Re: Champions miniatures LOL! I only painted it, I didn't sculpt it! Actually, this fig came from a fantasy (D&D like) slave set that was rated for ages 17+ because all the women were naked. In addition to the human females, this are two dwarven wenches, two halflings, a catlady (or tiefling, maybe), and a mutant gal with four breasts (haven't figured out what to do with that one). Anyway, all I had to do to prep this fig was file away the nipples and, erm, the "bushy' crotch area. Cheers, Mags

Re: Champions miniatures She's really good, Blue. I'd try to put some separation between the shorts and her legs, though. I suggest either a gray line to define the edge, which you can then make extremely thin again by painting on more white over the gray, or by making her skin a darker shade of tan. Right now, she kinda looks nekkid from the hips down and that she seriously needs to hit a tanning booth, you know? I really like the mask. Mags

Re: Champions miniatures A cleared out all of my pics except for 7, before I started posting these photos of my miniatures. I will try to have an alternate link in place for each pic before I delete any of the new ones. Contrary to what some have stated (in other threads) I didn't actually store my pic/files here, only displayed them here. I still have each and every one on my PC and I am trying to get them back into the threads. Mags

Re: Musings on Random Musings What's worse is that this morning, I canceled a job interview with another company that I had a pretty good chance of being hired at. Of course it pays $4/hour less than the A/P job I was "unhired" for... which was why I chose the A/P job in the first place. Man, I have all the luck- over the years I've been laid off, forced into resignation and, yes, once even fired... but this is the first time I've ever been unhired. I don't even have any legal recourse, because they went through a recruiting agency. Old Man was right, though. It they were capable of pulling that stunt, I wouldn't want to work there. Mags

Apparently, the client hired someone else from another agency today, after telling my recruiter they were hiring me. It so thoroughly sucks that I can't even describe how crappy I am feeling over it.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I must be cursed or something. I got a call from my recruiter about 20 minutes ago. She called to tell me the client hired another candidate from another agency. This is after yesterday saying they were hiring me. Long story short: no job. This was outright cruel if you ask me. I was supposed to start on Monday. I was celebrating already. I was happy. And now I feel crushed. And worthless. Mags

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I've no clue what my benefits will be like but, whatever they are, it'll be better than what I've had for the last 2 years- which was nothing. I've already decided that I am going to put the maximum amount I can into a retirement fund and it should only take me a year to become debt-free again (that includes getting a newer car). Hey, I figure if I can live for two years on next-to-nothing, I should have no problems budgeting the wealth this time around. Mags

Re: The cranky thread Yeah, I will if I ever see her lurking around. My daughter was moved into a nursing facility today. We took her TV and PS2 (and games) t her room and my brother hooked it all up for her (she was asleep) so at least she can at least play her video games while there. I waited in the car. So for now we are just giving her space. Eventually, she will realize that Aida is a user. I know that once Aida sees she can't get anything from my daughter, she'll back off and leave her alone. My fear is that my kid will give Aida permission to cash her disability check. Which is, I hope, impossible for Aida to do. Most banks don't take or cash 3rd party checks anymore unless it's an extreme circumstance. But... other things are looking up for me. I finally found a job and I am stoked, big time! Yay! Mags -finding it hard to feel cranky now, in spite of all the recent crap...
