A sucking chest wound is the villain's way of telling you to slow down; until your healing factor kicks in.

.....I could talk about some of my own paramours, current and former, but it would

    1. be off topic
    2. almost certainly offend people
    3. violate the Terms of Use I'm sure
    4. now I think of it, reveal more about me and mine than is anyone's business here....

so let's stick with Jrska, and 3, and Inkubus, and other fictional libertines whose erotic adventures may not be as deviant as some of our real experiences but are much, much safer to talk about

edit: unless we take the conversation privately elsewhere....

If the villains just want to capture you, they'll be 10x as accurate as when trying to kill you.

Superheroes and even supervillains would never work for the IRS in their secret or super identities.

This isn't D&D; NPCs are not villain fodder.

Not from the game itself, but from a hypothetical situation ...

"You know, it's disturbingly easy to imagine some members of the Legion of Doom bashing down the door to a hero's HQ, levelling their weapons or powers or whatever at them, then calmly intoning, 'We're on a mission from Grodd'."

I think the best I have seen was a group playing Teenage Supers with a coupld of players who had played Hero System for as long as it had been out.

The two "Experienced" players go after a group of "Normal" Bank robbers in a car. The flying brick states "I'm going to fly down grab the back bumper and the rear tire well and lift the rear axle off the ground" fumbles his rolls, and fumbles his breakfall rolls while impacting with the ground.

Meanwhile the other "Experienced" player states "I'm throwing my shield into the left front tire to lock it up" not realizing the dynamics of how a car would turn once that tire locked up. Makes the throw, tire locks up, car skids sideways, player fumbles his combat driving roll, then fumbles breakfall roll.

Both Super "Experienced" players get up looking like road pizza, look at the teens and state in stereo "And if we ever see you do this, you'll be off this team so fast your head will swim"

    Firewing: Teach Us, Master!

Firewing finds himself sought out by a growing group of young, post-Iron Age supers - not as a foe, but as a mentor. After all, he's very powerful and charismatic, (sort of) honourable and not compromised by political bias or outmoded cultural thinking, and misunderstood adolescents identify with him; emerging wannabe-superwarriors consider him a better role model than the so-called heroes, and they implore him to help train them to be worthy warriors in the mold of the Malvan gladiatorial tradition. They've even built a hidden arena/training facility. How will Ariax Thone react to a mob of naive, battle-eager kids who idolize him? If he agrees to teach them about honour, victory and the tactics of single combat, will he end up unleashing a plague of Malvan-trained supervillains - or will teaching others teach him something about himself? Best used in Teen Champions campaigns.

Superhero team, narrowing the search for the villains, anticipating battle.

Our Leader, half in character, half out of character: "Let's keep the damage down to one city block this time, eh?"

Chuckles all around. I tentatively raise my hand, speaking for my super-strong character.

    "Yes?"

"Is that one city block for the whole team, or a city block each?"

These are all from tonight's Champions game:

"Somewhere, the laws of physics are getting bent over in a most improper fashion."

    -----

"It would be rude to just go up to someone and start petting them."

    -----

"Most peoples' minds don't have card catalogs."

    -----

"Did someone use the doom ray to dig a bar-b-q pit...again?"

    -----

"Well, if that other me is anything like me, then like me, it's likely that I...that she...you know, we really need a new vocabulary for this time-travel stuff."

    -----

"Sometimes, it's better not to ask too many questions about Dr. Anomaly's devices or methods. He always gets the job done, but occasionally it's because he takes the laws of the universe out for dinner, a few drinks, and then back to his place, where he...well, you get the idea."

My Saturday Super hero game just started over this week. The players all brought me new characters. Chris, one of the players in my group brought me a Paraplegic shrinker.
I think I took the best quote, when I ask
"How does you character (The paraplegic) use his Martial Arts?"
