keithcurtis
I got this link from the Dragon's Landing Podcast. This is truly a cool site. I've put in a lot of work on my own world, but the level of skill here makes me jealous. Try the interactive Flash Map. Inspired. The Flash maps are a cool idea. Could use some further enhancements, though. Hmm, I may be learning Flash shortly myself...

Steve Long
Re: Amazing Fatasy World Site I think I've seen this before -- the name sounds familiar -- but it definitely seems to have been jazzed up a bit from what I recall. Pretty darn impressive!

ghost-angel
Re: Amazing Fatasy World Site The sites nice .. the details is nice .. the navigation sucks though. I shouldn't have to keep going back to the same pages to move ahead again. And put me in the camp of "flah = not good" due to accessability, it's not that ubiquitous yet, not until we reach 75% on High Speed 'Net Access. If they get to the content they want within 2 minutes - it's a good website.

keithcurtis
Re: Amazing Fatasy World Site ? He's referring to Homestarrunner.com, a trip well worth making. There are numerous references to it on this very board and at least one of our posters got his dancing avatar from there. It does require flash, though. Curufea
Re: Amazing Fatasy World Site Ta - I realise now I should have sent a PM, rather than hijacking the thread off topic. Anyhoo - Flash can be appropriate for roleplaying. It's appropriate for entertainment sites - just not any other form of website (such as business, education, government etc). Movie websites are often flash. Which pretty much sums up the Movie Ideology ;-p

I happen to be one of those folk, so I do everything in IE4-compatible HTML (dynamically generated via PHP, of course). But if I weren't selling something or providing a government service I might be more inclined to use eyecandy plugins.
