Squall
Re: Domino costume All I meant was...ah, nothin'. I wasn't trying to argue, so much as share my own thoughts on general superhero disguises and the "realism" of them. Anyways, never mind. Didn't mean to come off snarky, don't want to keep going and come off as even more snarky, so I'll just bow out. Had a long day, guess I'm coming off as crankier than I mean to. Checkmate
Re: Domino costume And yet so many people rob places and the police have no idea who they are. The SO MANY is the reason why. It take tons of work and lots of money. Are the police really going to spend $1,000 for the specialists and equipment needed to recover $100 in merchandise? Then there's the fact that robbers don't typically wear a colorful costume and say "Hey I'm the same guy that robbed that other place!" as well as TONS of other reasons why that doesn't correlate to a Super Heroes secret ID. Guys like that don't stop at one and each job is a potential murder. But the real problem is that having a good idea how tall and heavy a person is, is not actually sufficient to single out a single person as being the guy you are looking for. Prestige
Re: Domino costume Well, the times I've had people I know rather well tell me, when I'm wearing my contact lenses "Oh, I didn't recognise you without your glasses". It could be that a garish primary coloured costume is designed to distract attention from the face, so people remember the costume, not the person inside it. And, as any cop will tell you, people make lousy witnesses. That would also explain why female super heroes wear the costumes they do...to draw the eyes away from the face to their other...ahem attributes. Karmakaze
Re: Domino costume That would also explain why female super heroes wear the costumes they do...to draw the eyes away from the face to their other...ahem attributes. From the pilot of Lois and Clark: [Martha and Clark finally pick a good disguise for Clark] Martha Kent: Well, one thing's for sure. Nobody's going to be looking at your face. Clark Kent: Mom! Martha Kent: [laughing] Well they don't call them tights for nothing!

Checkmate
Re: Domino costume If it's an armed robber? Yes. Actually the answer is no. Ask any police officer how many times a specialist gets called in for a typical armed robbery. Now tell everyone that they could make millions of dollars by finding out who this person is and see how many specialists flock to the area.
