cheats R Us... Hee. D
  7. Re: Re: Tax Cheats R Us... Well, if Palladium Games is the Scientology of the gaming world... D
  8. Tax Cheats R Us... Yeah, you're right, they'd probably want receipts. Hmph. D
  9. Tax Cheats R Us... Hmmm. I wonder if that would work... Of cource, DOJ would have to come up with some dollars, so I imagine the plan's shot down at the starting gate. Maybe if we donated a dollar to DOJ, then they paid it back to us... D
  10. I'll keep that in mind. Could be fun. D
  11. Ah, paid. Alas. No, I check books for the fun of the occasional mention in the front and out of the goodness of my heart. D
  12. I get that from my wife when I'm proofreading Hero stuff, and I don't get to take it off my taxes. Lucky, lucky bastage. D
  13. Hmmm, Krispy Kremes fresh from the cooker. Thanks to everyone blowing this joint for better jobs and the "we'll get donuts for the celebration". D
  14. Yesterday was a fun day for driving. As i was going out to lunch, I got diverted around a big accident. Seems someone ran/got pushed through/lost control of their car, went through the stoplight, and smacked square into the telephone pole on the corner. The kicker... It was a Student Driver car. Perhaps uncharitably, I said to no one in particular, "I bet he doesn't get his licence..." As I was driving home, I got to watch a car fire. Other side of the expressway there was some nicely burning VW Old Beetle convertible. The firetrucks had just gotten there, and the nice firemen were putting out the car. Traffic was at a complete standstill on my side because of the gawkers. Sigh. D
  15. He did. He traded pieces of greenish paperlike cloth for books. It's all trading. Really. D
  16. Tongue is firmly in cheek. That'd be cool. Reality Storm: A trip through fan fic We can have a wander through slash fiction, with such wonderful visualizations as Defender/Nighthawk. Heck, we can even bring back Seeker for some good ole times. Sounds good to me. D
  17. Ditto from me, I'm afraid. It's not on my "when this is released, get me a copy" list and instead has been moved to "well, I'll look at it when I see it." D
  18. I like the idea of her not having a "good guy vs bad guy" costume. Depending on her break with her past life, and feelings about her past, and the artificial nature of such, being a clone and all, it might be that she would keep her old costume. It's familiar, after all. As well as recognizable. If she's in any way pretending to be the original, who IIRC is MIA, then that let's everyone else go, "What's she up to, what happened to her?" That might make the players much less likely to assume clone/copy/evil twin, and more likely to think mind control/gone rogue/in circumstances they don't understand. Of cource, from comics and movies, when the good girl goes evil, she gets a much ... sluttier costume. It's a tradition. D
  19. Notice please, the "here on out" part of the statement. Acknowledgement. And a Fix. Pretty good. D
  20. I'm voting with Monolith on this one. Pulp seems to be very popular amongst a very few people. I don't know that it has broad support enough to do more than sell tons of the campaign book. D
  21. Thanks for the reminder. I should dl everything anew and burn them onto a CD. D
  22. Try it again, but right click on the mouse, select Save As. Everytime I try to dl a Digital Hero product with direct clicking on it, I hang up the computer on it. Right Click, Save As... no problems. D
  23. They decided to give my my extra week of vacation this year instead of next. They went with Calendar year, rather than Years of Service. Whoo! D
