Enforcer84 Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 So I've noticed that my team, the Solution, is missing a melee combat specialist, non brick variety. So, I've decided to create a Tarzan homage who's a girl. What I do know: She's not from Earth proper. Rather, she's the scion of a wealthy explorer from the 20's and 30's who found his way to the realm of pulp adventures. A peculiar land of legend filled with lost civilizations, jungles, dinosaurs, cults, a few cities, odd races, underground civilizations, volcanoes, etc.. Her progenitor elected to stay and explore for the rest of his days, meeting and marrying the princess of one of the jungle civilizations in the process. His daughter, a bright, fiercely independent, and physically adept has decided to live his life in reverse, exploring and making her way in his home-world. since he found the pools of Methuselah (or similar) his progeny are extremely long lived. And baby daughter has spent the better part of two decades exploring Else Earth proper while lending a hand when she can. She's probably more Laura Croft in appearance than Tarzan, but her fighting style is animal based, she prefers fisticuffs to gunfights, and she's something of an anachronism. Physically she's more Shanah the She-Devil, red haired, green eyed, fairly dark complexion, she dresses in modern fashions, and will have something of a superheroic costume. Well, if you're looking for an homage, then an actual name in tribute to Tarzan's creator might work. Rhyssa Burroughs perhaps? I like the Burroughs name... how about first names of Rhayne, Lexie, Morgann, Hayli, Jana or Jane(another Tarzan reference) And code name possibilities: Feral, Lynx, Diva Looked up some swahli words: Got Kichaka, Vichaka(some form of jungle) or Uzuri (woman) Georgette of the Jungle:rolleyes: I have to admit, I have more trouble naming female characters than males. It also sounds like one of those pulpy explorer type names as well... If her actual name sounds cool on its own, does she need a codename? ie: Rhyssa, Defender of the Jungle?
