More fun with Morty the Incompetent Mugger

Wormhole

Recommended Posts

Morty the Incompetent Mugger is back in his alley waiting to jump someone. How the little dimwit has managed to avoid getting his third strike and going to prison for good, you're at a loss to fathom...but that's hardly the point.

This time Morty has sunk so low as to accost what appears to be some harmless, sweet little old granny (though considering his track record of mugging people he should have left well enough alone, appearances may be decieving). Sure enough, just as Morty waves his gun at her and demands she hand over her purse....

(roll a d6)

1) ..."Granny" turns out to be an undercover cop in disguise. He immediately subdues and arrests Morty.

2) ...Granny chants a bunch of unintellegable syllables, makes some strange gestures, and transforms Morty into a frog! She puts him in a mason jar and stuffs it into her purse.

3) ..."Granny" turns into a hideous giant monster and bites Morty's head off!

4) ...A big, tough, mean-looking character taps Morty on the shoulder, says "Hey jerk, that's my mother you're messing with!", and punches Morty's lights out.

5) ...With suprising swiftness, Granny kicks Morty in the family jewels and walks casually away as he's lying on the ground, writhing in pain.

6) ...Granny pulls a ridiculously huge handgun from her purse and sticks it right in Morty's face. She demands that he hand over his wallet.

Rolling on the floor, laughing. Except for the thing with the monster or turning Morty into a frog. That's just wrong.

"Can we really do that?" he [Durnik] asked

"Yes," Beldin said "but it's not worth the trouble. Frogs multiply at a ferocious rate. I'd rather have one person who irritated me that a million or so aggravating frogs."

David Eddings, The Seeress of Kell, p81.

Aquatic starts to move to stop Morty, only to be startled when she demands HIS Wallet with her own gun pointed at his face. "I'm not sure that' s the purpose of the 'stand your ground' law at all, miss." Then he'd armor up, get between the two

Banner already has his battle staff out, and is ready to disarm Morty when...the little old lady turns into a monster and tries to bite Morty's head off. If he could, he'd put his staff into the monster's mouth to save Morty. If he isn't fast enough, he'll try to subdue it. Either way he'll be cursing under his breath "Stupid skrulls, leaving their housepets behind..."

Marksman

2: Call Cerebus to help with the obvious witch, while keeping her glued up (Hope she needs to gesture)

3: Attempt to stop "her" anyway possible

6: Disarm her with a arrow, then incapacitate both till the cops get there

Re: More fun with Morty the Incompetent Mugger

Sailor Sun is descending as Monty's kicked in the family jewels. "She looks at him and says, "Don't go anywhere. I'll call for an ambulance and the police." Monty continues to writhe and moan.

The Charmed Ones watch from across the street as granny, actually an undercover police officer, arrests Monty. "Let's talk to our friends on the force," Paige suggests. "Monty may've stolen something mystical. Why else would we've been drawn here?"

Goliath laughs at the cop's clever undercover work, asks if the officer needs any thing, and leaves it to him.

Mole blinks as the dude is turned into a frog, "Uhm, ma'am ? Yo. You want an escort to the police station where you can turn him back and hand him over?" Suddenly 'ma'am' seems like a good idea

Re: More fun with Morty the Incompetent Mugger

Volt would shake his head at most of this and figure the guy deserves it although in 4 & 5, would take the guy to get treatment if needed. If the guy were turned into frog, he'd say "Olorin? Is that you?" If not he suggest turning over the guy to the police. Asking the mugger for his wallet would get him to say somthing like "Now, now. If you are serious, I have to bring you in. If you are just making a point, let me take him in." On number one "Well officer, I see you do not need my help." The monster scenario would probably start a fight.

Olorin - 1) "I see you do not need my help." and start snickering when the officer is out of hearing range. 2) Could be granny. If not, he'd say "Nicely done. Are you going to turn him back and turn him in, or leave him like that?" If informed he was going to be left like that, he'd check the person out. If not evil, he'd let it go. If evil - well..... 3)One fight coming up! 4) & 5):rofl:6):snicker: then say basically the same thing Volt did.

Black Tiger 1) :snicker: and walk away. 2) "Olorin?" then the same as Volt. 3) One fight coming up. 4) & 5):snicker: and walk away. 6) Shake his head and give bascially the Volt speech, but a bit more seriously.

