Re: The World of Kong

That was the one thing that didnt make any sense. If a 50 foot gorilla is on top of the Empire State Building, shouldnt you like let him stay as long as he wants. You know I dont want to be walking along the street and look up to see some big@$$ ape falling in my direction because some crazy pilots were shooting at it.;)

No, because the lady it's taken hostage isn't likely to survive up there with the fifty foot gorilla. Besides that if you just let it stay up there eventually it'll come down and tear up the city looking for food for the lady and himself. Besides, I'd rather have the falling ape then the falling ape's dookie, y'know what I mean?

Re: The World of Kong

Actually' date=' the Wold Newtoners (and my home campaign) go farther and claim that while Doc and crew were unfortunately out of town during Kong's rampage (or I'm sure they'd have taken care of the whole matter briskly), Kong was actually shot down by none other than G-8 and his Battle Aces. dw[/quote']

They were just making sure that Herr Grun and Herr Doktor Kreuger didn't get their hairy hands on Kong. The world was not yet ready for Nazi Cyborg Gorillas.

Re: The World of Kong

Out of the roughly 60 character sheets I hope to develop, I have done two.

This will be a long term project. OTOH, a lot of the entries are re-worked versions of previously published creatures, so it makes that part easy. I will include a genetic "Kong" (giant ape), as well.

Got love it.

Sending players to Skull Island.:eg:

After my group got together and saw the movie all of my players jokingly said that as soon as they heard the words "Skull Island" in one of my adventures their characters were going to commit suicide. If for no other reason than to avoid the spider pit. :)

I've built character sheets for the worm that eats Lumpy the Cook and the Weta-Rexes. I'm trying to do the whole cast of chasm monsters first and then go from there. I estimate 50-60 character sheets when I'm done.

The worms are what disgusted all of us the most. I can't wait to see them.

I'll be starting a new thread for the whole crew. I expect to start posting once I have 5-6 written, and then add a new one every few days. Since many of them are (for now) based off of pre-written material (for example, the Weta-Rex is a Combat/Guard Dog mixed with a Giant Wasp), building them is easy.
