  1. I just saw an eposide of the latest Batman animated series on Cartoon Network. The plot involved the scarecrow using a gas that made people immune to any kind of fear, and used it on Batman. Once he was gassed, he no longer had the fear of the conciquences of killing badguys. This just didn't seem right to me. The only reason he didn't off a few badguys is because Robin steped in to stop him. Was this just a crazy animated script, or is this mentality also shown in some Batman issues that I haven't read? 2. Cameras cameras cameras... it's always cameras. The guy that monitors the camera's got an eyelash in his eye at the right moment, and the media that the video is recorded on is old and worn out. Or maybe it happened in the mensroom... Mightybec
  3. Here’s another scenario. Your character recently captured his arch enemy, and he’s awaiting trial for his bloody rampage. Your character’s been assigned to watch him during his trial so he doesn’t escape. In order to restrain his great strength during the trial, a device attached to the back that constantly puts a muscle relaxant into his bloodstream. Secretly, the rich widow of one of your arch enemy’s victims has arranged for a deadly toxin to be placed in this device also, and it’ll be set off be a timer. While your character and the defendant are in a waiting room for the trial to start, the poison is triggered. One of the side effects of the poison is that ruptures small blood vessels near the skin, as it kills, and causes massive bruising and bleeding out of the orifices. Once activated, the poison leaves no trace. As he dies in pain, his screams alert the sheriff’s deputies outside the door. They rush in to see a bruised and bloodied corpse, and you. Immediately your character is suspected of murder. What would your character do? Mightybec
  4. Does anyone know of a place to find basic superhero art that can be used to draw our own characters? I basically need a proportional outline and limbs of a "fit guy" and a brick. Mightybec
  5. This is great stuff. I look forward to your updates. Mightybec
  6. Here's a creative project for tonight. Lets piece together an Area 51 for the Champions setting. What's in it? Who runs it? What is it's purpose? Here's my addition: One of the various research projects at Area 51 is geneticly altering intelligence agents. The goal is to have agents that look as though they are unaltered humans, but are acually much more dangerous. A few of the abilities that they are working on are... Increased Brain Mass: Eidetic Memory, Lightning Calculator, +10 Int 18pts No Pain: Damage Reduction 75%, Only Versus Stun (-1/2) 30pts Hardened Knuckles: 4d6 HA 20pts Feel free to add on your own ideas. 9. Re: You talking to me? Is that a gummi bear!? If it is then I'd add.. Does not age Inedible Entangle with a damage shield (very sticky)
  10. Here's the challenge. Write up hero stats for your avatar. Try 250pts w/ 100pts disadvantages first, then maybe a "maxed out" version. Mightybec
  11. Personally, I'd let the event happen, then make the PC suffer the consequences. I was DMing D&D game many moons ago, and a PC played by a guy that was a little crazy, and decided to kill a priest in the town. He had an evil amulet that caused a crack to open up and swallow whomever is over it. To make a long story short, the priest was swallowed by the broken earth, and his temple crumbled in after him. After he recovered from rolling on the floor laughing, his PC was then slaughtered by his companions, and then the body urinated upon. Needless to say, he never did that again. Mightybec
  12. Just curious if any of you Star Trek fans know how fast a Warp is, and if it's a linear exelleration (Warp 2 is twice as fast as Warp 1). Mightybec
  13. Ok, who's going to write the stats for the first country? Lets start off easy, and try Canada. Mightybec
  14. Re: The Secret of A.L.B.A.L.D.U. Do the Mouri's (sp?) still get the facial tattoo's chiseled into thier faces? Mightybec
  15. Here's the beginning of a story that I'm working on. The large doors of the Metropolitan Museum were thrown open with enough force to tear one of them off the wall. The crumpled body of Dr Helens was thrown out the entrance, and landed on one of the many patrol cars surrounding the museum, shattering the windshield and denting the hood. From the broken opening emerged the eight foot tall form of Erik Wagner, better known as Moose. He glared at the officers taking cover behind their cars and shouted, “If yous guys don’t get us da money soon, then his wife’ll be next!†His large, muscular form turned and walked back into the museum. “I had a clean shot at him sarge. Why didn’t you give the order to fire?!†the rookie Jones asked. “Jonesy, that guy’s skin is as tough as leather. If you shot him with your Glock, you’d just piss him off, and I guarantee that we don’t want that to happen until the ST Unit gets here.†Sarge turned his head and looked up at a familiar object flying towards them. “Maybe we won’t have to wait for the STU after allâ€, said Sarge. The caped form of Captain Stupendous descended from the sky and landed next to Sarge and Jones. A flock of news reporters raced over to the captain, sensing a great story was about to happen. “What’s the situation here officer?†asked the Captain as he smiled for the cameras. “Slasher and Moose are in there with a bunch of hostages. Maybe as many as twenty. They’ve killed one, and if we don’t transfer 30 Million into their foreign account by noon, they’re going to kill another hostage.†Four rooftops away, a rifle is carefully sighted at the Captain. Captain Stupendous smiles and sticks out this chest for the news cameras and says, “I don’t think that this’ll be too much trouble.†A .50 caliber round with a depleted uranium core is slowly pulled from a pouch, and loaded into the rifle. The captain clears his throat and in his best theatrical voice proclaims, “I will bring these villains to justice and restore peace to the city!