  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. The cosmic hero looks familiar. You've done him before? It seems like I might have seen him in this thread. Same colour scheme, similar costume?
  2. Re: The Zodiac Group I Created, it's a 300k pdf Good work, BTW, good work!
  3. Re: Soviet Superheroes Big Mac ? Just great...:D:D
  4. Re: Soviet Superheroes
  5. Re: Dr. Cross (Else Earth's Obligatory NaziMastermind) Your babelfish translation was good. No need to worry. I think it's great that there are still a few people out there who speak our language. Unless Dr. Destroyer conquers Earth it won't be the language of these boards. Thanks SSgt Baloo:thumbup:
  6. Re: Dr. Cross (Else Earth's Obligatory NaziMastermind) Well...with all respect to SSgt Baloo Panther = Panther (Leopard is the spotted type, while Panther is the black one) Highspeed = Hochgeschwindigkeit (loose the s, it indicates that there is some part of the word missing) SiverStar = Silberstern Mountainside = Berghang (the word Bergabhang exists, it sounds awkward though)
  7. Re: Dr. Cross (Else Earth's Obligatory NaziMastermind) If you are planning more German villains let me know. Perhaps I can be helpful with names. OTH it would be a real surprise to see a German hero.
  8. Infotainment Löwenbräu means Lion's Brew. The Brewery can be traced back as far as 1383. The name Löwenbräu was established in the 18th century because the building of the brewery in munich had a fresko showing Daniel in the Lion's pit. Prost!
  9. Re: Dr. Cross (Else Earth's Obligatory NaziMastermind) Please also consider changing another name: Herr Löwe translates into Mr. Lion to be precise. Lord Lion would be Löwenfürst. Now you've got options.
  10. Re: Information for HERO/Champions Fans About The Champions Online MMO He's busy. I am alive and available and German! "Now everybody must obey or die!" Does that qualify me? And Steve: Great Job!
  11. Re: Rinspeed "Splash" concept car travels on water They had a lot of great concept cars over last years. Check out http://www.esoro.ch/english/frameset.htm and look for the Esoro SQuba, a car similar to the James Bond Underwater Lotus from the 70s. It really works.
  12. Re: Special Operations Strike Force and enemies Very helpful! Although all the characters are standard 4E with 250 points and thus starting characters. I think I'll go with Thia's proposal and take some existing characters, adjusting them accordingly and FOOMP! For a one-shot, I think we don't have to go into detail that much.
  13. Re: Special Operations Strike Force and enemies I wish I had your inspiration. FOOMP, there it is! As easy as that? Most of the characters in Savage Dragon are bricks. It should be easy to write up those. Dragon himself needs a lot of regeneration though. But some others? I do not even know their powers. It's getting more diffcult than I thought it would.
  14. Re: Special Operations Strike Force and enemies Yes, I did. But unfortunately there was nothing to be found about Savage Dragon & Co.
  15. As I prepare a fun night gaming session for my players and some potential newcomers, me and the guys decided, it was best to take a break from our standard campaign and run a one-night-only adventure. To save me from doing write-ups out of scratch all by myself, I'd ask for some help. Does anyone have write-ups for the Savage Dragon, Special Operatons Strikeforce characters and their enemies (Vicious Circle etc.)? I did some resaerch on www.brotherhoodofthefin.net, but they do not list most of the characters since they just managed to go through A to D, as of yet, basically. My players want to play: Kill-Cat (just for the fun of being a retarded egomaniac; player is trustworthy) Rock (main man of S.O.S.) Superpatriot we want the newbies to play: Savage Dragon (to give him a major role) She-Dragon (his girl comes along) Mighty Man I did not yet decide who the villains will be. Anything I receive would help. Thanx in advance!
