  2. Re: Superhero Images Cool beans. Nice HM pic; good color scheme. Mags
  3. Re: Champions miniatures Thanks! Much appreciated. Link? Not seeing a link... Mags
  4. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I just watched U2 sing "Vertigo" on Saturday Night Live and it was pretty good. I liked it. Before this, I'd only heard it from the IPOD commercial. (My brother taped it.) And they didn't lip-synch. Mags
  5. Re: Voting results for the first Semi-Annual Champions Modding Contest Yippy-skippy! And congrats to everyone! Mags
  6. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Is there an echo in here? Is there an echo in here?
  7. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I get that way, too, with my own art. I hate most of the stuff I did long ago. Heck, I hate some of the stuff I did last week! (Ok, hate is a strong word, I really mean that I don't think it's very good.) Most artists try to improve their trade and so end up not liking the older projects. Mags
  8. Re: Champions miniatures Monsoon. I posted a pic of her in Super Images a while back, too. Mags
  9. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Some semi-good news: I was able to salvage that job interview I canceled on Friday (because I was hired on Thursday). I go in at 2pm tomorrow. Pays less, but there will be opportunity for overtime. Closer in (but I still have to commute to downtown), casual office, stable company, but it's not my chosen field of work. It's temp-to-hire, but I can negotiate a higher wage upon getting hired. Let's hope this pans out. Mags
  10. Re: Champions miniatures Yeah, I have to in order to post new ones. 1 MG is too limiting. Mags
  11. Re: Champions miniatures Last one for today: Mags
  12. Re: Champions miniatures .... chick with big gun and big backside: Mags
  13. Re: Champions miniatures Another one. This one needs retouching. I was a novice painter at the time and the drybrush job I did wasn't so great. Mags
  14. Re: Champions miniatures Yeah, I need to thin my paints too. Mags
  15. Re: Champions miniatures Well, I'm not a "sir", but I'll answer anyway. Very fine! An excellent diorama. A little late for Halloween, but that's ok. Mags
  16. Re: Champions miniatures I rest my wrist on the edge of the table when doing the finer work, but seriously, eyes aren't all that tough. What you see around the eyes on my figs is merely illusion. I really didn't paint a thin line. I did paint a thick line which defined the edges of the eyes (top and bottom) and then after that dried, I repeated the process with the flesh color which only left a thin line visible. It's the same process I described for leaving a thin line along the border of Teen Anthem's shorts, you know, for definition. Mags
  17. Re: Champions miniatures Here are two figs I did a while back. Posting this mostly to demonstrate what a difference a paint job can make on the same mini. Mags
  18. Re: Champions miniatures Drag queen? You're just saying that because his hair is long. Oh, I guess it doesn't help that his costume if purple. Or that I left the legs bare. (Darn, I know I should have painted long pants on him...) Mags
  19. Re: Champions miniatures That's a nice looking mini, Blue. Personally, I like to find the mini first, then build my character around it. This is much easier for me than trying to find a mini that matches my PC. Mags
  20. Re: Champions miniatures What the heck, one more guy. Unnamed. Mags
  21. Re: Champions miniatures One more, if it'll fit. This is Guardian, a magical golem from our INH group (INH originally meant Insert Name Here, but later became Independent Northwest Heroes). Mags
  22. Re: Champions miniatures As I was taking these pictures, I noticed that quite a few are a little beat up. We use them a lot, so they may be chipped here and there. My apologies. Wildchild, a martial artist: Mags
  23. Re: Champions miniatures This is Darkstar, a brick my younger brother ran several years ago. Mags
  24. Re: Champions miniatures This is Fuchsia, an ground-pounding energy blaster with a fuchsia-pink plasma beam. And she's a cheerleader. Yes, this is the Vampirella miniature. I bought 3 or 4 of them, but this is the only one I've painted so far. Mags
