  1. Re: Musings on Random Musings *laughing* I grew up in white-bread, Main-Street, WASP Suburbia (although I am only W, not A, S, or P). Not quite uber-conservative, but pretty damned close. And when my mom is totally driven by what everyone else in the world thinks, there's just no stopping her sometimes. *shrug* Okay, decision time... do I stay on the boards a while longer, or log off and go stomp the crap out of Chaos Overlords? Michelle aka Samuraiko
  2. Re: The cranky thread My house. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  3. Re: Musings on Random Musings She thought they were extremely inappropriate for a girl my age. (And I know for a fact that since she has very small feet, there was no chance she could swipe them for herself). Michelle
  4. Re: Musings on Random Musings Yeah, I think mine set me back $279... Which is why I nearly strangled my mother when she found them in my closet one day and THREW... THEM... OUT. (I was 18 at the time, with a size 9 foot...) And now that I wear a size 12, how the hell am I supposed to replace them? Michelle aka Samuraiko
  5. Re: A Thread for Random Musings After a long hiatus, I re-installed Chaos Overlords onto my computer and am seriously enjoying just listening to the music... If the insomnia persists, I will proceed to beat the living crap out of the game. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  6. Re: Musings on Random Musings I'm tall enough, IMO, thanks, that I won't wear platform shoes (not even the kind with the fish in them). F***-me/F***-you boots, of course, are another matter entirely (I had a pair of GORGEOUS black leather thigh high boots, with steel toes and 5-inch steel stiletto heels). Michelle aka Samuraiko
  7. Re: Musings on Random Musings Well, I want children, I really do. Unfortunately, I might not be able to have any, and I hate explaining that over and over again to various and sundry relatives. Then again, I've found that a useful deterrent involves me sighing and saying, "Well... if you think the world can handle John and me combined into a single child..." I've seen people go pale. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  8. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Finished another round on my little "credits" project, to the music from the Dark City trailer. Go me! Michelle aka Samuraiko
  9. Re: Musings on Random Musings Hence the reason I was so glad when I finally got married. But now the demands for grandchildren have begun. I've been tempted to reply, "Well, we're f***ing like rabbits, so expect one any day now." Michelle aka Samuraiko
  10. Re: Musings on Random Musings haha... no, John and Michelle. AKA John T and Samuraiko
  11. Re: A Thread for Random Musings The Travises are back from Christmas vacation! Michelle aka Samuraiko
  12. Re: Musings on Random Musings I can certainly vouch for that. Still completely mystifies me, after seven years of knowing John, that while nearly unflappable when it comes to the big things in life, the smallest irritations have him cursing a blue streak and throwing things. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  13. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Go me! I just used Windows Movie Maker to re-do the "credits" for my book, and actually managed to edit down a piece of music so that now it works as the music for the credits! YAH-HAH Took a 4m45s song down to 2m50s, exactly the length of time I could use, and it doesn't sound choppy or nothing! And even better, now the two different renditions I did are saved as WMA files, which means I can show them to other people! Now I just have to figure out which version works better, the one I did to "The Dragon Theme" (from Dragonball Z) or the one I did to the "Image Gallery" music (from Spiral). Decisions, decisions... Michelle aka Samuraiko
  14. Re: The cranky thread Man, I'm sorry... that's happened to both John and me now... Michelle aka Samuraiko
  15. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I really wish I knew how to take my own computer apart. I wanna take the DVD-ROM out of John's computer and the CD-ROM out of my old computer and put them both in my new computer, and I don't know how. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  16. Re: The cranky thread *sneaks in and replaces all the halogen lights with blacklights, but only after liberally splashing bleach all over the walls to make really neat patterns in the light* hee hee hee Michelle aka Samuraiko
  17. Re: The cranky thread You're welcome. If you want to be sipping Pina Coladas by the pool, you're invited to come visit me and hubby here in Phoenix. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  18. Re: The cranky thread Used to live in NJ/NYC before moving to AZ twelve years ago. And while I very much miss the snow (and I still look around here thinking, "It's flat, it's hot, and it's brown... this is not natural"), being able to sleep with the windows open in the middle of December is SO nice. Okay: mental note. Do a quick weather spell for Prod out in Maryland... even if I can't warm it up, I can at least keep it from raining. I think. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  19. Re: The cranky thread Gee, it's a balmy 72 degrees here in Phoenix, with a low tonight of 45. If the weather stays like this the next few days, I can indulge in one of my favorite Christmas day pastimes. Calling my friends and family back home on the East Coast and saying, "Yeah, it's a gorgeous day out here, we're all sitting outside by the pool in t-shirts and jeans, enjoying the sun," knowing full well they're probably buried under six feet of snow and a wind chill factor of -30. Michelle aka Samuraiko
  20. Re: The cranky thread Thank Enforcer84 for that one, that was how he complimented me on the "Compliment the Person Above" thread. I liked it so much I made it my epithet. And since YOU like it so much, I think I'll put it back. Michelle aka Samuraiko
