bigbywolfe
Re: What Is The Deal With Talents? Here's a cheap one Androgynous: +3 with Acting, Mimicry, Disguise (9 Active Points); Limited Power Only to impersonate the opposite sex (-1) Real Cost 4 Lucius Alexander Impersonating a palindromedary That's actually pretty cool. Creepy...but cool. Someone swing the rep stick for me.
lemming
Re: What Is The Deal With Talents? Since the palindromedary needs more rep anyway.

Killer Shrike
Re: What Is The Deal With Talents? I would love to see a few of these' date=' KS, if you feel like posting them.[/quote'] They are scattered; a number of the custom Magic Systems in the Fantasy section of the site use such a model, like the Dominine system (for Domain Access and freebie "Domain Ability"), and the MetaMagic "feats" for the Vancian systems. In MetaCyber there were some oddball concepts like Unbreakable Bones (which was either a 5 or a 10 point ability), the various expanded Cramming options (listed under BioFeedback) and a Chronic Talent for heavy users of Pharmitech (designer drugs) which heavily mitigates rolls for Long Term Side Effects above a certain threshold, Here There Be Monsters has a slew of them listed on the abilities page and some more tucked away in places like Exorcism, in Champions I allowed things like a Mixed Attack Talent that allowed the combination of Ranged and Melee attacks as part of a Sweep / Rapid Fire, and so forth. Some of them were classified as "Special Skills" or "Super Skills" or "Singature Abilities" and so forth but, wink wink nudge nudge potato pohtahto.
