tkdguy
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... I don't know if you guys have seen this one yet. It's about how someone makes his own starship miniatures from balsa wood. http://www.tonsha.uklinux.net/ftships.html Today I thought about creating a space station from a water bottle and a few odds and ends. Dauntless
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... Has anyone mentioned Mongoose Publishing minis for A Call to Arms (which is a game for Babylon 5 simulations)? Some pretty cool minis, though a bit on the pricey side if you ask me. If you want curvy ships, the vorlons are pretty cool. Personally, I like the narn and earth alliance ships the best, though they aren't that curvy. Other curvy races would be the minbari and centauri, and to a degree the dilgar.
shadowcat1313
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... Call To Arms is a great system, and its a lot like Battlefleet Gothic in some ways, and plays fast and simply. sometimes you can pick up the old B5 wars figures at a discount, so they arent quite so bad, I got the Narn and Centauri starter fleet boxes at a con for 8.00 each
Captain Obvious
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... Italeri makes some decent starships in 1:500 scale. I saw some last time I was at my dad's, and even though I don't have any sci-fi games coming up anytime soon, I still kick myself for not buying them. tkdguy
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... I recently got the Cold Navy ships, and they look great! Maybe it's the way I painted them, but don't the Terran ships remind you of the Gamalon ships from Star Blazers?

tkdguy
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... I'd like to post some pics. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner or a digital camera. The best I can do for now is Photoshop a couple of the images found in the website and post them here. I don't know if that would be against the rules, though. The most striking similarity to the Cold Navy Terran ships is from the Black Lotus Empire (Battleships Pleiades and Galiades). http://www.desslok.com/
Guest Major Tom
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... Some of the newest spacecraft minis to appear on the market recently are the ships from the Honor Harrington universe, produced by Ad Astra Games for their Saganami Island Tactical Simulator spacecraft miniatures wargame system. I don't know Jack about the Honorverse, but I do know that the minis that I've seen thus far put me in mind of armored Q-Tips . Rapier
Re: SpaceCraft Miniatures... I'm looking for a good, easy-to-use website where I can buy some spacecraft mini-figs. I might use some battlefield Gothic, but they don't have the look I'm going for. I want high-tech, streamlined looking ships. Any suggestions? Silent Death minis. Silent Death is a pretty cool game in its own right, but the figs are pretty sweet, too.

I guess you've never seen the Tau spaceship minis (the escort-class ones, not the battleship- and cruiser-class minis). They're certainly high-tech and/ or streamlined-looking enough. The Dark Eldar ship minis are also high-tech and/or streamlined-looking (in sort of the same way as the B5 Centauri minis).
