  1. Turbo Laser Tony Lazzerini always had impulse control problems he grew up in Jersey city committing petty crimes he got into street racing to fund it he started stealing cars loved going fast. He was reckless and impulsive during a high speed chase he drove to hard and plunged into the toxic waste storage tank of a chemical plant. When he pulled himself out of the burning ooze he found he was unharmed. Tony now has powers and is even more impulsive than before he is a fairly standard flying energy projector able to fly at high speed and fire bolts of red energy from both hands. Tony is in it for the thrills the money and the villain groupies. As long as he gets a chance for fun he will follow orders but if he gets the opportunity to chase/race another flyer or speedster through the urban canyons he will drop his actual mission to do that. The team tends to give him that as a job to avoid him going off plan.
  2. Sterica great minds I was going to suggest a sartorially gifted Mauy Thai practitioner Who cross Trained In Hojōjutsu To Entangle Bind And Tie People With His Tie.
  3. I just listened to ACK ACK Macquace Which is a weird Combo of Cyberpunk Postsingularity Scifi Set on an alternate earth with Giant atomic Zepplins. The Eponymous ACK ACK Macquace is the hero of a video game A One Eyed Cigar Chomping Twin Colt Weilding Fighter Ace Battling Nazi Ninjas And foo Fighters In A Battle Of Britiain That Never Ends. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13547332-ack-ack-macaque It sounds silly but actually is a very deep story

  5. @@ @@ or AT-AT, Albert Taylor has the power of bilocation, he is able to be in two places at once he can manifest his duplicate which he calls Bert anywhere he can see. Bert acts as a teleporter for the team disappearing and reappearing seemingly at random . meanwhile Al acts as the lookout keeping an eye out for the authorities from a good vantage point. As Al and Bert are really the same person they share a perfect mental link so he can instantly communicate what he sees to the team. Albert has put a lot of effort into developing his tactical sense because of his role and is now an avid wargamer and RTS player.
  6. Oops thought that was 4 In honor of rogue ones imminent release The Dark Side Pick a piece of starwars imperial equipment and build a villain based on its name 7 members.

  8. I have the Nerf Zombie Slingfire which is a lever action with a box mag that might suit you zero point. Thee downside is it only has a 6 round magg but now they're offering it with a 21 round drum. http://nerf.hasbro.com/en-us/product/nerf-zombie-strike-slingfire-blaster:007573DF-5056-9047-F5EF-E3201C025036
  9. Thermostat Claude Freud Jr's father was a superhero called FREEZER-BURN with the power to absorb heat to instantly freeze an object and then release searing blasts of heat. Claude inherited his power but unlike his father his power was slow his father could create a cubic meter of ice in moments and then direct the heat away. Claude would take minutes on the other hand he could store more energy. Claude is now Thermostat if you need to protect seniors from heat stroke or keep survivors warm in a blizzard, create an ice barrier to stop an oil spill or cool down an overheating factory he's your man. Edit I was actually curious and went back and did the maths on this it's lucky thermostat didn't get his father's speed because he can literally absorb kilotonnes of energy. His dad was able to absorb around 100 megaa joules off energy nearly instantly and thus release an energy burst equivalent to 25 kilos of TNT or a little over 25kwh of electricity. Thermostat could release blasts in the kilotonne range if he could release it all at once so it's good job he can't.
