  1. Re: Stunning the target without damaging it Hyper-Man! Clever! I must use that. If you Suppress CON and STUN at the same time, do you check for being stunned before reducing the CON because the CON is a defence? Cheers
  2. Re: Cursed Items That's a nice idea.
  3. Re: catch Heroes! Thank you for the ideas. This is just a dodge ball game. I like the Block + DEX roll idea. It's simple so the game will be fast, like dodge ball. It covers fumlbing the catch and being an easier target when you try to catch. You cannot catch and Dodge. Cheers
  4. Heroes! You are playing dodge ball, and someone throws a ball at you. What are the mechanics for catching? Cheers
  5. Re: Programmable memories It's Asaka Yui of Sukeban Deka III.
  6. Re: Why must humans rule? Fenris Ulf! You can treat humans as one country in a world with many. In my current campaign, one of the dwarf kingdoms has a caste system of dwarfs and humans. Dwarfs are nobles, knights, merchants, smiths, mages, etc. Humans are hired labour for farming, fishing, serving, etc. Cheers
  7. Re: Japanese mastervillain/hero team aid requested. Taiyou No Bushi OR Hi No Bushi. But they sound odd. I like Tasogare Bushi (Sunset Samurai). A friend suggested Atsuki No Bushi (Samurai Of Heat).
  8. Re: Japanese mastervillain/hero team aid requested. Enforcer84! Here are a few more. Joubachi: Queen Bee. She has power armour with flight and poison weapons. She can talk with bees and commands a swarm. She is arrogant and gets angry if not treated like a queen. She likes to be called Denka Joubachi Sama (Her Royal Highness Lady Queen Bee) and gets angry if called just Joubachi. As a joke, you can have her forget how to speak human speech. She just says, “Bun bu bun bun bu bun.†And her swarm forms into words for people to read. If you want her to be more powerful, make her swarm Suzumebachi (killer wasps) which kill with 4 stings and are common in Japan. You can also give her other insect image supervillain henchmen. Namahage: Namahage is a demon from Akita prefecture, but they go around collecting bad children to eat them. The character is a vigilante who hunts anyone bad, even if they are not villains. Onryou: Angry Ghost. Mamushi: Viper Beni Sasori: Crimson Scorpion Satori: Satori is a faerie that can read a target's mind as fast as the target thinks. Thus, you can't ever hurt it because it knows your actions before you can act. But the Satori isn't stupid. It usually attacks a target only when it's alone, and it will detect the thoughts of anyone who comes near. Yuki-onna: Snow Woman. A faerie who creates snow and ice. Ichiroku: The name comes from Ichiroku Shoubu (1-6 Challenge) which means gambling. Ichiroku is actually a spy hero I made. He can see the future only in terms of guessing right from a list of choices: cards, roulette, doors, etc. But he could be an interesting villain. Cheers
  9. Re: Japanese mastervillain/hero team aid requested. Enforcer84! Here is a villain gang called Ryuuguu Kaijin (Sea Dragon Palace Mystery Men). You can make them techno-powered human, magic powered, or mutants. They can work for the Yakuza or you can make Kairyuu or Unibaba the leader. The descriptions are minimal, so add anything you like. Samera: Same is Shark, and I added Ra to make it sound like Godzilla and Gamera. Samera is both a speedster and razor sharp brick. He has targeting smell too. But he is weak in mental areas and easily goes berserk. Unibaba: Uni is Sea Urchin and Baba is Old Woman, but it sounds like Onibaba, a famous fairy tale villain Demon Grandmother. Unibaba’s body is covered with needles like a sea urchin, and she has good armour. Kairyuu: Written as Sea Dragon but pronounced the same as Sea Current. Aside from a dragon image, he can TK vast amounts of water, and use them to drown people. Happou: 8 ways, all directions, and pronounced the same as the word Fire (a gun). An octopus image martial artist. He can camouflage, climb walls, spit a cloud of darkness, and squeeze through pipes, cracks, etc. He has only 2 arms, but he can move them so fast that they look and act like 8; or you can really give him 8. Fugu: Globefish. He has lots of Growth, and his blood is poisonous. He has to hold his breath to stay grown. With few powers, you can give him lots of skills, perks, etc. Kurage: Jellyfish. A sniper who uses poisons. She has slow flight and her body is transparent giving her Invisibility with a Fringe. Cheers
