CarlSagan
The Justice of Jamie Originally posted by loraxxx SHUNNING POWERS, DEACTIVATE!!: besides the fact that she's mainly a FLYING brick, and much of her strength is tied into her FORCE FIELD, and the fact that no one said anything to WONDER WOMAN about foot wear, and, oh yeah, she's in a pretty FOUR COLOR campaign--she's rich enough to have shoes built which could with stand the use of her powers..... SHUNNING POWERS, RE-ACTIVATE!!: Oh, Hell: the stilletto heels could be a 4d6 HKA, Usable Only With Move-Through! Alternatively, she could take them off in battle and throw them like batarangs! loraxxx
you're not the first people to say that about her--in fact her teammates pretty much echo your statements VER BAITUM....! (and yeah--that WAS the effect i was going for when i created the character) it's just that she's SO nice, and SO obtuse, and SO sincere (and SO good in a fight BTW) that for all her faults, she tends to grow on you.... ....kind of like molds, spores. and fungi.... Lara, being a tomb raider, found the artifact and touching it caused the transfer. The character concept was probably partly inspired by Camelot 3000. I thought it was a brilliant concept. CorpCommander
COM Drain Any Character built around a Comliness drain is pretty much rediculous! Perhaps a villian Fashion Designer with mind control could explain it... haha! GM: Ok your character is wearing striped pants and a striped shirt. Your hair looks like you just slapped on some bacon grease and you've sprouted a 'cool' goatee. Player: Yeah? So, that's their power? GM: the stripes are in opposite directions and clashing colors. You lose 15 points of comliness. Hmm puts you at -5. Make a perception check to see if you notice the Eye Witness News cameraman coming your way... DocMan
My first Champions GM was telling someone else about how versitle the Hero system was. So, as an example, he suggested you could create "the man who knows when the cake is done". This struck a chord with me (which probably indicates that I need some tuning). So I created Randolph Bundt, The Man who Knows when the Cake is Done! The excentric (read insane) son of a multi-millionare baking mogul who is obsessed with baked goods in general and cake in particular. His stats are pretty normal, except for remarkably high Presence and Ego. He has really high skills in Oratory and Persuasion, an uncontrolled always on mind control that makes people go along with his suggestions, and a special sense that allows him to know when and where a cake is in danger of burning. In game, he would work like this: Hero team and villian team are in full battle, causing lots of collateral distruction. Randolph shows up, and gives a stirring speech about how they should cease this petty foolishness and band together with him to pursue a higher calling. He convinces them to transport him accross town, where he knocks on the door of a house, waking the old woman who lives there. When she answers the door, he reminds her that she has a cake in the oven, and it must not burn. She goes to check the oven, with Randolph, the heros, and the villians following. Since the cake is indeed done, and she is a good hostess, they wait patiently while she ices the cake and serves them all a slice. At this point Randoph says "My work here is done!" and flounces out into the street to accost some passerby to take him to the next scene. The Heros and Villians come to their senses to find they are standing in some woman's kitchen holding plates of cake and glasses of milk. Mayday
I think its clear that Jamie's costume is in fact a body tattoo... There is no other way the bodice can stay in place in the heat of battle. I like the second picture much better, good angle AND flowing hair! CarlSagan
I LIKE Randolph Bundt! A GM of mine ran an NPC who wasn't too different in concept (although not QUITE as silly!) This guy (whose name escapes me at the moment) had only one power - an uncontrolled, always on, area effect (with a greatly expanded area of effect) Presence Transfer! He was absolutely unremarkable when he was alone, but if you dropped him into the middle of a football stadium, his presence would shoot to 3,000+! He became a billionaire by spinning some cosmic line of mystic bullsh**, ala Deepak Chopra. The most hardened skeptic would leave his seminars a true believer! (He was really, really funny.)
