  2. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Play My Game - The Donnas
  3. Re: Jokes On a related note, am I the only one who finds it ironic that the Center for Internet Addication Recovery has a web-site with a mailing list, a blog, and a podcast? Isn't that like holding an AA meeting in the local pub and having a few beers while you're there? http://www.netaddiction.com
  4. Re: 25th Anniversary Winding Down Just ordered C25. I hope I'm in time. :fingerscrossed:
  5. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? You, sir, have been repped, just because... If It Makes You Happy by Sheryl Crow.

  9. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? And here I thought I was the only one who liked Garbage. I'm currently listening to You Look So Fine from "Version 2.0." And queued up in a little while is Temptation Waits from the same album. I love Party Shuffle.
  10. Re: Plot Seed: Six Places to Nuke When You’re Serious Fort Knox gets the reputation for having a lot of gold stored in a massive vault, but the largest deposit of gold bullion in the world is actually at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The gold held there is actually owned by countries other than the US, so attacking there wouldn't hurt us as much as an attack at Fort Knox (which would be a kick in the nads to the US), but it would throw the global economy into chaos. Watch Die Hard with a Vengeance with Bruce Willis for an idea of what I'm talking about. SOURCE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Reserve_Bank_of_New_York, accessed 8/14/06
  11. Re: Miami Vice Not trying to be snotty, but... Michael Mann created Miami Vice, wrote the pilot movie, and when the show got picked up by NBC, he became the executive producer and one of the principal writers of the series. So saying that Mann is "involved" with Miami Vice is kinda like saying that the President is "involved" with the government. No, I'm not a MV geek. And, YES, I'm eagerly anticipating the movie...
  12. Re: What fundamental things did they really get "right"? Amen, brother... amen. Preach on about the game system that rose from the grave! All hail Hero! I'll take my meds now.

  17. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Could the Gorillaz be more than a gimmick band? Recently, at a show at the Apollo Theater in NYC, they experienced technical problems with the projectors, forcing them to do the concert without visuals. According to one source, they got a standing ovation after the show. Interesting...
  18. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Tiny Dancer by some guy named Elton John.
  19. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Carry On (Wayward Son) by Kansas.
  20. Re: DC's Best Martial Artist How long ago was that? As other people have pointed out, Batman in Year One had a hard time putting down GCPD SWAT, now takes down whole elite squads without raising much of a sweat. Has Bronze Tiger improved that much? I don't think he has. Also, this list is not static (note that Black Canary has moved up on my list). I stand by it until I see evidence otherwise that Batman, as he is currently written, is any better (or worse) than Bronze Tiger.
  21. Re: DC's Best Martial Artist Here's my list: Richard Dragon Shiva Cassandra Cain Connor Hawke Batman Nightwing Black Canary (moved up from #10 recently due to training by Shiva) Cain (Batgirl's father) Bronze Tiger Robin That was fun! Let's do it again!
  22. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Ah, memories.
  23. Re: The Montauk Project Great stuff, Michael. I live about sixty miles or so away from Camp Hero. It is now open to the public (since 2002). One of my friends actually met Preston Nichols (or went to a presentation he did, not sure which). He told me that the guy is a total nutbar. But The Montauk Project is great, imaginative stuff. You've been repped. .
  24. Re: Character: Mary Mallon (Typhoid Mary) I think I might even give her a couple of more points of Ego, as well. She was an incredibly strong woman, who defied health officials for for quite some time before finally being convinced (by force) to be quarantined at North Brother Island.
  25. Re: How HERO helped me at work! You don't know how useful I find it to use my best Darth Vader imitation in my job. "You have failed me for the last time, Admiral. Captain Piett... You are in command now, Admiral Piett." In fact, I'm thinking of being Darth Vader for Halloween. I'm even thinking of including a couple of speakers playing the Imperial March. (Dang, now I want to watch The Empire Strikes Back, but it's getting too late)