  10. OK reading this thread is making me picture a nerfgun with teeth. Something like a Nerf Masterdon https://youtu.be/af91FUgY3WU But firing something like the Darpa exacto .50 self guided bullet. https://youtu.be/TnluzkfPsrg
  11. The millennial Theo Sands is 16 years old and was born famous for all the wrong reasons. he was conceived in a cult compound. his mother was impregnated by the cults ancient master on the stroke of midnight 1999. The old man died of a heart attack at completion ofthe act. the rest of the cult took that as a sign and went out in a terrible orgy of murder and suicide leaving theo’s mother the sole living member. she was traumatized and committed to a high security mental facility. Theo grew up with his wealthy grandparents in California. Theo was always a little odd he talked about his imaginary friend an old man in amazing robes and he always seemed to know things a child of his age shouldn't he asked the usual kid questions but to the air and after listening for a while he would say oh that makes sense. His grandparents were worried and sent him to the best child psychologists initially they diagnosed him with a variety of trauma related conditions but seemingly overnight he seemed to improve soon he was the very model of mental health. When he went to school he was disruptive because he found the classes boring able to answer all the teachers questions and actually give more complete answers than asked for at first he was entered into an accelerated learning program before his grandparents hired a tutor and had him home schooled. by 12 he was doing his first online undergrad degree in ancient history. at 14 he was at caltech doing another undergraduate degree in computer science for the first time in his life he struggled but his arrogant attitude and confidence in his own superiority carried him through. at 15 his he sold the film rights to his first bestselling novel about an immortal genius solving unsolvable mysteries from ancient Egypt to modern New York. He was now a millionaire in his own right. Now at 16 he travels the world visiting the best restaurants a attending the best cultural events and being linked to the world's most beautiful teenage celebrities. Somehow he's still found time to conduct an archeological dig that uncovered previously lost Egyptian temple complex launch an Internet start-up publish another novel a popular science book and a scholarly treatise on the book of the dead. All this hides Theo’s secret his imaginary friend never left and was very real. Five millennia before a priest of the Egyptian God of wisdom and magic Thoth was growing old and bitter at the thought he would never have time to learn a fraction of what was to be learned. He formed a pact his descendants would have extended lifespans each living for 1000 years and his consciousness would exist passed down from one generation to the next. The ancient consciousness that is bonded to him has seen the rise and fall of civilizations the birth of every science and learned every mystical tradition. Theo is still developing his skills but is already a competent magician and martial artist he commits crime for the thrills and to acquire secrets and mystical artifacts. He wears a costume based on the vestments of a priest of Thoth and a full face golden mask seemingly without eye holes.
  12. I have a character the white chaplain (the military chaplain for a super soldier program experienced a total morality inversion when exposed to an unstable mix of the serum now a crime boss with a fixation on religious iconography). The white chaplain is a burst speedster able to move with superhuman speed in short bursts. Basically he has 12 spd but his extra spd costs END every phase so he can deliver a terrifying hurricane of violence one turn but will spend the next pretty much immobile catching his breath. He's absolutely terrifying to groups of agents and if he gets a chance can totally devastate a hero team. Usually his minions will soften them up so he can then best them in a single explosive burst of violence. He's partly based on Christian Bale's Grammaton cleric from equilibrium down too the all white suits/vestments. thee main diffrence is he Prefers straight razors to handguns. https://youtu.be/-vSp1369jAE
  13. Homerun Wrigley Shea loves baseball from the time he was able to play all he wanted was to go pro. T-BALL then little League he was doing great until one game shortly after his 13th birthday he was running hard rounding 3rd base after a good hit but he saw one of the outfielders tossing the ball towards the catcher he wasn't going to make it. His mind raced he wished with all his strength to get back to home plate and just like that he was standing safe on the plate as the ball landed on the catcher's mitt. That was the end of Wrigley's dream super powers where prohibited in the MLB. which sacked for Wrigley as his only power is to Teleport instantly to a single place he's already been. Wrigley has found a new calling delivering organs for transplant he has to travel normally to the location but he can arrive back with the recipient instantly. During disasters helps extract the worst injured civilians, he can carry a person direct to the ER he just has to drive back again. He also Delivering captured criminals to jail and is great for pizza runs.
  14. Inspired by the high gravity knock back thread. Moon girl Edwina Aldrin was always interested in science and especially space like her name sake Edwin “buzz” Aldrin. she was not the best student in school. She was bitterly disappointed when she discovered she just couldn't grok advanced calculus. but she persevered found what she was good at and eventually got her dream job as the office manager for a team at the jet propulsion lab at NASA. Everything was going great until while working late trying to organize a key part for the experimental gravity drive her department was experimenting with a power surge triggered the device and changed her personal gravitational field. Edwina and everything she touches now experiences gravity as if on the moon. Though lousy in a superfight as she is no tougher or more coordinated than before the accident her powers let her excel at search and rescue or disaster relief and recovery. Her ability allows her to easily pick up large debris venture into unstable structures safe in the knowledge that she weighs a fraction of her true mass. She can leap to and from great heights. Unfortunately for Edwina who was already a little hefty before the accident she didn't get the instant makeover so many supers get. Now with the difficulty of exercising when your weight and that of anything you lift is a sixth of normal she has found it hard to keep fit. Despite regular cardio sessions she has put on weight and the more unfair media suggest her name is the because of her shape not her powers. She still loves her new job but could do without the type of guys who try to hit on her.
