  1. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Ok... major wierdness. On a fluke I re-installed the MT 1.3b9 that We tried yesterday. And now it is working. The ony thing I did different is I left the 1.2b32 version installed in its own directory. I have tested with both Terrie's and my machines. So I think we should use the more up to date 1.3b9 version. One question... as a player how do I save the macros attached to a token. I would like to setup a tokens properties and save those properties, so that when game time comes I can load my token complete with character sheet and macros. So far I don't see how to do that. Each time I create a Token Macro then close the app. When I re-open and re-load the token the properties has reset and the character data and macros are gone...

  5. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Ok, apparently you are running server version 1.3b9. I am running client version 1.2b13 and they don't like each other. If you or GA can host the 1.3b9 zip so I can download it, I will jump on it. Then Jim can get it also.

  9. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Yea verily I sayeth... Go for it One problem, the version they sent me won't load any maps and the tools dropdown menu is blank. Plus once I click on it the app freezes. In addition while I can see the tokens in the browser they won;t load. The older version I have seems to work fine though, will it suffice or do we all need the same version. If we all need the same version can someone post the version I need to a website so that I can download it. I seem to not be able to download from RPtool.net or sourceforge without corrupting the file. This might be a good idea anyway so that Jim can get a copy also, then I can help him get it installed and show him how to do his own macros...
  10. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Ok the guys at RPTools.net got me squared away, but they sent me the latest build. I now have 1.3.b14. I have to play with the program and macros, but I am already impressed. You can do stacked dice rolls in the macro buttons. Here is what I did. 1) Right click a macro button 2) Label the button, for Example Sonic Stunner 3) In the macro box I typed: Hit Roll [1d6+1d6+1d6], Damage [1d6+1d6+1], Hit Location [3d6] With a single click it sent al three rolls... And displayed the indivdual dice... If you uncheck the autosend it sends the script to the chat bar first so that you can edit or add content, like a whisper switch
  11. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign What version of Maptools did you download? I am having problems downloading the latest release or even the Current Beta. I have 1.2.b13. I have posted on the MT forum for help getting this resolved. I am able to download but when I unzip, winzip says the file is corrupted.

  13. Re: TE Starship Design Theory Ulp! ok so the NCM is supposed to be x1 instead of the default x2 and if we need a movement greater then the default STL combat inches we go to FTL? If this is the way you intended it I need to tweak our ORPG Node...

  16. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Glad to help, and I am looking forward to seeing your ship construction altrenative methodology. In the die roller I have included a couple of notes tabs just for tracking extra information. One of the tabs is for the ship Hit Location chart. So that if you chose to use it, it wil be available for quick reference. The process would be let the dieroller roll hit, damage, and location then click the location tab and read the results for a ship hit location. Are you going to create a Ships Computer for the Mercury, or are we going to wing it?

Re: Starships, Speed & Game Balance I would affect damage/defenses against the different class sizes as follows... attacking one class above grants the target 25% damage reduction, 2 level 50% and 3 levels 75%. Attacking targets of at least two levels lower grants Armor Piercing and Penetrating, and 3 levels grants NND does body. This is assuming the four classes listed above. You may wish to actually break the vehicles down by Size and DEF. Say Size 20 and below are small vehicles, Size 21 to 50 are medium Vehicles, and Size 51+ are large Vehicles. Then further filter that any armored vehicle (like Tanks) are automatically +1 class (so our tank will automatically be a medium vehicle regardless of size). This would make an armored medium vehicle defend like a large vehice for purposes of being attacked by lower class weapons.
  21. Re: What books are good for ships Another good book with some great alternate ship construction rules, and samples is Traveller Hero Book 2 from Comstar Games. The PDF version comes complete with ship counters/tokens, Hero Designer files, and several sample writeups.
