cypar7
Re: Western Hero Resources They do have some cool previews on the website. I Liked "Firearms, Flaws and More" very much. I wasn't sure I would burn the coin to buy the tome, but that item has almost convinced me.

Can't believe I'd never heard of this (old) HERO supplement before Thanks Again Got the book & absolutely love it Crazy, that I'm getting so much out of a 16yr old HERO resource! I didn't get into HERO until 2003, so now I'm totally interested in what other gems might be out there from decades past. Thanks Again for the link. I would've bought Western Hero on day one if it'd been at my local gaming store. Not only did your link gift me w/ the Western Hero hookup but it also introduced me to the wonder that is Noble Knight Games

CorPse
Re: Western Hero Resources Snagged a used copy of Western Hero from my FLGS for $3. Sweet... maybe I should flip it on eBay, 'cause I already have one. But I figured we might never see a 5th Ed version, so I should at least stick it in the collection. Also, there's a nifty 4th Edition Horror Hero book that you don't see around too often, but might be worth having based on your taste. It was usually a 40 minute drive to my FLGS but I made the round trip and purchase under an hour. Looking back that drive could have left a nasty mark on my driving record (not only broke a few traffic laws, I think I might have broken a few laws of physics )

However, I don't think there's any serious discussion of doing a 5th Ed version. There is, as it seems you know, a 4th ed version. A few weeks ago I ended up with an extra copy . If it's something you might be interested in having, just drop me a PM.

As someone who has no interest in looking on ebay' date=' I'm rather interested in such a book, being a L'Amour, Duke, and Leoni fan and all.[/quote'] I seem to recall that during a recent Wednesday night chat Steve mentioned that it would be way down the list, if on it at all...Tho' a few of us in the chat did push for a combined title which would cover both western and swashbuckling genres. One title that someone tossed out was (if I'm remembering correctly): 'Swords And Six Guns Hero'. Just think: The Three Musketeers team up with The Man With No Name... Of course, since there is no current method of logging the chats others who were there might have a better recollection than I of the discussion....Anyone else recall that ? -Carl-

Just think: The Three Musketeers team up with The Man With No Name... Slightly off topic: That reminds me (belatedly) - anyone else here ever seen "The Master Gunfighter" with Tom 'call me Billy Jack' Laughlin ? Or "Red Sun" with Toshiro Mifune and Charles Bronson ? Cross genre goodness !! -Carl-
Steve Long
Re: Western Hero Resources Has Steve and Co dropped any hints on doing Western Hero for 5ER? I would flat-out love to write an all-new Western Hero. Unfortunately, the book just wouldn't sell well enough to be worth the effort. In the time it would take me to research and write WH -- and it's a subject that I love, so I would want to do a very thorough job -- I could write three or four other books for, say, Champions or FH that would each sell twice as well as WH would. So, I'm sad to say it's not likely we'll ever get to do a new WH, unless something changes.