  10. Re: Japanese mastervillain/hero team aid requested. Happy to hear you like them. I as in pizza and E as in grey. It's 2 syllables: Me + K. Cheers
  11. Re: Japanese mastervillain/hero team aid requested. Enforcer84! gadgeteer/sorceress twins: Nandemoya and Yorozuya. Both mean Jack Of All Trades, but the first is a new word while the second is an old word. cat girl: Mike (3 colours, a calico cat). Mike neko are lucky and cute. cat girl: A cat that can change into human shape is called Nekomata, Bakeneko, or Karaneko. Cheers
  12. Re: Japanese mastervillain/hero team aid requested. Kaede = maple tree Rin = bell Rin = corolla Doraemon is a famous comic and TV character. If you do a serach on his name you can find many pages in English about him. The suggestion was a joke. A better name might be Nandemoya (Jack Of All Trades) Cheers
  13. Re: Japanese mastervillain/hero team aid requested. Enforcer84! I have one team name idea: Anzenchitai. It means Safe Zone, but 'tai' written with a different character means Team. Anzenchitai is also the name of a band I like. Dragon of the Stars: Seiryuu. Another idea is Ryuusei which means Dragonstar but also has the same pronunciation as the word for ‘comet’. Raijin is the lightning god and he has a partner Fuujin the wind god. Samurai: How about Kamakiri (mantis) because he uses two swords. Or Kamaitachi, a stoat with razor claws. A female ninja is called ‘kunoichi’ and usually kunoichi had names related to nature. If you have a preference, I can translate it. Here are a few examples: Kikyou, Kaede, Rin, Izayoi, Sumire, Kodama, Ran, Sayuri, Kiku, Yuki, Ayame, Yuri, etc. Cricket is Koorogi but it doesn’t sound feminine. Gadgeteer: How about Doraemon? (Do you know Doraemon?) I’ll keep thinking, but if you get any more ideas tell me. Can you give any more descriptive details about the characters? Cheers
  14. Re: Fade Rate OR Recovery Heroes! Thank you all for the input. I had heard about the idea, and I was wondering if it made the game better. Cheers
  15. Re: Oops... Dust Raven! I think UMA covers this in some detail? Cheers
  16. Re: Fade Rate OR Recovery Nnnnn... split decision. I trust Archer and Zornwill's experience that it's ok, but I also agree with Lord Liaden's and Dust Raven's reasons not to use it. In superheroic campaigns players who want a faster fade rate can buy Regeneration. But 90% of what I play is Fantasy where REC higher than 10 is very rare. Do you think it would be ok? Cheers
  17. Heroes! Someone once suggested recovering REC per turn from Adjustment Powers instead of 5 AP. What do you think? Cheers
  18. Re: Plot device or by the rules I'm behind Zornwill and Dust Raven. I use Mechanics only when I need them. Cheers
  19. Re: Big City... what rules? GM question JLXC: In my cities, citizens help keep the peace, usually:). People who cannot help, fetch help. Cheers
  20. Re: Where are all the fan-created scenarios? Fitz: Is this any good? http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3046 Cheers
  21. Re: Is It Worth The Points? Dust Raven: Even if something isn’t used, I don’t feel it’s wasted if it’s part of the character concept I want. If a player thinks something is wasted, I give it attention. Sometimes I let players sell back things, but it’s case by case. It's better to find these things before the campaign starts. Cheers
  22. Re: Based On INT Dust Raven: I mean a Mental Power that uses INT the same way a Mental Power Based On CON uses CON: it uses ECV and Mental Defence but applies against INT and uses INT rolls to break out. Quick thinking and perception help, not a strong will. Though this is my first time getting advice directly from you, I've often been helped by your advice in other threads. Cheers
