  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. You don't have to be good at German grammar. Just ask me. Eisenherz is not a translation of valiant but rather a metaphor. But I can easily acknowledge the reason you gave to call her Eisenherz nonetheless. OK! What about these names: Fräulein Wunder (Miss Wonder) Die Eiserne Dame (the Iron Lady) Mutter Macht (Mother Power) Der Reichsengel (the Reich's Angel) Sorry, if these sound lame. I have to think about it for a while longer I suppose.
  2. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Even Eisen-Engel sounds awkward. Make it Eiserner Engel.
  3. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Eisen-Herz : the German title of the comic strip Prince Valiant is called Prinz Eisenherz.
  4. Re: Lucha Dore - El Pumpkin Brilliant and very funny. Thanx, QM, for the link. I was browsing through the art threads at atomicthinktank last night and I saw lots of wonderful stuff.
  5. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Beautiful, absolutely stunning! Hail thee, Storn! You are the ... I like 'em all, but the husky bard is just great.
  6. Re: Are we Ready to Rock? I dunno...are we? Yes, I know you’ve got other plans, but thinking about this thread, I came up with some concepts for villains in the music biz (super villains, that is). I. Hip-Hop is the ideal platform for villains. Putting new meaning into the term gangsta rap. The Freestylerz are MC Blast, Beatbox and Billionaire. Billionaire is a technological genius, he created lots of gadgets and invented a stage show that is unsurpassed. Beatbox is superstrong, he moves swiftly and has a deep voice with which he can create amazing sounds. Even elephants respond to his voice. MC Blast is an energy projector, he fires plasma bolts and can create an incredible light show. The band is accompanied by many bodyguards, servants, and lots of hot chicks. Among them many androids in human shape created by Billionaire. The Freestylerz are greedy but they are not mad...this would be left for our new entry. II. Disco is it! Two years ago, a band of five brothers was hit by a meteorite in their car just coming back to L.A. from a gig in Las Vegas. Their father and manager had taken the plane and so the brothers were alone with their driver, who died in the course of the accident. Each of the brothers got superpowers and went nuts, but they still perform. They are the Joshua 5! (ABC, as easy as 1,2,3) Eric- the youngest of the brothers, lead vocals, most insane of them all, wonderful voice though, his main power is shape shifting:D, has adjustment powers and is an excellent dancer Luke- guitar, gained telekinetic powers, can control several guitars at a time, flight, total maniac, full of anger Roy- bass, desolidification & flight, totally seperated himself from the outside world, only his family can communicate with him Dave- keyboards, stretching & extra limbs, happy go lucky guy, who lives life to the extreme, acts as if each day would be his last, Ken- drums, superspeed, womanizer, his only interest are women, being in a popular band gets him the attention of amny good looking girls, so he enjoys it Matthew Joshua – the father and mastermind
  7. Re: Wwycd Oops! If the survivor is a girl and she potential she might be adopted by the First Ladies. If it is a young boy, he'll have to search for another team. But advice comes at no prize: Primadonna: "Let me sing a tune for you!" Primaballerina: "I'll show you the way to inner peace via long-term meditation and expressional dancing." Diva: "Your teammates are all dead. What a desperate situation! You must feel so aweful and lonely. But I can negotiate a deal with the tabloids, so you can tell your story and make some bucks. And don't worry, tomorrow you will feel better. I promise." (enters his mind to repair damage)
  8. Re: Are we Ready to Rock? I dunno...are we? Keep 'em comin', Enforcer. Although I fear The White Lady (she has that defensive power I dare not speak of)! How about a duet with Primadonna (more opera than rock, think Anna Netrebko)?
  9. Re: [CHAR] The Sprite I like her, but it is not quite the 700 pt. monster we'd expect from you. And she has no... you know what I mean!
  10. Re: WWYCD: The Nightmare on Hero Street To visit the First Ladies in their dreams is usually a bad idea. Primadonna: Her newly developed power of transdimensional sonic blast (she discovered this effect during the encounter with some alien ghosts who were manipulating all figures of authority) would blow away the Nightmare. Primaballerina: She is so strong willed and calm, because she meditates every evening; no one can enter her dreams. Diva: "You are not my worst fear. That would be a day without shopping! Now I will show you your greatest fear, believe me." Mind Blast coming!
