  1. Re: Royal Navy Hero I'd also like to go on the record as saying that the Royal Navy aspect of the project is my favorite part! -Shelley
  2. Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects Hee, hee! I know what I'll be doing (when I'm not studying for the bar): Regency HERO! -Shelley
  3. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER OMG. Me, too. It doesn't matter how much sleep I get, either. If it weren't for Lancome eye cream, I don't know what I'd do! -Shelley
  4. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Now I know how to get to your character -- Americans! -Shelley
  5. Re: Regency HERO Resources Whoops! Should have clarified that I meant the linked resources in that page, which are of particular use to gamers! -Shelley
  6. Re: Regency HERO Resources This might be of interest: 1793 Background Info -Shelley
  7. Re: Regency HERO Resources Mine, too. -Shelley
  8. Re: PRIMUS source book? AlHazred has my number -- I so heart PRIMUS. I mean, when we got our spiffy Okidata color LED printer, the first thing I did was print out the Golden Avenger Keith Curtis drew for me! -Shelley PS: thanks for all the encouraging words, guys! I'm plugging away on Regency HERO (and that pesky law thing - one more semester left!) right now and can't wait 'til the time comes to work on PRIMUS.
  9. Re: New PRIMUS teams I'm enjoying what I've read! Do keep posting. To respond to your question, I think it really depends on the overall power level of the villains, as well as the turn you want the game to take. If it's more combat oriented, more assault agents; if it's more investigative (as your game seems to be), then more intelligence agents. The way I designed both investigative and assault agents is that neither character type would be bored in game -- investigative agents have some combat skills, assault agents have some investigative skills. -Shelley
  10. Re: New PRIMUS teams Terry and Beth in one post. Mark, you've done my heart good. -Shelley
  11. Re: Lady May Chiltren G - Thank you! You made my morning. Now that the second year of law school is nearly behind me (yeah! One more paper!) I'm settling down to work on RH before the last year starts in August. Actually -- technically -- everyone but the titled lord himself was a commoner. Even the son-and-heir was until he ascended to the title! -Shelley
  12. Re: Lady May Chiltren Fun character! The weight is on the rail-thin side, but not completely unrealistic. It's the write-ups that have the women at 5'7 and 105 pounds that crack me up. -Shelley
  13. Re: Gaming Historical Zeitgeists Regency HERO ("RH") is a MS in progress that should be finished by December....the rudiments of what a RH game are like can be viewed at my 1793 website (for a GURPS version -- http://mactyre.net/shelley/1793 ) or at the RH site -- http://mactyre.net/archives/regency/ -- though the actual book covers RPing from 1775-1820, not just the Regency. -Shelley
  14. Re: Gaming Historical Zeitgeists Gah! And you're in Portland?! Interested in playtesting Regency HERO in a few months? -Shelley
  15. Re: Things We'd Like To See:PRIMUS Oh, you sweet thing, you! You made my evening. And when PRIMUS ultimately comes down the pike, everyone will be hearing about it; I love suggestions. -Shelley

  17. Re: Disads/Perks/Talents Oh, you know. Real life and stuff. Actually, my first job out of college was as a webmaster, and I never wanted to work on webpages when I got home. After I quit and did other things, I finally started updating again. And frankly, I got really sick of everyone telling me I wasn't doing the links the way they wanted me to. "You should organize by category." "You should give descriptions." "You should rank the sites." What do I look like, Yahoo!? Anyway, I figured they could maintain their own *!^& links if they so desired. -Shelley
  18. Re: Disads/Perks/Talents Doesn't Worldmaker host that at his PBEM domain? (Oh, to be the queen of the HERO links again!) -Shelley
  19. Re: Things We'd Like To See:PRIMUS Those are great! -Shelley
  20. Re: Things We'd Like To See:PRIMUS Silver Avengers are the local guys (although I chuckle at distributing them along federal courts -- I can just see Silver Avengers PO'ed that they're stuck watching oral arguments); there's only one GA. There isn't a major power difference, esp. when you factor in equipment. -Shelley
  21. Re: Things We'd Like To See:PRIMUS Yep -- and that's a great way to make the PCs hate PRIMUS, fast. But I don't think there should be more than around 15 or so. For one thing, it would be too expensive; for another, there needs to be a novelty factor. -Shelley
  22. Re: Things We'd Like To See:PRIMUS I love it! MP, you're a gamer after my own heart. -Shelley
  23. Re: What's the best method of introducing HERO System to newbies Whew! Well, at least we know he made it out alive! -Shelley
