  1. Re: Combo Attacks? In the above, sample power, Frog and Chrono would get multiple attacker bonuses as well as Suprise Move unless it has been used before. Assuming both hit you would be looking at 3d6(x1d6-1 Stun) + 3d6(x1d6-1 Stun). Sample Roll Up: 4 + 1 + 1 x4. 6 BODY 24 STUN 3 + 4 + 5 x5. 12 BODY 60 STUN Target would take 84 STUN for purposes of determining stunning.
  2. Re: Combo Attacks? I had something of a problem with this myself. I was playing a character who can combine his powers to get new hooks on his powers. The solution is a VPP. Just, in this case, it needs Requires Multiple Users.
  3. Re: Knocking People On The Head. Alternatively, you could use: +2 with HTH, RSR(Stealth; -1/2) They could use it for a +2 OCV or a +1 DC.
  4. Re: Knocking People On The Head. +2d6 HtH, RSR(Stealth; -1/2)
  5. Re: Folding, Spindling and Mutliating Settings I'm either running in the same campaign setting as they have it or it is my own world. And I absolutely loath having anything similar to another campaign setting.
  6. Re: Chickens? Bah. This thread is foul.
  7. Re: I really hate when this happens!!! Well, if you want to discuss the economy, I recommend talking on the NGD about it. As far as buying Pulp gaming materials, it is going to be difficult for me. My credit just took a significant improvement and I'm highly debating using my new credit card to buy Pulp Hero (only if Hard Cover is on the online store).
  8. Re: Naked Power Advantage Complications [PG13+] I actually think that the Trigger, Charges combo will work well. It also means the player can expend XP to raise the active point cap on it and charges on it if she wishes it to get better. Plus it isn't as messy as an END Reserve. The player is a quasi-d20 convert so giving her complicated END Reserves to mess around with isn't worth it to me.
  9. Re: Announcing — HERO PLUS ADVENTURES! I miss writing short, one-shot Fantasy Adventures. Magus' Legacy was single handedly the best (and most lethal) fantasy adventure I ever wrote.
  10. Re: A funny thing happened on the way to the Dungeon...
  11. Re: Announcing — HERO PLUS ADVENTURES! Okay, so Steve Long is writing about 1 HPA a day. They sell at $3.00 a pop. Assuming that each HPA sells four copies on the first day and a 10% chance per day there after of selling another. Let me see... carry the one, subtract the seven, cross the t, dot the i. That's a LOT of money.
  12. Re: Naked Power Advantage Complications [PG13+] See, I figured because the power itself had to have charges, it had to be done in reverse by making the Naked Power Charges and putting Trigger as an Advantage on Charges. I guess it really isn't changing in that much making Trigger the main.
  13. Re: Naked Power Advantage Complications [PG13+] Is it really that simple? I figured with Charges being a limitation by default, you couldn't do that. But this would not change the spell itself to 0 Endurance cost.
  14. Re: Announcing — HERO PLUS ADVENTURES! When you consider it takes little time or effort for Steve to write, costs the company absolutely nothing to make, and you get exactly what you pay for, I think this is a great thing for Hero Games.
  15. Re: Naked Power Advantage Complications [PG13+] The power is meant to be as an extra ability. Spells in this campaign are simply 1 point Perks. This is a full fledged ability for the player to make their spells more useful. Also, the spell could be stored for an indefinite period of time before used. I was thinking their might be some way to do the Trigger and Charges together to form a power legal Naked Advantage. I just can't figure out how to do that. The powers don't natively have charges, but I have no problem putting a Charges limitation with the Trigger. I'm trying to keep this power skill as "rules legal" as possible.
  16. Re: pulp hero over opinions? Well if you consider your average pulp covers normally look like this: http://www.imagenetion.com/supercoll/pulpart3/pages/p-Pulp_Art_060_H_J_Ward.htm Or this: (Not Really all that Safe for Work) http://www.imagenetion.com/supercoll/pulpart3/pages/p-Pulp_Art_059_Margaret_Brundage.htm Or maybe this: http://www.photonetion1.com/pinot/pulpart1/pages/p-Pulp_Art_010_H_J_Ward.htm Or this: http://www.photonetion1.com/pinot/pulpart2/pages/p-Pulp_Art_032_Rafael_de_Soto.htm I think the art work is pretty good for the cover. It has action, adventure, and thrilling places all in the cover.
  17. Re: Mwah Hah Hah Hah Hah!!! Will Adventure for $50.00 that could hopefully be used to by Hard Cover Pulp Hero + Decorder Ring online.
  18. One of the players in my fantasy game has Tantric Magic. All of the player's spells come from bedside rituals. The player has several spells they want to take outside of the bedroom and into game. For example, Tantric Healing. There are multiple reasons for this, one being that you can't sleep with an unconscious person. And that and the spell itself takes an hour to cast. I'm using a Group Naked Advantage to represent this but there is a problem with getting this working properly. First, Trigger allows you to only setup a single one unless it has a Focus or Charges. The problem is, none of the Tantric spells in the game have Charges or Focus involved. The Naked Advantage would affect no power with great than 20 Active Points. The Naked Advantage will also have Limited Power(Doesn't Work on Any Tantric Spell that require sleeping with the Target; -1/4). Thanks in advance for you input.
  19. Re: Hero Book You might also contact who you ordered from. They sold you a damaged book and might be able to work something out for you.
  20. Re: Building "Eye of Thoth" (Kult Conversion) Ah, Kult. The roleplaying game that could be said helped me get my wife. The days of messed up roleplaying games gone past. Wasn't magic limited to certain types of people? You might want to throw that on there. But I haven't touched that game in a good 8 or 9 years now.
  21. Re: Hero Book Revised or Regular? Is it just the page numbering or something else? I've got both though and I flipped to 311 in both. One is Automatons, the other is Frameworks.
  22. Re: I really hate when this happens!!! I wish the best for you. I'm not buying the Pulp Dime Adventure thingies because right now it is more important that I have the money to buy Pulp Hero. Living, barely able to make ends meet is quite difficult.
