  1. I updated AA to 6th Ed and changed Neon's name to Gaslighter.
  2. This was my official FB review.... Movie Review: Black Widow (2021). With the never ending delays on this film's release, it was almost inevitable that the expectations around this one would surpass what we actually get. This film in many ways reminds me of Solo. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but there's nothing that really stands out about it either. If it hadn't been made, I don't feel like we would have been missing anything in terms of its impact on the MCU. Now....I'll freely admit this film would have felt much better had it come out before Infinity War. As it stands, this movie can't really offer up much excitement as we already know where this story ends. Taskmaster was the big draw for me and that ended up as a disappointment (and not for the twist everyone is complaining about). Dave Harbour's Red Guardian is probably the best thing about the film. I also appreciated seeing Rachael Weisz again (a favorite of mine since 1999's The Mummy). Again, there's nothing embarrassing here, but it just doesn't pack enough of a punch visually or dramatically for me to give it more than an average grade. So...this one gets a C+
  3. We do movies at the theater because it is a rare opportunity for a date night, but all of these reasons are perfectly valid too.
  4. Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy Legend: The Movie- Essentially the "Infinity War" saga of the Ultra series. Lots of kaiju (and kaiju fights), more backstory on the Ultras, and decent CGI. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. It's fun and totally worth watching.
  5. My last option pick is The Cosmic Cube. Location is the Blue Area of the Moon (as per Marvel) Title: Dark Mirror Plot: The Grandmaster forces a conflict with the prize being a cosmic cube. As usual, he has other plans aa well. The players are all vaguely similar, but opposite: Homelander/Mon El, Loki/Mask, Phoenix/White Violin, Mastermind/Daredevil/Sensor Girl Much of the story's intrigue comes from the interaction of the game's various players.
  6. Option pick....Mastermind! Mastermind (Jason Wyngarde) - Wikipedia
  7. Leave it to Florida to lead the charge towards fascism....
  8. The first real act of accountability...however small....that I've seen in a long time.
  9. By this I take it you believe armed conflict is inevitable?
  10. To each their own. I hated almost everything about it.
  11. So we're just going to sit around and wait for everything to collapse because Americans are unwilling to work for the common good....got it. Sigh...
  12. Unless we address our societal issues, things will only continue to get worse. Sadly, the country appears to have lost the will for meaningful change.
  13. The worst Godzilla film is the 98 Deanzilla. The worst Japanese Godzilla film is Final Wars IMO. As there are as many reasons to like or dislike theses films as there are Godzilla films...I'll leave it there for now.
  14. Ultra Galaxy....think Pokemon...but with Ultra kaiju.
  15. In general, humans in general and Americans especially only understand catastrophe. Things have to be monumentally bad before we take action as a general rule. We don't prepare....we react. It's maddening.
  16. First option pick...The Grandmaster! Grandmaster (Marvel Comics) - Wikipedia
  17. I guess I'll take Sensor Girl for my remaining pick... Sensor Girl (Character) - Comic Vine (gamespot.com)
  18. Well...darn. Hmmm....Daredevil then.... Daredevil (Marvel Comics character) - Wikipedia
  19. Time to recruit....Emma Frost! Emma Frost - Wikipedia
  20. Capitalism desires...and dare I say...requires...a permanent underclass.
  21. I haven't seen too many picks today, but I believe we can continue. I will take Phoenix...and as it is unspecified...I will clarify by saying this is the Rachel Summers version. Rachel Summers - Wikipedia
  22. Fine then....the fact that humanity thinks it's "fashionable" again less than 100 years later is still pretty depressing. We learn....nothing. Sigh...
  23. The fact that humanity wants to do the fascism thing all over again...less than a 100 years later...just depresses me beyond belief.
