  1. Re: The cranky thread

It seems most of what ticks me off always originates from work.

So it was my birthday and it's just myself, my mom, my sister, my brother and his fiance and we're all together deciding what kinda pizza to order when suddenly my cell phone rings and it one of the assistant managers from work. Earlier in the day our store manager got fired and suddenly all these things need to done (various passwords and the safe combination needs to be changed) and since the other assistant manger lives about 45 minutes away I get the oh-so-fun pleasure of dropping everything to go in and help close the store. (I would like to point out that I'm not a manager, only a key holder) The schedule for next week gets reworked and I find myself giving up Sunday to work all day. Now originaly only our store manager was going to work on Sunday, that obviously is no longer the case. The assistant doing the schedule didn't seem all to anxious to give up his Sunday off or the the Sunday of the other assistant manager. What pisses me off is that I have a game on Sundays now and for the first two sessions I showed up late because of my schedule and I thought that I would finally show up on time for once. I know it can't be helped much but I can't help but feel like I'm being treated unfairly in this situation. In fact, with these two assistant managers I've been feeling like that for awhile now. I can't remember the last time I left on time and I find myself on the sales floor by myself quite frequently.

This Saturday I'm having some friends over for my new birthday tradition, where I invite friends over to watch soem giant robot anime and I tell you this: my cell phone will not be on at any time during that.

I really need to find a better job.

  2. Re: The Punisher vs Bugs Bunny

I'd have to give this one to Bugs. Mainly, for some reason, I suddenly started to picture the Punisher trying to kill Bugs with plastic explosives shapped like small woodland critters like Bill Murray in Caddyshack.

  3. Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender

Count me in as a fan of the show as well. I love the how each bending style is done as a type of martial art. If you going to use Hero for a Avatar campaign the bending styles could be done as possibly a VPP or multipower pool with variable FX

Now if you were planning on using Exalted, then you don't need to look any further than the Dragon-Blooded.

Thanks. Fortunetly Cartoon Network re-airs the previous episode of Naruto on Friday nights so I can getr caught up that way. Saddly IGPX isn't so I guess I'll have to wait for the repeat.

tkdguy, congrats on the test. I took Tae Kwon Do years ago when I was a kid and the belt tests weren't nearly anything like that. Of course it would be some years latter I could come to realize that it was a belt factory. They taught techniques and not much else. (i.e. they never explained the difference between a normal block and a knife hand block)

I got home from work tonight tired and still feeling worn out from working Black Friday and aside from going to bed the only other thing I want to do is watch this week's episodes of Naruto and IGPX (for those unfamiliar with IGPX, it's an anime made for specifically for Toonami. Think NASCAR with giant robots) which I had my VCR set up to record while I was at work. However I discover that my sister came into my room and basically F---ed up the whole thing so she could could watch f---ing Sixteen Candles!!! We have two other TVs with VCRs and she had to come into my room to watch a G-- D----ed f---ing teen angst movie!!!!!!!

I just needed to get that out. The past two days have been exhausting and those two shows where the only things I had to look forward to to help me relax.