Futurian 1) :snicker: and congratulate the cop. "On to something else!" 2) "Aw c'mon Olorin! Let me have some fun! Olorin?" If not Olorin - "Aw @$#&! Not another one. Listen, are you going to leave him like that?" And then act pretty much like Volt. 3) "Aw @$#&!" and start a fight. 4) & 5):rofl:6) see Olorin's reaction.

Re: More fun with Morty the Incompetent Mugger

The Lord Captain Thia Halmades would be at a bit of a loss, seeing there are a lot of options here, so I'll just follow the instructions and roll me a d6... and I get a 4.

4) ...A big, tough, mean-looking character taps Morty on the shoulder, says "Hey jerk, that's my mother you're messing with!", and punches Morty's lights out.

The Lord Captain opens his mouth to say something, realizes that anything he said would be hypocritical, and thanks the gentleman for his services. "I'll ... well, let's be honest. I'll take the trash to the dump, by which I mean the local law enforcement authority. However, I should... admonish you that by rule, only licensed law enforcement officials and those individual specifically empowered to uphold the law, should be punching people's lights out. I'm willing to chalk this up to defense of house & home, if you're willing to concede that you won't make a habit of this."

It turns out that the big palooka is in fact a Law Student, and agrees to have coffee with the Lord Captain at a later date to further discuss this fascinating topic. Thia drags the moron to the nearest cop and hands him over.

Zam'azi'nel'kalree rolls and gets a 2.

2) ...Granny chants a bunch of unintellegable syllables, makes some strange gestures, and transforms Morty into a frog! She puts him in a mason jar and stuffs it into her purse.

He very -- very -- quickly decides this is not a matter for the Legion and very rapidly walks in the other direction.

Ephraim "Easy" Zintel encounters the situation with a 6.

6) ...Granny pulls a ridiculously huge handgun from her purse and sticks it right in Morty's face. She demands that he hand over his wallet.

In the confusion, EZ slinks around granny and eases up behind this idiot and puts him into a rear naked choke, rifles his pockets, finds his wallet, takes the cash out of it and gives granny a decent amount of "grocery money," which he explains, "Morty here wanted to give you as a gift, ma'am. Now Morty and I are going to ... talk."

Morty wouldn't be bothering anyone after that. Ever. :eg: EZ is a professional killer, and he's a family man. If this clown has stooped to dealing with Granny, then he needs removed from the scene. If there was trustworthy law enforcement, EZ would simply wreck his life for the next six to eight weeks and put him in traction, then fork him over, saying calmly that he'd "fallen down some steps while trying to mug an old woman." If at any point in this procedure Morty gets uppity, then he'll be staying down. Permanently.

Stereo Used to be on the wrong side of the tracks himself. As the granny kicks Morty in the jewels, he shakes his head, "Clearly laddie, you are not cut out for this line o work. Maybe it's just chance, maybe god is telling you something, but ye need to stop ...here, let me buy you a beer."

*rolls d6; result: 5*

Pyrie blinks twice in disbelief, then falls to the ground laughing. When she's suitably recovered, "Granny" is out of reach, so she walks over to Morty, and says, still snickering, "You need some help? I'm sure the cops are going to love hearing about this......" She'd then proceed to taunt Morty until the police arrive, whereupon she'd take great pleasure in recounting the incident ^_^

and demands she hand over her purse....

(roll a d6)

1) ..."Granny" turns out to be an undercover cop in disguise. He immediately subdues and arrests Morty.

The Omnimorph: Grins. Offers to be a witness if the cop wants it.

Demandra: Probably tried her "Intimidation" before realizing what's happening, which might flup things if the cop is affected and Morty isn't.

Grijze Kat: Depends on form. If human or human-plus, just like T.O. If hybrid, hope wasn't seen; will sneak away if can. If cat, saunter on by like she's a completely normal cat.

2) ...Granny chants a bunch of unintellegable syllables, makes some strange gestures, and transforms Morty into a frog! She puts him in a mason jar and stuffs it into her purse.

The Omnimorph: Politely get Granny to change Morty back; preferably at the nearest cop shop so those *****s will get another dose of "THIS is how the world works now, disbelievers!"

