I found Pamela Anderson looks a bit overrated.  Or at least the girl who replaced her on Home Improvement was much more to my visual taste.

I've been considered old since I was a teenager, even had they gray hair in my late teens to prove it.
 
 
In any case, I am a historian of sorts, and prefer to live in the past (well in my mind, of course)

Well, we have 2 theaters in the county, and I was talking about the better one**.  I have gone to theaters in some nearby towns in my youth, that were better.  But, 2 counties over, well it seems hardly worth taking almost more time driving to the theater than watching the movie itself.
 
 
**Actually the "other" one probably was the better one (or at least cleaner one, if you were willing to wait an extra week to see it) back in the 80s, but it got run down pretty bad starting in the 90s.  Too bad they used to in my childhood show an old Disney movie a few Saturdays a year for the kids at low prices (heck in Nov/Dec for a can to go to the food drive)  saw a lot of classics for the first time.  (well, thinking on it most of those Saturdays were in the summer and Nov/Dec for Christmas time)

I've not gone to a movie theater since 1999, and dont plan to likely anytime soon.
 
(partly due to no movie I wanted to see that much (enough to go at least, the LOTR movies did tempt me admittedly), but also partly due to having the people who want to talk non-stop during the movie sit near me the last several times I went.  Also, while not a full-blown clean freak, the fact that I could probably still find the uncleaned soft drink stain I made while watching the animated Transformers movie as a kid, at my local theater does disturb me enough to not want to go, unless it was really worth my while)

One thing did bother me a little about the way they did the story.  The first couple of graphs are possibly a little misleading:  How many of the marriages are what they speak of vs. 18 year olds marrying their 16 year old girlfriends.  The latter while troublesome and damaging in their own right, is likely mutual youthful stupidity.  Rather than 14 year old forcefully coerced into marrying some 35 year old piece of sleaze.  I admit the 18/16 relationship makes me say "stupid kids" while 35/14 makes me say "someone should rip off that guy's _____"   (not to mention I want to beat parents who would coerce their daughters into such a marriage with a big tree branch)

disgust and hatred don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Please tell me you aren't including the DiCaprio one in those "good" Titanic films.

Evidently, they were showing Deep Impact on some channel.
 
The ending should have been:  Patrick Swayze's Point Break character going out to ride the asteroid-fueled tidal wave.