  15. Yeah old man I feel like that lower needs a Tac-Sac. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/11/08/sack-tac-sac-picatinny-mountable-scrotum/
  16. If your doing dual stage anyway why not just chuck em. no moving parts easier to control your own motion you could even launch multiple projectiles at once. Something like mini javalins with chemical thrusters for terminal guidance. Heck you could even use them for melee, spikes are good for space suit combat as it's easier to puncture than slash.
  17. I'm also wondering about the physics of using something like a pitching machine in space without air resistance you'd get a very dangerous projectile but I wonder how the recoil and gyroscopic effects of two spinning flywheels would work in zero G. Is now picturing a lunar technical moon buggy with an astronaut hanging off the back firing one of these loaded with rods of solar fused regolith http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/11/28/home-made-m2-nerf-machine-gun/
  18. I wonder if an air pistol would be a better weapon for space combat. no heat build up, easy to make recoil less by ejecting an equal amount of gas rearward, no release of toxic chemicals in a closed system and it's easy to tailor the payload to the job soft and squishy for non lethal use. small sharp buckshot (ideally hollow to allow the air out for vacuum combat to maximize suit damage. steel penetrators for anti vehicular work. I guess the downside would be a build up of dry ice etc in the bore and the cloud of ice crystals from firing.
  19. Yes you could build it today but I will Ment that a props guy for a sci-fi movie would slap some LEDs on it and call it good like the P90 and the Tavor. http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/FN_P90 http://www.syfy.com/sites/syfy/files/styles/syfy_image_gallery_full_breakpoints_theme_syfy_smartphone_1x/public/2016/07/Killjoys_gallery_203Recap_10.jpg?itok=XviRKoz6
  20. I doubt it actually had a wide release I'm sure it made it's money back with DVD and broadcast sales. Much like the writers next super hero movie Super only made $400k box office but was the studios biggest video on demand release and of course his most recent Super hero movie was another cult classic guardians of the galaxy that only made $773 million lol.
  21. The alternative is give him a 50s raygun. If anyone asks he got it on an job in new Mexico for Howard Hughes lol
  22. OK recluse was strangely prescient can I propose a Cuban team next.
  23. RECLUSE Natalia Romero was a promising gymnast In the Cuban Olympic team she was training to compete In the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. In 1962 during a training exchange in Russia she suffered a severe fall which left her crippled. She would never compete again while Natalia was convalescencing in Moscow the world came as close as it ever would to nuclear annihilation with the Cuban missile crisis. Perhaps to make it up to fidel and the Cuban communist party. Natalia was recruited by the KGB and put through a series of chemical mental and physical programs that not only restored her natural ability but enhanced it the Russian red room produced some of the most dangerous agents in the world and Natalia was a gift to Cuba. Over the next 30 years she would be involved in some of the greatest intelligence coups of the cold war but always returning to a life of isolation and solitude between operations thus earning the codename THE RECLUSE. In 1993 following the collapse of the soviet Union and with Fidel Castros health deteriorating the recluse now in her 50s infiltrated a secure storage site in Nevada in an attempt to steal a long lost piece of ww2 hardware a device that generated a modulated electromagnetic ray that triggered cellular regeneration and could even reverse aging miss filed after a nazi spy killed the lead scientist. Natalia succeeded in locating it and would have returned to Cuba a hero if not for an unexpected security drill caught off guard Natalia ended up I was a fire fight she probably would have been captured if not for a stray shot causing the device to explode she escaped the resulting blast only to find herself de-aged back to her 20 year old prime. Natalia s final mission was too Australia to acquire the Iron rangers technology the ability to turn in embargoed farming equipment into unstoppable war machines appealed to the Cuban central committee. Whilst attempting to infiltrate Edward Kelly's company Natalia had a crisis of faith seeing the good that the company was doing she decided to defect. Now she is the Australian avengers covert ops specialist wearing a brown body suit that lets her blend with the outback she protects her adopted home and works to try and get her old home back into the free world once more. She still spends her free time alone wandering into the vast emptiness at the heart of Australia or exploring the most uninhabited areas of the coast.