  11. Re: [CHAR]Fury and you gave her Mental Defense!
  12. Re: Name help...Queen of the Jungle! Jaguar Jane Monkey Queen Amazonia Jungle Julia (wait...was there a movie lately?) but hey, Enforcer, you usually come up with great stuff yourself ...Green Knight, Fury...
  13. Re: WWYCD Genocide - or Genocide? The First Ladies probably don't have the power to even stop more than one hundred of those aliens. So they are way out of their league here. The problem of killing or be killed would be solved like this: Primadonna: My sonic blast just knocks them out. Isn't that enough, Mr. Defender? Primaballerina: Kicks, punches and pirouettes! I will do this my way! Diva: Haha, I mindcontrolled the guy with the autocannon to blow away his platoon. Hey, not in this direction...
  14. Re: [CHAR]Fury Does that include horses?
  15. Re: [CHAR]Fury Physically she is an awesome powerhouse. But she has weak points too, no Mental Defense. And I like it that way!
  16. Re: WWYCD: A Damsel Who Doesn't Want To Be Rescued... Help me, there was a character mentioned over in some other thread whose name was The Damsel and he was guy! Maybe it's him! Don't know whom The Damsel belonged to. Deathtribble?
  17. Re: Super-Tough Power help A new power that is not in the rule book might be too strange for a novice player. And I find Trebuchet's Invulnerability a bit too powerful, although it sound as if it's just the thing you're looking for. Pinecone's approach does not convince me, because that concept just works against your standard opponents. Anything outside of the ordinary will tear your super-toughness apart. Edsel had a good idea, that I would go with. Make him super-tough (high PD/ED only vs BODY Damage), yet he will still be vulnerable by cosmic level entities etc.
  18. Re: Watchers of the Dragon vs. Ninja Hero Ninja Hero was also, though not solely, intended for a superheroic setting. The Yoosoo were clearly supervillains. Or do I remember something wrong?
  19. Re: WWYCD: Out of Focus, in the know Vitus seems to be the right man for the job, maybe he can also find a cure for my First Ladies and take them out of psycho therapy, where every day is a bad hair day. Auraflow energy, how cool...and scary of course. Looking at your profile picture, I assume I have to go to psycho therapy myself. "The Old Ones are back! Ctulhu save me!"
  20. Re: CHAR: Winter And I will continue to do so...
  21. Re: [CHAR] Emperia She is so hot, in an expensive way, but that's the thing about women with real class, isn't it. They're way too expensive! Okay, down to business now. She could rule my gaming world, since it's usually low powered and almost no character has some kind of mental defense. She could and she would rule it! I give up, Enforcer84 and Emperia now rule the Legatus Universe! Wait until I got my counterpart ready. She will bring freedom to my heroes. Lots of Mental Defense Usable By Others. The Universal Brainwasher and her sidekick Galactikid. It will test your head and your mind...and your brain too.
  22. Re: [Character] The Anvil I just love this guy! He wouldn't make a decent PC, of course. But he could turn out to be a lot more than you think in the first place. I just came up with some ideas. And he needs a girl-friend who has Mental Defense Usable By Others.
  23. Re: WWYCD: Out of Focus, in the know Yes I know, but the Fist Ladies would declare everybody they couldn't touch to be a ghost. They probably would guess that these "aliens" are not the mental or "soul" remains of dead people.
  24. Re: Etrigan's Arts Steel? Naa, he looks like Zero from my campaign. Or... he is Zero from my campaign "The Adventures of Zero and One: The Binary Couple". Where did you get the license?
  25. Re: WWYCD: Out of Focus, in the know Okay, my characters are totally unfamiliar with that kind of supernatural foes. Primadonna: After realizing that her sonic powers don't work against the ghosts, she will be more than happy to go go and see a specialist, and maybe think about psycho therapy. Primaballerina: Even her unsurpassed martial arts will not harm the ghostly intruders. She will actively be seeking help, be it an occult master, earth's arch-mage or whoever will be available. She will definetely drag primadonna along and try to convince her not to go into psycho therapy. Diva: She'll be the first to go into psycho therapy. And that should be done in a five-star luxury spa. She'll not accept the existance of ghosts.
