Nadrakas
WhoBat. Intrinsically wrong...but funny. Of course this does explain why, in every single TV Show and Movie, Batman is a different person. ~ N

Cygnia
So by this logic, if Christian Bale was the Tom Baker of Batmen, Ben Affleck will be the Paul McGann? Nah. Bale doesn't have the humor of Tom Baker.

Andrew_A
So by this logic, if Christian Bale was the Tom Baker of Batmen, Ben Affleck will be the Paul McGann? More like Peter Davidson. He's an established actor following someone who defined the role (at least in the eyes of some people). Then again, I barely remember McGann's performance, so you may be right. Cassandra
Actors who played Batman Lewis Wilson - Batman Serial 1943 - At 23 youngest actor to play Batman, who served as a secret government agent hunting down a Japanese spy ring. Robert Lowery - Batman and Robin Serial 1947 - Age 36. Batman and Robin track down a criminal named the Wizard with an invention that can stop all machinery. Trivia: Lowery and Gordon Jones who played the Green Hornet in a Serial, were both in the 1963 John Wayne movie McLintock! Adam West - Batman TV Series 1966-1968 - Age 37. Camp version of the Caped Crusader with famous actors playing villains and the debut of Batgirl played by Yvonne Craig. Michael Keaton - Batman Movie 1989 and Batman Returns 1993- Age 37. Stylistic sets and good performance by comic actor Keaton couldn't save the picture burdened by the way over the top performance by Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Kim Basinger is in the film to look pretty and to be in peril. Danny DeVito's performance as grotesque Penguin distracted from Michelle Pfeiffer's split personality Catwoman's appeal. Val Kilmer - Batman Forever 1995 - Age 35. More Camp and colorful but even the lovely Nicole Kidman couldn't save the picture from the spastic gyrations of Jim Carey's Riddler or the scenery crewing by Tommy Lee Jones. Chris O'Donnell's performance nearly as bland as Kilmer's, and the title of the movie seemed like a threat. George Clooney - Batman and Robin 1997 - Age 36. You can't blame Clooney by himself for killing the franchise. He had lots of help. Christian Bale - Batman Begins 2005, The Dark Knight 2008, and The Dark Knight Rises 2012 - The best of the Batman on Film due to the more realistic settings, abilities, and performances. Because it was a trilogy no room for expansion into a greater DC Universe. Source http://www.denofgeek.us/

Logan D. Hurricanes
Ok, I failed my EGO roll… Batman-Doctor Equivalencies Lewis Wilson - Batman Serial 1943 = William Hartnell. The first, the least well known, the hardest to find footage. Robert Lowery - Batman and Robin Serial 1947 - Age 36 = Patrick Troughton. Shabby look, companion focused, almost as poorly known as Wilson. Adam West - Batman TV Series 1966-1968 - Age 37 = Tom Baker. The defining actor in the role for many, especially casual fans. Also the campiest. Michael Keaton - Batman Movie 1989 and Batman Returns 1993 = Peter Davison. Very solid with a brand new style. The first one for a new generation, underappreciated until years later. Val Kilmer - Batman Forever 1995 = Colin Baker. Doomed from the casting. A new director trying to save a franchise from clueless producers. George Clooney - Batman and Robin 1997. Sylvester McCoy. Bad writing and bad direction killed the franchise. The actor can do so much better. Christian Bale - Batman Begins 2005 Trilogy = Christopher Eccleston. A fresh start after years off, with a new, rougher edge. The essential elements are all there, but with a completely different feel. Nobody knows what to really expect from this restart. Kevin Conroy – Batman: The Animated Series = David Tennant. His appearance made possible by someone else getting interest restarted, he took the character’s popularity to all new heights and the broadest audience yet. The favorite of many modern viewers despite being out of the role for years. Diedrich Bader – Batman: The Brave and the Bold = Matt Smith. The focus is on fun with wild and outrageous characters and situations. Strikes a strong chord with a new, younger audience. ... On to companions - Robin... Cygnia
That's what Batman needs! Replace Robin with Amy Pond! (Waits at a safe distance and watches to see Cygnia's head explode) She's already in Guardians of the Galaxy, for starters. And I like Karen Gillian. I just HATE Moffat as a writer.