Demandra: If she didn't "Intimidate" first thing, she'd "Intimidate" Granny into doing the same thing T.O. asked for.

Grijze Kat: Run like hell. She doesn't want to deal with another Shaper.

3) ..."Granny" turns into a hideous giant monster and bites Morty's head off!

The Omnimorph: Try to catch\subdue critter, calling for backup\cops.

Demandra: If she didn't "Intimidate" first, beat the snot out of the critter, then call the cops.

Grijze Kat: Go to hybrid or human-plus form, track\delay\distract critter, calling for backup.

4) ...A big, tough, mean-looking character taps Morty on the shoulder, says "Hey jerk, that's my mother you're messing with!", and punches Morty's lights out.

The Omnimorph: Catch\subdue attacker, calling for cops.

Demandra: If she didn't "Intimidate" first, punch bigguy's lights out, take both to nearest cop shop.

Grijze Kat: Go to hybrid form, try to take down bigguy, call for cops (maybe backup too).

5) ...With suprising swiftness, Granny kicks Morty in the family jewels and walks casually away as he's lying on the ground, writhing in pain.

The Omnimorph: Politely tell granny she has to go to nearest cop shop, make out a complaint. Let the cops decide if she's being charged (Excessive Use of Force is likely)

Demandra: If she didn't "Intimidate" first, put Granny in control hold, pick up Morty, get both to nearest cop shop. Be chuckling nastyly about what happened to Morty.

Grijze Kat: While chuckling: In human or human-plus, do like T.O. In hybrid, be a bit intimidating, try to do the same, but be willing to carry Granny and Morty to nearest cop shop. In cat form, get a good look, walk to nearest cop shop, change to human-plus, and tell them what she saw.

6) ...Granny pulls a ridiculously huge handgun from her purse and sticks it right in Morty's face. She demands that he hand over his wallet.

The Omnimorph: Drop her, fast, hard, however it takes. Call the cops to pick them up.

Demandra: "Intimidates" them both, call the cops. If either don't go under, knock 'em out cold.

Grijze Kat: Go to hybrid form, take Granny out. Call cops, turn over both.

Caliente: Rolls a 5. She would laugh derisively at Morty, and make no move to apprehend "Granny". She would take Morty's gun, and frisk him for other weapons, and then determine how much stolen money he had. If none, she would leave Morty there. Otherwise, she'd call in the police, to apprehend Morty.

The Blaze: Rolls a 5. She would stifle her laughter, and try to talk "Granny" into going to the police and pressing charges. She would frisk Morty and remove any weapons (including the gun, naturally). She would then transport Morty to the police.

Lana Wanna: Rolls a 1. If the cop is good looking, Lana will give her/him a way to make contact (email is far the most likely method), and make her interest obvious. However, Lana will be sure not to interfere with, or slow down, the officer.

Taking it from the top:

1) ..."Granny" turns out to be an undercover cop in disguise. He immediately subdues and arrests Morty.

Nothing, crime prevented.

2) ...Granny chants a bunch of unintellegable syllables' date=' makes some strange gestures, and transforms Morty into a frog! She puts him in a mason jar and stuffs it into her purse.[/quote']

MACH 5 would sigh and go down to ask the little old lady to please put him back, he's not going to be very tasty as a frog. Then he calls 911.

3) ..."Granny" turns into a hideous giant monster and bites Morty's head off!

Well, seeing as Morty's now DEAD, that problem is solved. As for the giant monster, there's nothing a firepower from a man sized jet fighter can't solve. Or so he'd hope.

4) ...A big' date=' tough, mean-looking character taps Morty on the shoulder, says "Hey jerk, that's my mother you're messing with!", and punches Morty's lights out.[/quote']

This, is a self-correcting problem. Morty will either learn his lesson, or end up spending the rest of his natural life in traction.

5) ...With suprising swiftness' date=' Granny kicks Morty in the family jewels and walks casually away as he's lying on the ground, writhing in pain.[/quote']

See above.

6) ...Granny pulls a ridiculously huge handgun from her purse and sticks it right in Morty's face. She demands that he hand over his wallet.

As nice as seeing Morty get his comeuppance, Hal would call 911, report the double robbery and prevent both perps from leaving the scene of the crime.
