Cancer
Depends on circumstances.
Cancer
OK, World Cup is over. Everyone back to work.
L. Marcus
I guess I have to -- two days of vacation this summer will have to do. If I should show signs of psychosis the coming year, could you please tell?
Cancer
You mean, more than usual?
L. Marcus
Well yah, obviously.
Cancer
That complicates the detection process, of course.
L. Marcus
Write an algorithm, then.
Cancer
def IsPsycho( Person ): if person == LMarcus: return True else: return GeneralPsycho( Person )
L. Marcus
Easy-peasy.
Cancer
Yup. Not as easy as the simple unconditional return True, but gets the job done for code review purposes.
L. Marcus
... All I know, programming-wise, is some very basic Basic.
Pariah
I actually knew FORTRAN at one time. Modula-2 as well. And I pretty much taught myself HTML back in the day.
Cancer
I can still parse out FORTRAN (stone age FORTRAN at that) and C and C++, and Python. My awk is gone, as is the assembly language for the old Data General NOVA minicomputers of the mid-to-late 1970s. I only wrote two codes in Visual Basic, so that hardly counts. Bazza
Basic, LOGO, pascal, COBOL, Java, HTML pre DHTML.
Rails
I used to know BASIC, Ada, Pascal, FORTRAN, COBOL, and had a little bit of C/C+ knowledge. That was about 20 years ago. Now . . . I do some work with DCL (Digital Command Language on OpenVMS) and *might* be able to get the gist of a COBOL program.
Old Man
BASIC, Fortran, Pascal, COBOL, C, C++, Java, Scheme, Prolog, Motorola 68k assembly, PHP/MySQL, HTTP/CSS, Bash/sed/awk, all very very badly.

Cancer
Sadly, I am about to become one of the Knights Locked Up In Stoopidmeetings....
L. Marcus
Hahah! Only productive meetings so far at summer job.
Pariah
A church leader of mine used to say, "You've got to have a pretty darn good meeting to be better than no meeting at all."
L. Marcus
Swedes are the best meeters.
Cancer
They are more friendly than parking meters, that's for certain.
L. Marcus
Those meters are, in the end, truly neutral.