†The crosshairs of the sniper rifles scope are carefully placed over Captain Sutpendous’s ear. The soft click of the safety being switched of can be heard. Inhale. Exhale. Hold. “Are you sure that there’s only two of them?â€, the Captain questions. BOOM! The hardened projectile zips through the air and slams into the Captain’s ear canal. He screams in pain and collapses to the ground, blood slowly flowing from the wound. The officers dive behind their cars for cover as the crowd panics. The sound of screeching tires can be heard as an large grey van takes the street corner at a high speed. As it crashes through a police barricade, riot gas canisters are dispensed from a roof mounted launcher. The area is shortly filled with thick, noxious fumes. As the van screeches to a halt in front of the museum opening, Moose, and the knife wielding maniac called Slasher race towards the van’s open door. Once inside, the van races down the street, and is soon out of site. Four rooftops away, an assassin quietly slips away into the shadows. Mightybec
  16. In the Fresno area, we'd have... The Mad Dairyman: He drinks, he smells, and if you have the wrong answer to "Got Milk?" you get a seroius beating. The Dirty Hippie: They stand around, tell you you're wrong and uncaring, then drive home in thier volvo to thier two story house and watch sports on a big screen tv, while sitting on a $2500 sofa. 17. I've recently added the following to my original document... Zombie Trooper: 20 STR, 15 DEX, 10 CON, 10 BODY, 10 INT, 10 EGO, 20 PRE, 5 COM 4 PD, 2 ED, 2 DEX, 6 REC, 20 END Takes no stun 45pts Immunity all poisons and diseases, doesn’t breathe, doesn’t breathe, doesn’t sleep 36pts Rifle – 2d6+1 RKA, +1 OCV, 8 shots, real weapon, 14pts Options: +15 STR +7 Body, +1 STR All 15pts +5 DEX These are former German soldiers that were killed in combat, then brought back to life by Deiterich Von Bacher, Chief Necromancer for the Third Reich. They are capable of limited independent thought, and react very well in the battlefield environment. Russia: Places of Interest: Siberian Research Facility: This facility is located near the site where a starship fell to earth in 1908. The Talecian vessel, damaged from a munitions accident, fell to earth. It jettisoned it’s antimatter reactor ten miles before impact, resulting in a huge explosion. The survivors lived for a few weeks, but our nitrogen rich atmosphere slowly poisoned them. Due to the distance between the crash site and the explosion, the wreckage was only discovered in 1934. Only a small amount of alien technology remained intact. Recently, scientists have begun to hook up a modified power supply for the ship. Once this is done, they will have unknowingly activated the ships emergency beacon, notifying the Telecians of the location of the damaged vessel. Working alien artifacts include 24 energy rifles, 1 armed hovercar (limited fuel cells), and two recon probes. Spear of Destiny: This item is currently in Hitler’s possession at the Eagles Nest. Stats: 2d6 KA, Penetrating, Healing 1d6 (Regeneration) only when held, Real Weapon, When the current owner looses the item, he receives 4d6 of Unluck as a disadvantage. Mightybec
  18. Here's another one for ya. A flaming elemental brick hero is being forced to rampage in the city as a diversion to a villian team breaking into the local diamond market. His family is being held hostage and will die if he doesn't cause blatant destruction in the city for 15 minutes, as planned. He won't tell the heroes why he's doing this, and he doesn't know what crime the villians have planned. Due to his partial elemental nature, he has a very high mental defense. What would your hero do? Mightybec
  19. OK, time to build the ultimate Weapon of Mass Destruction. Design a bomb that destroys everything in a 1/4 mile radius, and extending out to a five mile radius... Puts suger in your gas tank Kicks your dog Dates your teenage daughter Leaves an empty toilet paper roll in place Throws your newspaper in a puddle and hides your remote controls. Mightybec
  20. It's always fun to see the first few characters that people make.. Player 1 "I'll track him through the alleyway" GM "Do you have any kind of tracking skill or power" Player 1 "Ummm... Nope. I'll get (Player 2)'s guy to chase him down" GM "Do you have a communications link with him, cell phone, walkie talkie?" Player 1 "Umm...Nope" GM "What do you have" Player 1 " A huge gun, a magic sword, and body armor...":D Mightybec
  21. Each country also has low level Superheroes also (Speedster, brick, ect). Sorry for leaving this out. It was late when I posted it last night. Mightybec
  22. I'm working on a Supernatural/Superhero in WWII setting. Each of the major powers will have a certain type of supernatural units assigned to them. Here's what I got so far. All: Low Level Superheroes US: Tribal Werewolves Germany: Zombie and Zombie constructs, Necromancers Japan: Oni, Elemental Dragons Does anyone have suggestions for UK:? Russia:? Italy:? Thanks, Mightybec
  23. Thanks, I'll use the first option. I picture them as the "Universal Soldier" type. They'd have limited independant thought and function superbly in battle, but not be able to do much in the common world. Mightybec
  24. I'm trying to build some zombie soldiers, and I'm stuck on something. How do I build them so the're very resistent to PRE attacks, but don't have more than 20PRE themselves? Would Mental Defense work for this? Mightybec
  25. My first character had a 12d6 HA and a 35 STR. While on patrol, I came across a thug robbing an old lady. I ran up to him and said to the GM "I hit him with everything that I've got" After a bunch of rolled sixes for damage, the GM calculated that the thug was dead before he broke his back around the light post acroos the street. Needless to say, the old lady that was covered in blood and body organs, ran away screaming. Mightybec
