Tech
Does anyone know of the names of any supervillains from the Hero universe that reside/visit/seek to take-over, etc South America and/or Mexico? It'd help for an adventure episode.
MitchellS
Re: South American Supervillains Champions Worldwide covers Mexico, Central, and South America and gives write ups for Eclipsar, Raya De Plata, El Sauriano, and El Tiburon. Arcane Adversaries gives us the write up for the god Tezcatlipoca. None of them seem to have much interest in conquest. Perhaps this is a good time to bring back Professor Muerte? Flames
Re: South American Supervillains The Bush Administration's favorite South American supervillain is Hugo Chavez, and his evil scheming henchman, Sean Penn. Mwa ha ha!

[/quote'] Well, Tezcatlipoca could work for this purpose depending on your definition of "conquest". He wants to overthrow modern society in Mexico (especially Christianity) and restore the Aztec realm, with himself as its supreme god. Under the right circumstances he has the power to do it. With her mindset Raya de Plata might go along with this scheme if she's offered a prominent place in the new order; and El Tiburon is a willing hireling. I agree that El Sauriano is too fixated on restoring his "brother" dinosaurs to actually conquer anything, and Eclipsar is pure untempered destruction. And yes, Muerte might work (and thanks for the plug, Hermit) , but he isn't actually official. At least not yet.
Lord Liaden
Re: South American Supervillains Come to think of it, there are a couple of other possibilities. For one thing, the Champions Universe has a fictional state named Chiquador, between the real-world nations of Brazil and French Guiana. Its dictator, Garrastazu e Silva, has ambitions of conquest in South America, and besides building up his conventional military has also sponsored efforts to create superhumans to bolster his forces. The country's only public super-champion is a flying brick called El Grifo Rojo ("the red griffin"), but other experiments have been conducted in secret. (More on Chiquador can be found in Champions Universe and Champions Worldwide.) Teleios has a laboratory in Nicaragua, from which the master geneticist might launch armies of cloned soldiers, monsters, or engineered plagues. It's also worth noting that Teleios is willing to work with other conquest-minded villains; he's more interested in power for the freedom to conduct his experiments without interference. Given their objectives, I would say Teleios and Garrastazu e Silva would be a match made in Hell.

caris
Re: South American Supervillains The Warlord and the War Machine also make good possibilities. Yes, they normally focus on Asia and Africa, but that doesn't mean they couldn't be doing some consulting work in South America.
Lord Liaden
Re: South American Supervillains I should mention that if all you're looking for is supervillain names, Champions Worldwide names and describes the members of two major villain teams, Os Depredatores of Brazil and Los Reyes de Crimen of Mexico. Both teams mostly commit robberies and similar crimes, but could probably serve as hired muscle for master villains. Unlike the previously mentioned villains from CWW, none of them have writeups or illustrations.
