  1. Until your kids starting snickering and saying behind their hands "<snicker>boss<snicker>, like mom would let him get away with that".
  2. I highly recommend the original books. the first and last are a series of short stories, readable at any time and only a wavering timeline, the middle 3 books are the Geralt/Yennefer/Ciri trio story that the game developers used as their predecessors. Course, I also recommend the games as they are well done RPGs.
  3. Come on Liaden, there aren't nearly enough blood drenched altars to count for meeting you thesis supervisor.
  4. Just ANOTHER of the great scenes from Marvel movies that get me. On a level with "On Your Left" from Endgame (and the moments leading up with Cap strapping on the broken shield and Thanos having a look of "what is it gonna take to stop this guy").
  5. Actually, the books were out long before the video games AND the plots aren't the same. The makers of the games claim they are continuations. the series is actually just based on the books, spurred on, no doubt, by the popularity of the games.
  6. is it an optical illusion or is the sheet moving?
  7. I always felt like Ghost Protocol saved that franchise. It also renewed Cruise's interest, as he was ready to hand it off to Renner before/during the movie. 2 and 3 I just could never get into because I still couldnt get by Mr. Phelps being the villain in movie 1 (especially after hearing Cruise in interviews talking about how much he was a fan of the original series and couldn't wait for people to see it). I actually felt like Rogue Nation (5 in the series) felt the most MI of the movies.
  8. Finally finished the episode. Tag match was everything thought it would be and I believe Jurassic Express was planned to win, but it looked like Fenix really messed up his arm, but updates say was a dislocated elbow, no broken bones. But, I felt this during the match, Luchasaurus is big and can move, but he needs to work more on in ring stuff. Granted that he is meant to be big and ponderous at times, but he really looked stiff and the match felt like it came to a stand still when he was in. He did not have the chemistry the other 3 did. You could see Perry fitting right in to 2021 match of the year with Luchas vs Bucks. Hopefully this will give Lucha more time to work. I also think Ruby really hurt her shoulder during their match and am not sure that Jade winning was the original plan. Finally, I thought the end of the Pillman/Black match was terrible and made Pillman look bad. Felt like they were getting limited on time, so needed to end it prematurely. They need to figure out what they want to do with Black. When he came in, he was playing up a storyline of making Cody go to a darker place, but since then he has been spinning in place with no real story, feels like. It's kind of why I was saying he needed to take over Dark Order or form another group with him as the cult head.
  9. Halfway through the episode. Loved Punk doing that to MJF who always claimed undefeated, wish they had shown Punk talking to the kid he took out after and apologizing though. Glad the Hangman/Danielson went the way it did, especially as was under 35 minutes I believe. I was really worried they were, after all the buildup to get him the title, they were going to take it away from Page in a judges decision fiasco. Haven't watched the tag team one, not surprised with Fenix's travel problems recently that they gave belts to JE, especially given the buildup of Jungle Boy - and I have felt like Luchasaurus has been really under used, supposedly a force of nature type but he has been the person on the losing side in a lot of their tag/6-man stuff. I would watch a JB/Fenix match every night if possible - the in/on top of ring stuff those 2 guys do... I am surprised by Jade getting the belt and not Ruby, but they had been building up Jade for a long time as an unstoppable force (course they already had that with Nila Rose, but she loses a lot). Can't wait for them to put a belt on Wardlow and him to refuse to give it to MJF. They are really setting up him turning on MJF, and sooner rather then later.
  10. not just old man/young woman, but old man in position of authority over the young woman.
  11. Want to see it, but with weather and power problems, will probably have to wait until comes to regular pay channels. LOVED the first one, really hoping previews didnt give to much away.
  12. I think funniest part of this, you can absolutely see Ant Man doing that and being worried about telling any of the big guys.
  13. Wait til he combines it with a cowardly person from slang. Then make him guess whether which the meat comes from.
  14. In a lot of ways, he reminded me of Tommy Lasorda - you may not like all he does, but his knowledge and passion for his sport never wavered and always came through in everything he said.
  15. Went and saw The King's Man. I should preface this with the fact I really enjoyed the first 2 with Taron Egerton. They were a fun romp with a, honestly, silly story but worked as a parodical send-up of spy movies. This one had some of it, but was really, really dark in comparison. Given they are based on graphic novels by Mark Millar, I shouldn't be surprised, but I really felt anyone going to see if who watched and liked the first 2 were in for a big, and not necessarily pleasant, surprise.
  16. That is very cool looking. Given the cars, as an american, my first thought was: "is this what happens when you don't know how to use a roundabout correctly?"
  17. not sure in modern days that 1gp=$1. pretty sure 1gp is worth more then that.
  18. One other thing that struck me in this after watching the post credits scene. Is the problem still the same one or does Stephen cast it a second time, as it certainly looks the same. And if so, then his entire shifting the blame to Peter was, well arrogant and selfish (which of course is very in character for him). The problem being, he doesnt realize how deep a guilt complex Peter has and that Pete would accept the blame. Wong warned Stephen about the consequences, and yet he ignored them. And given that we saw that Wong was heading to the ancient temple, where we see Mordo attack, it makes me think the movies run concurrently. Also, I now wonder if Stephen remembers Ned using the ring, since he forgot Peter. And one of the easter egg sites I saw mentioned that even though she forgot Peter, MJ still wears the broken Black Dhalia necklace at the end, so there is something there.
  19. Agreed on ending, sort of heartbreaking and really brought home standing next to Happy at May's grave (I thought the tear going down her eye meant she was still alive) and being asked how he knew May. I hope it isn't actually and I kept thinking when they figure it out, MJ and Ned are going to be pissed, since she will remember Peter looking at her injury and not telling her. loved the movie and Molina was spectacular, again - but he has been my favorite of the Spider-Man villains so far prior to this, and I liked him still being sane at end and turning on Elektro (I also thought they setup him returning to the point he died when he suddenly became rational again in SM2, this explains it, as he was sane again). I liked the shop talk between the villains in the dungeon as 3 of the 5 are multiple PHD holders. Church was again a great "tragic" villain as Sandman, I actually thought he was going to aid the spidermen as Ock did. And now Venom is in the MCU, though thought he already would have been. Isn't the Venom movies in the MCU? His disappearing didn't make since, as this Brock isn't the one from the Maguire universe, or so I thought. And I actually still felt that both Garfield and Maguire enjoyed doing Spidey, I know Garfield was especially disappointed that he wouldn't do more. Also agree with Iuz as this may be one of my top 5 Supers movie.
  20. True. I always wonder, is an ear worm still an ear worm if it is a great song. I had Show Must Go On, by Queen in my head for days (Great song with an even greater story behind it, is the one Queen song I believe no other person should sing unless given specific allowance by Brian May. There are a few others which are so attached to the performer, I feel like they need to remain that persons - RESPECT by Aretha is one).
  21. Great, now that will be buzzing in my head all day.
  22. Or at least let you see in the dark or add a couple lives.
  23. I would add I would like to see a decent reign, as I think Penta and Fenix might be the most enjoyable tag team to watch in matches. Their in ring actions are amazing, especially Fenix. The 2 main matches they had with the Bucks were 2 of the best I have ever seen, with the first ending in one of the worst endings (them stealing Fenix's mask to be able to pin him). All I saw of the second was highlights as i don't pay for the pay per views, but from what I understood, it may have been one of the best tag matches ever.
  24. Judging by her directions sometime, it happens to siri too.
