  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! Nice work, Storn. For which magazine is that a cover?
  2. Re: A Thread for Random Musings The first sunny day all week and I'm in the most 'blah' mood all week. Ain't that always the way?
  3. Re: Musings on Random Musings Nah, I just felt like putting my current listening here cuz it's such a cool remake and I was musing while listening to it. That and I felt like being contrary.
  4. Re: Your Favorite Fantasy Weapon? Yeah, me too. I knew there was a crossbow in there somewhere. I just couldn't remember where.
  5. Re: Musings on Random Musings Hey Good Lookin' - Kentucky Headhunters
  6. Re: WWYCD: "Dude, you stole my shtick!" Though I haven't used him of late, Ballistic has bounced from a down-and-out boxer (background) to superhero with super aim (Penalty skill levels, range mods, etc) to more street-level vigilante (cuz being an outright do-gooder wasn't getting the job done). Back in the spandex days he used everything from bows to custom handguns, depending on need and campaign. His most recent incarnation is kind of a cross between Bullseye and Punisher. His one consistant trait is that he's a hard drinkin', hard fighting man, borderline a-hole, and hates criminals with a passion. He's so much fun to play, too
  7. Re: Musings on Random Musings Dude!! That's my mom you're talkin' about!! And I really love that Yanni cd....
  8. Re: WWYCD: "Dude, you stole my shtick!" I read the initial post and immediately thought, "Who's the jerk who calls himself The Tick?!" It just made me chuckle. Anyway, Morningstar would probably give the guy a hard time publically for serious unoriginality, then go for legal action if he didn't stop with the blatant "Single White Female" act. Ballistic would do the same thing but much less public...and not the legal part. In fact, he's likely to shoot the guy. At least he'd wing him the first time. Repeat offenses require better aim. Magnum wouldn't know how to handle it and would likely just keep doing his thing until someone counseled him otherwise and/or it became a serious issue.
  9. Re: Your Favorite Fantasy Weapon? Late to the party, of course, but some of my faves: Excalibur Elb, the Heartbow Stormbringer Anduril Sting From AD&D, the magic hammer "Dwarven Thrower" (always a fondness for some reason) Just about any of the weapons from the old D&D cartoon. Those were tres cool.
  10. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? My dog goin' to town on a chew toy.
  11. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Wish I could've slept more during the night, but it's not like I have anything going on today that would preclude a nap.
  12. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread So was I, but I wasn't gonna stop and mention that bit of trivia to my girlfriend right then (wink wink nudge nudge)
  13. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. This thread sometimes goes for a couple of weeks without any new posts, depending on Storn's work schedule. Whenever I see inotifications for it I get all excited cuz that usually means new pic(s). Except this time
  14. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat Your luggage is more likely to check airport security than the other way around.
  15. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Just thought I'd wish everyone a good night and a pleasant tomorrow. I'm feeling very communal right now
  16. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Bloodletting, Concrete Blond
  17. Re: The Last Dominion Campaign Setting I bought mine, too, but haven't had a chance to sit and read. Basic perusal had me quite interested, though.
  18. Re: Musings on Random Musings Hey, that's really nice of you. I don't snore that loud--I mean, the neighbor down the block hasn't heard me yet. And my girlfriend only comes over three times a week, usually, and only rarely brings her three kids. Do you like dogs? You'll love mine. When she's not expelling noxious fumes, that is. It's not too bad, unless it's that four in the morning kind that wakes you up. But you get used to it. And I love cooking with hot oil and curry. I make a mean Limburger casserole, too, with just the right amount of rutabaga. Man, eating that while listening to Yanni is just the right kinda evening. So yeah, I'll see ya next week. The second truck won't arrive til the end of the month, though. My mom has a lot of stuff. Man, this is gonna be great!
  19. Re: A Thread for Random Musings It's official: I'm out of a job by May 3rd, but with a nice 11-week severence package. I really ought to be looking for a new job... ...but there's so many neat and interesting things on the NGD right now
  20. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Late In The Evening - Paul Simon
  21. Re: [help] Divine Magic Thank ya kindly, sir. I'll peruse shortly.
  22. Re: [help] Divine Magic I was just asking for context purposes. I'm always interested in what other folks have goin' on. If you want to post it I certainly wouldn't be opposed. If you don't think it appropriate for whatever reason, no biggie.
  23. Re: [help] Divine Magic Do you have a location for all your Fantasy Hero-related stuff yet or is this all still in the planning/creating stages?
  24. Re: [help] Divine Magic Wow...the idea that a god can affect change through his agent completely and totally without warning would keep me from becoming a priest or wanting one around me. That be scary $#!&, man.
  25. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Fire by The Garcia Brothers. They're friends, a great local band, who put out their own cd a few years ago. Had they gone to a major label they might be huge right now because they're just as good if not better than Los Lonely Boys (the closest approximation to their sound I can give). But it's a good cd.
