Except, of course, that you need a decent machine AND the latest browsers for either Flash or Java.

But this is only important to us folk who provide web services to customers in a professional capacity - so ignore my complaints.

If I had nickel for every time I brought up accessibility issues to fellow web developers, only to be met with bewildered stares... :)

The sites nice .. the details is nice .. the navigation sucks though. I shouldn't have to keep going back to the same pages to move ahead again.

And put me in the camp of "flah = not good" due to accessability, it's not that ubiquitous yet, not until we reach 75% on High Speed 'Net Access.

Sit them in front of a pentium with vga graphics, version 4 IE (or netscape), a 28.8 modem and a text reader (used for the visually impaired).

If they get to the content they want within 2 minutes - it's a good website.

Ta - I realise now I should have sent a PM, rather than hijacking the thread off topic.

Anyhoo - Flash can be appropriate for roleplaying. It's appropriate for entertainment sites - just not any other form of website (such as business, education, government etc). Movie websites are often flash. Which pretty much sums up the Movie Ideology ;-p

I happen to be one of those folk, so I do everything in IE4-compatible HTML (dynamically generated via PHP, of course). But if I weren't selling something or providing a government service I might be more inclined to use eyecandy plugins.