  16. Re: Homo Sapiens and their guns I agree!
  17. Re: Homo Sapiens and their guns You're right! Let's get back on track.
  18. Re: Homo Sapiens and their guns I think this example illustrates it quite well. You're not being consistent with your arguments. On the one hand you give examples from the real world. On the other hand you tell us to look at Karate Kid for details. ??? The HERO system is a rules system to roleplay the world of superheroes, it is not the real world. It is not even describing the real world via rule terms. So every GM has to create a game world of his own. Your standard soldiers could easily be super agents in my game world. And you cannot tell me that I'm wrong, because it is my world and I decide what the stats will look like for a standard soldier. IMO a soldier can reach +1 in HTH combat skill levels in 2 weeks of HTH training and not even one move of martial arts. To learn martial arts maneuvers takes months. Everything else is just a small combat bonus. But that is the way in my game world. And I'm not talking about the real world, because it cannot be packed in game statistics. If you say a soldier can earn a black belt and 23 points of martial arts in two weeks, so be it, but that's gotta be your game world.
  19. Re: White Rabbit (Marvel) I had never heard of her before. She is unbelievable!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Rabbit_(comics) http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/whtrab.htm
  20. Re: MancerBear's Art Den I think her right hand looks kinda odd. Otherwise I like her, especially the colors.
  21. Re: Goody Two-Shoes (Marvel) Anyone complaining about CLOWN should take a look at this character! Goooooofball!!! And his Secret ID is Sven Gollison from Sweden, so his native language should be swedish: http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/goodyts.htm
  22. Re: Thou Shalt Not Speak Its Name Maybe I'll post some ideas later about what the members of CLOWN are doing today.
  23. Re: Thou Shalt Not Speak Its Name Hey Bob, can they sell Brooklyn Bridge again? How often have they done in your campaign?
  24. Re: Thou Shalt Not Speak Its Name Too goofy? Naarf! Dot: a man in an alien powersuit (needs a new look) Beuford the Bard: martial artist with a mind-controling mandolin and a shakespearean look, resembling Henry VIII to be exact (great concept) April Foolmaker: mind-controling ventriloquist with a dummy puppet (get rid of that dummy) Marbles: she fires different kinds of marbles at her opponents, some being magical, some technological (give her powers a more stringent logic and her a real costume) Random: an Irish gypsy with ever changing powers she cannot control (always loved her) Merry Andrew: technological genius and gadgeteer (OK, he is goofy) Skate Kate: a skating chick throwing gas bombs (she is not that much fun and can be neglected in the resurrection of CLOWN) Slapstick: retired, he bounced liked Danny Kaye, slapped like Moe and walked like Charlie Chaplin (emphasising his retired status, he could be role-played for many tragicomical moments) Snapshot: a cameraman who turns his victims into photographs (powers definitely need a revision) Popgun: expelled member, enacting the cowboy role, he has some weird dangerous popguns (as he was intended for a more serious campaign, he must come back; perhaps with a new name and dangerous hi-tech revolvers) Spotlight: light-controling girl adopted by Merry Andrew (her powers are standard energy projection; her looks could be changed from rainbow colored to almost transparent or white; then put her on a standard villain team an send Merry Andrew searching for her) Tag: american football, brick, INT 8 (need I say more?, if he is goofy, then the whole sports culture...well that is another subject) Toe Tapper: dancing martial artist with a mind-controling cane (Fred Astaire gone rogue, he is a classic) The Trickster: a spirit, a prince of the universe, an elemental force? The true man behind CLOWN! And impressive 2000+ points (4th ed). (we don't need a true power behind the wicked masters of CLOWN, leave him out of this) Trump Knight: a man in medieval armor with a magic scepter (I've seen lots of guys like him in the comics; goofy factor: zero) Teehee: the CLOWN Car (needs to race against the Centipede Mobile, so I want see it coming back)
  25. Re: MancerBear's Art Den He has the spidey-esque look that I like. Very lean and muscular at the same time without being too "buff". And even without reading your comment, I was reminded of Cricket. A well deserved homage.
