  1. Yeah the quiz should've had an option for non-Americans when it came to the voting question.
  2. I'd say the primary people at fault for Donald Trump are his parents.
  3. The only people who know are the people who ordered the strike, who would logically keep quiet about it, Fury himself who's not likely to blab, the pilot of the plane the missile was launched from and Tony.
  4. If they fell to the bottom of an icy canyon and died upon impact or the felt into the Arctic Ocean and drowned, they're still dead as a result of Superman's actions. Actions he didn't need to take since all three of them had been depowered and could easily have been captured and brought to justice.
  5. Or rather it would have been, had he not proceeded to toss the man down an icy canyon then stood by and watch Lois do the same thing to Ursa. Then to top it off, not bat an eye as Non leaps to his death.
  6. Umm, weren't the first to Christopher Reeve Superman movies, Superman movies without Nietzchian plots that sold tickets?
  7. To be fair, most of the destruction in Metropolis was caused by Zod's terraforming machine not by Superman.
  8. I agree. They could draw it in the style of the all ages Power Pack mini series Marvel printed awhile back.
  9. Hide the body, say Dent was killed when the Joker blew up the hospital he was staying in. Since nobody but Gordon or Batman know that Dent was wandering around being villainous, nobody would have any reason to suspect they were lying. Indeed as Dark Knight Rises shows us, Batman's choice in the Dark Knight only made things worse.
  10. But, she's defeated him before and not had to take a position anathema to her character.
  11. You lost me with the description of Wonder Woman as a War Goddess. Given that her character has always been about peace, to the point that Ares the Greek god of War was one of her direst foes, I think that's facepalm worthy.
  12. It's really not. Unless he was actively threatening the officers with the gun they had no cause to shoot him. Thus if the man's gun wasn't visible when he was shot, then the officers shot him without cause aka murder.
  13. He was shot for telling the police he had a gun. No evidence that he was planning to use it on anybody, he just said he had one. Then they gunned him down as if a man saying that he had something that the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says he's allowed to have was some sort of crime. Seems like something the NRA ought to be getting up in arms about.
  14. Or if they were even connected to the protestors, as I've already heard some people claim.
  15. I watched the movie Twist today. It's meant to be an Oliver Twist adaption set in modern day Toronto but it just uses the names and tosses out the rest for a drab depressing story about street hustlers. Any charm the characters had in the original story was completely leeched out of them in this version. Oliver's backstory is only barely touched upon,in a run on sentence near the beginning of the movie in what I presume was meant to be the sole moment of humor in the film. Dodger, the main character in this version, is given some backstory. He actually has a brother in this story, so his sexual assault by said brother can set up the climax of the film. Nancy's death happens offscreen and has no emotional impact because we know next to nothing about this version of her. Sikes death has even less impact because he's not even IN the movie. He's mentioned but never seen. Just a sad depressing piece of trash. It's the Ultimatum of Oliver Twist adaptions.
  16. Time travel doesn't work? The BBC would likely disagree, possibly while reclining on all the money they've made off Dr. Who and it's related merchandise.
  17. I agree with you there. Didn't bother to try and convince that guy though, since he didn't seem like one of your "listens to reason" types.
  18. Yeah he seemed to be under the impression that Wonder Woman was built like the Space Amazons from Futurama, or something. Of course when I showed him a picture of Golden Age Wondy, he went on a rant about the guy who created Wonder Woman and how he was a misogynist and all that so his argument might not have been coming from the most rational place. Just sayin'.
  19. So the person I was talking to was using bogus information. Either that or he was making things up out of whole cloth. He did have a crazy fanboy air about him after all. At any rate 5'11', 135 lbs does seem more logical.
  20. I suppose I can agree with that. I can't recall a period where Wonder Woman was really drawn to be that muscular, now that I think on it. Pictures of the Golden Age Wonder Woman actually seem close to Gadot in physique, which is why I'm mystified when people swear up and down that she's the "wrong" body type for Wonder Woman and somebody like *shudder* Chyna is, despite the fact that Wondy's never been drawn with a physique close to Chyna's. If we have to go with ex-wrestlers, I'd say Beth Phoenix has the right physique though she'd have to dye her hair. At any rate, I'm willing to see how well Gadot does in the role.
  21. With the physique Wonder Woman's usually drawn with I could believe 185, though my guess would be closer to 170 or 165. Even at her largest Wonder Woman's never really be drawn as really muscular in my opinion. She has the physique of a supermodel, not a weightlifter.
  22. Ugh, I just had a conversation with such a fan a little while ago in a chatroom. I eventually had to put him on ignore to get away from the stupid. He lost me when he declared this casting destroyed everything Wonder Woman stood for as a character, then claimed that Wonder Woman is meant to be six foot two and two hundred thirty pounds.
