  1. He would've been a better surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble then Nash, JBL or El Torito.
  2. It's only a good thing if Bryan finally gets his revenge on Orton and the title. To my way of thinking, having Daniel Bryan win the title at Elimination Chamber and then having him tap out Batista at Wrestlemania would be a suitable apology for this years Royal Rumble.
  3. The current booking of WWE annoys me greatly.. What annoys me even more however, is the people who got so very annoyed with the Royal Rumble then tune into RAW anyway and resume slurping up McMahon feces as if one allegedly entertaining RAW makes up for all the garbage that's been heaped upon the fans. It's folks like that that are the biggest problem, because until they grow a set and stop tuning into RAW, nothing is going to change.
  4. I'm there for Groot and Rocket Racoon.
  5. Likewise, though by that time it's quite possible WWE might've forgotten Batista exists again. If this mess proves anything, it proves that WWE aren't terribly talented when it comes to striking while the iron is hot. At least not these days. As for John Cena, I actually do respect the guy since he does great work for Make a Wish Foundation and such. I just don't want to see the guy wrestle.
  6. Apparently the Royal Rumble winner flipped out on the fans after the show was over. Mocked the yes chant and flipped off fans at ringside because they were booing him. Aren't you all glad this thin skinned crybaby is going to Wrestlemania? No? Me neither.
  7. If they were ready to properly push Bryan, he'd have either won his match with Bray Wyatt or been one of the mystery competitors in the Royal Rumble and won that. Clearly neither of those things happened and for the life of me I cannot understand why that was not the case. Clearly Daniel Bryan has the talent, the Wrestling Observer Awards gave him best techinal wrestler nine years running after all, and just as clearly the fans adore the man and want to see him succeed. In previous years this would have guaranteed him a title reign and I cannot fathom why WWE has adopted old school AWA booking practices regarding Daniel Bryan.
  8. I haven't watched WWE since Summerslam as a result of this stupid angle. Now a days I find it a bit of a chore to even glance at WWE news, to see what new brand of stupid WWE has heaped up Daniel Bryan.
  9. Umm, no. Superman is not a dangerous psychotic. Trying to be the best person and the best hero one can possibly be does not make you a psychotic. By that reckoning a large portion of the world's population would be "dangerously psychotic."
  10. Re: Soundwave vs. Blaster It's canon, thus it counts.
  11. Re: Soundwave vs. Blaster Blaster and Soundwave also fought in the Headmaster Saga, which was broadcast in Japan. It was pretty much a straight up brawl and both bots ended up dying as a result but Soundwave went down first, which means Blaster won.
  12. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill I don't think so. Tasha seemed to be implying that making the Watchmen prevented DC from using the Charlton characters.
  13. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill But DC did ressurect the Charlton heroes in question. Not only have they been touched again but they've been used fairly regularly since the Watchmen was first written. Captain Atom and the Question even had ongoing titles for awhile as DC characters, if I'm not mistaken.
  14. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC How did the Batgirl with the series that ran for 75 issues not work out? In fact before Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown, there was never a version of Batgirl that could sell their own comicbook. Barbara was never able to manage that particular feat untill she became Oracle. As Batgirl, Babs languished in comicbook limbo untill she was crippled in the Killing Joke. Let me say that again, Barbara Gordon was far more successful after she stopped being Batgirl. Also, please learn to count. Only three people have worn the Batgirl costume since Barbara went on to better things as Oracle: they are Huntress (who only wore the costume briefly), Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown. That's three people, two of whom sold exponentially more comics then Barbara Gordon did as Batgirl. Three people is not half a dozen!

    Royal Pain

Re: Royal Pain As for what my characters would do in this situation. Well they'd simply thwart whatever scheme the royal brat came up with, he's only thirteen years old after all so it shouldn't be too hard, and then take him to jail. As Sinanju and Vulcan pointed out, the kid can be forced to leave the country if he starts causing trouble. I'm thinking attempted armed robbery or attempted kidnapping would be enough to get him sent back home. Upon further thought, I'd say my characters would also investigate the situation since this doesn't seem like a normal plan for a thirteen year old looking for a good time. More specifically they're invesitgating to see if anybody might have something to gain by discrediting the royal family and/or causing an international incident (because I have to think a foreign head of state comitting crimes on American soil would be an international incident.)
  16. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and The Spectacular Spider-Man would also be on the good list for Marvel cartoons. Cancelling them both is, naturally, on the bad list.
  17. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC DC Good: Frankenstein, Agent of SHADE DC Bad: Identity Crisis, Infinite Crisis Marvel Good: Making fun comics like Avengers Academy Marvel Bad: Civil War, House of M
  18. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC Really? Cassandra Cain was just a gender swapped Damien Wayne? The character who never killed anybody during the entire run of her comic? The character who was good friends with Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown (both of whom you might recall, Damien Wayne cannot stand) is just a genderswapped Damian Wayne? Really? Oh and while you're blabbering about generations and decades of marketability, I'd like to remind you that Barbara Gordon spent most of those decades as a backup character in somebody else's comic when she was Batgirl. In fact prior to The Killing Joke she'd been languishing in comicbook limbo for years and nobody really gave a toss. She only became marketable when somebody turned her into Oracle and made her more then just Batman's distaff counterpart. It was only when she became Oracle that Barbara Gordon could carry her own comicbook, prior to that she was C-list fodder. Oh and allow me to point and laugh at you claiming the comic that ran 75 issues was losing money (how pray tell did it run 75 issues if that was the case I wonder?) while the comic that you claim wasn't making money was removed from existence without a second thought. Not that I'm happy that Steph had the Batgirl mantle removed from her, she was more successful as Batgirl as well. Clearly however, you're not going to listen to anything I have to say on the subject so I'll just put you back on my ignore list and hope that other people might actually want to debate.
  19. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC Without Cassandra Cain there would be no Batgirl comicbook Rex. Prior to her comic, all 75 issues of it, nobody was interested in making a Batgirl comic and when Barbara Gordon was Batgirl originally she was basically languishing in comicbook limbo most of the time. She didn't become a character capable of supporting her own comic untill she became Oracle and in my opinion, she should've stayed Oracle. Actually, I'm even going to lean toward DC Bad with Babs returning as Batgirl. It's a step backwards for her. Instead of being somebody as important to the DC Universe as Oracle, virtually every hero has relied upon Oracle for information at somepoint after all, she's now back to being Batman's distaff counterpart and I'm supposed to except it as a good thing? No, no I don't think so. One definete DC bad however, is Damien Wayne. The kid is mouthy, obnoxious and has actually killed people as Robin but Batman keeps him around. If you want to talk about iron age BS soiling a character's legacy, the conversation starts with Damian Wayne. He's even starting to make Jason Todd's Robin look good by comparison.
  20. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC I politely disagree with the original poster that Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown as Batgirls were bad. They were the first Batgirls to actually support their own comicbook after all. I have to think that's a good thing. As for Barbara Gordon returning as Batgirl, I'd have to put this in the undecided column. I thought she was much better character as Oracle.
  21. Re: Fictional Bad Guys Become Real It depends on the source material in question, Cobra Commander was quite competent in the GI Joe comicbook after all and Naraku, from Inuyasha, was pretty much a straight up villain sue in any episode of the show I saw him in. He'd regularly counter the heroes' best attacks with ease, no matter how overpowered they got. Anyway, our heroes might not have the deus ex machina powers that always ensured the likes of Mumm-Ra and Hordak got defeated.
